literally the perfect band for this, Chris and Kyle have such distinctly-different riffing styles while still maintaining the band's unfuckwithable DNA
It's a triple pinnacle: • Zombie EP 1 • With Roots Above and Branches Below • Dead Throne These 3 albums are the best resume of what is TDWP for Metalcore.
i like that you made a video that obviously wasn’t going to be very popular on TH-cam, for me it means that you really love music, and it somehow warms my heart. thank you
Thanks for this I have always loved this band and followed them from the beginning. The beginning reminds me of my army days in my early 20s to my 30s now a father. Crazy how many memories
The main/initial riff of Danger: Wildman for me is still the best and most captivating (yet very simple) riff of metalcore. I don't know, it pumps me up so much, no other song has the same effect on me. Cheers for a great video!
Hi everyone! Hope you having a wonderful day. Please be good on all of your endeavors and just be safe and what you do. Wish you all the best take care and God bless! Peace out everybody! 💚
I’m just gonna pick a random band off the top of my head that I think would be awesome for one of these videos... Phinehas. Not a very well-known band, but I think an evolution video of their riffs would be really interesting 🤘🏻🤓
IMO you mixed the guitars a little backwards on some of the riffs. You can barely hear the lead on Outnumbered (which is one of my all time favorite TDWP tracks) and Born to Lose. But you still did an amazing job I love the rest :)
They're not really a Christian band anymore though, it's been years since they called themselves one lol I read in a recent interview that Mike feels like he's the only Christian left sometimes, which is funny bc a lot of people accuse him of the opposite nowadays.. matter of fact, I know ABR doesn't call themselves Christian anymore either lol Christian metal as a whole is kinda dead from how I see it, in favor of just being Christians in a metal band.
Random GUY it really comes down to preference but I can tell ya that on a 24.75 inch scale you want nothing thinner than a 56 gauge and for a 25.5 inch scale you want nothing thinner than a 54 gauge. But you CAN go heavier for either depending on what feels right for you. Hope this helps 🤙🏻
Dude. What if you went back and found some of your earliest cringiest band material and videos and reacted to it. That would be a fun look back at the past.
@@kssael lol that is sad but true. but i loved a lot of rise record bands back in the day tho so no hate. some of them are still making music and are far more solid now at least, but thats just my opinion
This used to be one of my all time favorite bands. But since half of their original lineup is gone, they’ve moved in a direction that’s lost my interest. Space EP was the last album that I bought. Watching this made me miss the With Roots and Zombie era.
Go vote in the Patreon Poll to pick which of these riffs I make into a full cover! www.patreon.com/baenagalactic Thanks for watching :)
Yeah I def picked Sassafras. Easily my favorite TDWP album.
What's up with the leads on this video?
The leads are barely audible :( would it be possible to re-upload this with better audio?
This band is like wine, gets better and heavier with time
While Mike's voice gets worse and worse over time.
Well zombie was his peak but he just got worse after that
@@benerdick_cumberbiatch hahahahaha, you're right man, I got no words 😂😂
That knife lmao

That dagger bit wuz priceless, unexpected, & absolutely satisfying
0:48 I love you for this😂😂
Josua Stangl SHWING!
Wow, this video brought back so many memories. The Devil Wears Prada is the band that got me to teach myself guitar.
With Roots Above And Branches Below is by far their best album. I always listen straight through. There isn't a bad song on it.
idk man Dead Throne is their pinnacle to me. that being said i really enjoyed WRAABB

Breakdown of sanity pls
I'd like to see Rush, Every Time I Die, Dance Gavin Dance, or Dayseeker tuned down.
Super25Smasher etid
Rush! :))
Thanks for this I have always loved this band and followed them from the beginning. The beginning reminds me of my army days in my early 20s to my 30s now a father. Crazy how many memories
Man I miss their Drop D sound :(
sorry

something sounded really off with the dogs cover but it's amazing how you did this good job man. I loved it.
You are a legend for making this video
Nice playing. I might cover some of their songs. 😉👍
Can you do an Underoath riff evolution?
I’m just gonna pick a random band off the top of my head that I think would be awesome for one of these videos... Phinehas. Not a very well-known band, but I think an evolution video of their riffs would be really interesting 🤘🏻🤓
Chris Rubey is a genius!
Roots above, and space Ep my fav
(Blows out vocal cords) I WOOOOOOOONT LET THIS RUIN MEEEEEEEEEEEE
Wow ur a legend with the guitar! Never listened to dwp. But i guess, its Now Time to do it! I would love to See some breakdown of sanity here!
Saw them live last month... was nothing short of amazing
The only band that I truly enjoy their sound changes
Dear love, was the best album for me. TDWP FOR LIFE
why are the leads so quiet?
Compression my friend
Awesome video dude
It’s a shame you didn’t use the groove riff in Constance or the opening riff in Home For Grave. Those are some damn good ones haha
Sailor's prayer is one of their best songs.
Lead guitar is barely audible :(
didn't know if that was just me
He overcompressed it
I came here to look for this comment
Love me some TDWP
Sick!! you just gained a subscriber. Any chance for either Fall of Troy or Protest the Hero?
FFAK RIFF EVOLUTION!!!
Hey Andrew, what's your name again?
sick!
You should do what if glass cloud tuned down!!
I remember TDWP. Cool metalcore band.
Timothy McKane their new album is the shit!
@@devinbender8428 considering he said "remember" I don't think he'd be a fan of their new sound.
Great vid, man. will be here Norma Jean riff evolution.?.... I hope......
Good job!
🤘🏼🤘🏼 sick
Are my audio settings fucked up or was Solar guitar's volume really low?
full cover of numb please!
Do impending doom or Whitechapel

!!!!I LOVE DWP, BEST CHRISTIAN METAL GROUP JEXT TO ABR!!!!
Gabriel FSP I wouldn’t go THAT far, but I also think they’re great 🤘🏻😁

what string gauge do you use for drop c?

@@kman080498 thanks for the info
nice.
🔥🔥🔥
Also Idk thus band well so this is a soldi intro!
Same, these videos are actually really good for introducing me to new bands
...also hi😂
A deftones video like this would be tight
Already did that ☺️
What are you using to take the vocals out of the music for your covers? I'm having issues editing mine. Thanks in advance mate.
I record everything from scratch and program all the drums haha, I do not edit the original songs
Fucking epic
New guitar??
I'd like this more than a few times if I could
Zombie EP is killer
Sic Yo! \M/
You gotta do Emmure tuned down. Imagine A.I. tuned down sheesh
Came for the music, stayed to see if the gunpla could survive the riffs without falling off the speaker
Yo, the sword
So many green guitars yet you don't have John B Brubaker's signature Ibanez.
bro audio sounds like it's distorting. not if it's just me but some of the riffs I can't even hear.
Your own guitar sound is quiet in the mix, why
It's funny how he doesnt play some riffs right, but still sounds good
Why are most of these wrong tho

Only one song from their best Album???
I always do two from studio albums, one from EPs (I also only did one from the new album since it's not out yet)
I really don't notice too big of a difference 😕
watch this at 1.5x speed you will not be disappointed xD
my evolution (2006-2019): i made more bad decisions

You heard Z2 yet???
Turn up the lead guitar in the mix next time my dude
13th comment!!!!
John McLucas first in our hearts my guy.
The process of taking a dump explained with guitar!

I never realized how mediocre / ass some of these riffs were until now, after not listening to them for like 8 years lol
