Call Tyler said unit look up the T10 unit for 4Runners. All you use this for is radio then buy this head unit but if you’re wanting to watch videos and actually get the full screen of the video you’re watching by the Tuten I’m saying. I’ve had both and I returned the Dasaita.
This video and your interior mod video have me thinking on my next vehicle purchase. I have a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited V8 I've had since 08/09 when I was fresh out of college. The issues are piling up on it. Body work on back and front, entire right 2 doors' electrical is shot, cruise doesn't work (dealt with that for 9+ years), oil pan leak, AC/blend doors going, sounds like axel is having issues....yeah, money pit. Jeep has become that overall. So I'm fairly set on replacing it with a 5th gen 4Runner. Originally was going to go look for a 2020-2023 Off-Road Premium since I'm waiting a year (debt). However, with the upgrades I'd think I could save $5000-$10000 by getting maybe a 2017-2019 and putting in the extras I want. Thanks for the ideas!
These upgrades make my 2016 feel nicer than the 2022 ones in my opinion! There are some benefits to the newer models like touch to start, but I think the Dasaita headunit is much nicer than the ones coming on the 2022 4Runners. Hope you enjoy it! I love mine still after nearly 6 years.
How is the song quality when hooking this unit up? I’ve been looking to get an updated head unit for my runner… saw some people complained that it was a fuzzy/not clear resolutions so thought I would double check with you. Love your content. Thanks again in advance.
Hey Michael love your video, it helped me pull the trigger on the Dasaita Just got it installed. A few questions. 1.) how do you get the TH-cam videos to stream on the screen? 2.) when having 2 phones connected via Bluetooth/Apple car play, how do you make 1 the primary phone
Michael I have same model as you just wondering if you don't have apple car play is the unit still worth getting as my original head unit will not update now and must replace, cheers for the videos really enjoy them
Great video. I have the 2016 4runner as well. How did get your built in wifi working before getting your hotspot connected? I have to connect to my hotspot to use the unit’s gps, still kinda weak.
Hi Michael I have same unit on my 4Runner limited 2018 installed looks beautiful but the only one thing is not showing the Toyota logo can I know why is not coming up?
Thanks for the review! How’s it holding up almost a year later? Just bought a 2016 4Runner myself (couldn’t afford newer ones) so I’ll be doing some upgrades as well! I was thinking of going with a Hamilton unit!
So this unit looks fantastic in terms of OEM feel and slick use of the space, but it seems like all of the recent reviews are not great with the OS constantly having issues. Anyone else seeing major issues with this?
I can’t seem to connect the Dasaita 10.25” on to my 2017 4runner limited , some of the harness connections don’t seem to match Can u please help recommend a professional to knock this off , near Dallas Fort-worth area tx
Thanks for posting this, and great job with the review. My apologies if these questions have been answered, but here goes: 1) if I connect an old school iPod classic through the USB port in front of the cup holders, will this Dasaita screen display the cover art, tracks/playlist/artist/song info like the Toyota OEM stereo did? And 2) Is this Dasaita unit compatible with Sirius XM? My 2013 4Runner has the XM antenna, so I’d prefer to continue to use it versus using the Sirius XM app via CarPlay while using all that data.
Good unit but it's getting old, soon to be replaced/upgraded. Unfortunately, my experience in dealing with the company was extremely off-putting. That alone has made me look for better alternatives or look for a dealer that will be selling the new/improved unit. I can wait.
Hey Michael! Great videos on small additions to your 4runner.. I am curious if the Dasaita has changeable colors for the physical buttons/knob to match the interior lighting? for example, my 2013 has all ORANGE lighting.. would I be able to match it?
It won't work on 2010 2011 2012 and 2013 wiring is different on those years and they send you a unit with 2014 and up wiring. Already dealt with this on my 2011 4runner same goes for t9 head unit.
@@MrRussian2023 really? that's odd. They even have 2010-2013 specific models as an option, then also 2014+. Were you able to choose the 2010-2013 Dasaita model, and it still didn't work? Thanks
If you are using a different navigation app on your phone, will it play on the head unit? I use RideWithGPS and it works great for turn by turn, I can create routes and so on. Could I play that app over this head unit versus the phone?
I don't think so as it's through Apple Car Play, but the sounds from your phone will probably play over the sound system. This works with Apple Maps and Waze I believe.
Hello. Have you tried using thr RDJ head unit knobs to match thr climate controls on the Daseita? I Have the whole and I'm curious to see if they could be swapped.

Great review, thx. After watching your video and then doing my own research on the head-unit, I ordered one for my ‘17 ORP. Can’t wait!
I think you will enjoy it! Love mine still.
I am the Android Head Unit King and I approve of this video. Mike great video.
Thanks for the shout out!
Did your steering wheel controls continue to work?
How is the sound quality? Does it have RCA outputs?
Great video, appreciate the details. What are your thoughts more than a year later, would you still go with this option?
It would take me 6 hours, then I'd stop and try again the next day, and then 2 hours.

I know this is a year late; however, he was watching TH-cam on Google Chrome, using his phone as the WiFi source.

I can confirm this is definitely the case! I bought this unit in July of 2023 and had it for 3 weeks before it stopped working

Yes! Love it
