Thanks for the video! We aren't new to homeschooling, but new to Abeka. We are going into a season of life that will require more help from family members, and they aren't as willing as they used to be. With a newborn, we will need all the help we can get and Abeka sounds like it might be our friend. I am considering purchasing for one semester this year and seeing what it's like, since we will only need help January on. I like abeka for K-2nd. Their phonics program is wonderful! There are ways to do abeka on a budget. This year, I used the workbooks and kindergarten videos for phonics and numbers only. You can use your free trial hours wisely and then use the video on demand option to finish up. Next year for first grade I plan to do language parent led and just purchase single subject Abeka Academy Arithmetic . I believe they run a 10% single subjects in September. We do Science and History with different curriculums and as a group. Hope this helps!

We pay 10,100 per kid for private school and it seems to increase every year . We have 3 currently in school, so yes it’s very expensive!!. We are excited to start this program and homeschool journey for the first time!

Congratulations, ill bet there are a lot of other things that money could go to for your family! I'm sure it will be great, and remember, one curriculum might not work for each student and that's ok, you have a lot of options now (even online private schools that are much more affordable). The program is self paced so you go at your own pace. It's a homeschooling program not a school.

I think they'd have to ask their parents as this program doesn't have a feature like that. It's more like you get the books and everything to do at home but you watch video lessons online.

No, this is more like if you got a textbook with dvds, except now the lessons are online (although they still have the dvd option) but you still need the textbooks.

Doing 5th grade. Spelling, language, and handwriting is a lot!! Should be less and combined as a Language Arts grade. That’s my opinion.
