I used to use this app on the T9. After installing my T10 3.1 I downloaded this very app, but I didn’t know that you could change so many things on this app. I might have to reinstall that.
Thanks for the video. Everyone on YT shows the install in detail, but are glossing over any of the functions in-use. Do you use the volume controls on your steering wheel only? I only saw a volume slider in the notification bar. I like the idea of the V3 screen size, but I might hate giving up my volume knob. Also, how's the screen with polarized sunglasses?
Yes, I use the volume control 100% of the time from the steering wheel. I've had the T9, T10, and now the T10v3 (knobless) and I don't miss the volume knob. You'll get used to controlling from the steering wheel rather quickly. I never once said I wished I had the knob. As far as your polarized concern. I can't speak on that since I don't have any polarized glasses. I for one hate polarized glasses because you see those weird spots on the window and that's why I never picked up on the polarized glasses... 🙂

Quickest way is through steering wheel. But if you want to adjust you can as well from the head unit by pulling down the top menu. I also never do it that way though. Steering wheel is the best. You can also mute from steering wheel.
Great video! Just curious, why is the escort 360 being displayed in the screen? I also have the same radar and was wondering if there is any functionality to it. Great content btw!
Thanks for the comment. So I rarely have the 360 app running. However when it is running the radar will display the current speed limit of the road you’re on, on the device which is neat. It also shares information from other 360 app users when they spot a cop and they mark it on the map. It’ll show a coo logo on the device. But the user base for the app is tiny. Again I rarely use it.
Android head units have came a good way I see. I’m still anxious about switching just because they can freeze up. Also the other thing is I’d loose my xm radio. How’s the xm radio app work on this unit ? I know on iPhone it’s laggy af. That would be the main thing I’d need and the backup camera
Yes you’ll lose XM. But to be honest with all of the available streaming apps like Amazon Music, Spotify, Apple, Etc… it’s really a non issue. And much cheaper than XM. Backup camera works beautifully. No issues. These unit have not froze on me and I have had the T9/T10v1/T10v3 and now the latest T10v3.1. All have been solid units. Having said that, these are tablets and occasionally they require a soft reboot as mention in the video. No different than when you reboot your phone once in a blue moon. 😊

Hi, I just installed my T10 and I'm trying to get Alexa to be my default voice command as well. When I press the button, Alexa pops up but doesn't stay for my actual command, any tips?
I don’t recall what the image was like with the oem rear camera. Been a minute for me. I did upgraded my rear camera to an AHD camera due to my tire carrier. In doing so, I’ve improved it 100 fold.
@@samuelaskco9086 just remember that this is essentially a tablet. So you’ll have tablet like issues to deal with if any. Having said that, the v3.1 has been a solid head unit for me. No issues. If you experience any issues that you can’t figure out, there is also a Facebook group that has a lot of topics covered. Or you can reach out to me and I can help address them. Most of the issues or “problems” folks experience are just settings issues. I will say the customer support from cartrimhome is unbeatable.
It has a slot to accept sim, yes. But I’ve found that hotspotting from your phone or having a hotspot device that of one like the T-Mobile is a better option. You get greater speeds.
I found that if you take calls using through head unit it is good. But using it through CarPlay it’s terrible. I don’t know why that is. But I never use CP anyways because of its app limitations. Using the native head unit is a much better experience specially if you hotspot with your phone to get internet.

yes, there is built-in wifi. You can hotspot from your phone and get internet. This is what I do.
The only place I know that does car installs is best buy, not sure they sell these units.
They don’t sell this at Best Buy. Install is easy. And there are plenty of videos in TH-cam showing the installation of this unit. It’s a no brainer.
does it have car play and does it have a DSP integrated?
Yes and yes
Hows the radio signal? Heard a couple of people having problems with the radio
The radio signal is not has strong. It it still works. If you stream music with any of the popular platforms, it’s not an issue really.
