Ahh glad I found this. We just started Night Zookeeper yesterday to do as a family with my early reader & his little siblings - they love it and now ask to do it all day 😅 about 20 minutes is good for me because I have to manage it all haha.
IXL. Have them do the diagnositcs arena for awhile. The numbers will be in hundreds like 200, 300 etc. but they are aligned with grade levels so 200 would be 2nd grade, etc.
Readability Tutor might be a good choice, especially for comprehension. IXL can help assess learning gaps and recommend skills to practice to help close the gaps. Reading Eggs might also be worth a try.
The Lightsail premium plan includes ADHD and Dyslexia reading support. Night zookeeper also "has been proven to work well for children with dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD, amongst many other special educational needs (SEN)" according to their website.
I recently did another review of online reading programs and found that Nessy Reading and Spelling was a good choice for students learning English as a second language.
It wasn't on this list but I actually really like Homeschool+. Which is made by the creators of ABC mouse. I like that too. Or Homer. Hooked on Phonics is good too.
@@AmandaMelrose honestly it was over a decade ago and I failed the class, so I'm probably not a great case study 😂 I did get my degree, just no calculus class haha

I'm glad you're enjoying night zookeeper! I have a video coming out this week on a new program called Comprendi that you might like as well!
What resource do you think is best to do an assessment on where they are?
IXL. Have them do the diagnositcs arena for awhile. The numbers will be in hundreds like 200, 300 etc. but they are aligned with grade levels so 200 would be 2nd grade, etc.
Love the top 10s!
Thank you! I hope you find them helpful!
What is the best one for a 4th grader that’s struggling to read and comprehend?
Readability Tutor might be a good choice, especially for comprehension. IXL can help assess learning gaps and recommend skills to practice to help close the gaps. Reading Eggs might also be worth a try.
Is the nighttime zoo keeper good for struggling readers that are in 3rd grade?
My suggestion would be if you try the program, lower the level. You can adjust it all the way down to pre-k if you need to.
What is the best one for kid with ADHD and dyslexia?
The Lightsail premium plan includes ADHD and Dyslexia reading support. Night zookeeper also "has been proven to work well for children with dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD, amongst many other special educational needs (SEN)" according to their website.
Could you please tell us about epic app
Thanks for the recommendation, I will check it out!
Which one would you suggest for a spanish speaking 6 year old who reads in spanish and is learning to read english?
I recently did another review of online reading programs and found that Nessy Reading and Spelling was a good choice for students learning English as a second language.

We had to use ALEKS for my college calculus class, it was awful lol
Ha ha ha it is pretty dry but did it get the job done?
