    First Act needs to change their goddamn name if they want to be taken seriously.

    • @mdanthony18
      @mdanthony18 9 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      True. Every time I just bring up the name First Act my friends react as if they suck or they're just good for beginners but not for serious, skilled musicians. Which is true. First Act should have their custom guitars and other instruments under a completely different brand but keep the beginner guitars with the same brand so their reputation won't be as bad.

    • @FrostByte_AC
      @FrostByte_AC 9 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      Yeah. Maybe name their pro shop "Final Act".

    They show Mike's guitar rig but skip Andy's bass rig? maybe its because im a bassist but I wanted to see Andy talk about his gear :(

    • @tMatt5M
      @tMatt5M 10 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      The bass player is always the red headed step child of the band. I admire your sacrifice by choosing the bass.

    • @TheBandFake

    To clear things up. First act had a custom shop at one point with actual luthiers (however you spell it) from fender and Gibson but due to changes on the business side they got rid of it.

    • @jfr04
      @jfr04 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm sure they are fine guitars, but I think most chuckle a bit when you see someone playing a First Act guitar. I am an old school metal head and not into the Devil Wears Prada etc, so I just don't relate. Charvel, Ibanez, Kramer and Gibson's are more my speed.

    • @acarlovonsexron1994
      @acarlovonsexron1994 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Firelock I don't get this group either, but High on Fire and Mastodon are way more old school. Those Mastodon guys have a huge collection of 70s and 80s Gibson's, Silverburst Flying V's and LP Customs, E2 and Artist CMT Explorers, RD's, etc. Bill even has his own signature Goldburst Explorer. Brent just needed a 12 string in the style of a Yamaha SG, and the First Act guys built it up for him. He also has a killer plexilglass flying v with a vibrola and an aluminum neck built by some guys that are doing Travis Bean reissues and customs out of Pensacola, Florida.

    some things make me question their actual faith in Jesus, in one of their songs it says "The blood relationship creates a wicked demise" when the blood relationship = eternal life the OPPOSITE of wicked demise.
    And in Hey John Whats Your Name Again
    He says "Salvation lies within" when it obviously lies within Jesus, not yourself.
    , Then they adopt traingle, and Mike Hranica has an upside down pentagram brand for foot pedal?????? I think they are one of those wolf in sheeps clothing Christian bands but idk for sure.... however my first example is pretty crazy.

      First Act makes a lot of very, very good guitars. Listen again and you'll hear that their First Act guitars are all custom, one-off guitars. Sure, First Act's beginner guitars may suck (which clouds the company's reputation) but they do indeed make very good products.

    JHS doesnt have a tape delay, the delay that they have now is the cub panter, and in my opinion the empress tape is way better

      Tape delay or Tap tempo delay, im maybe wrong but the point is that the empress tape delay is one of the better tape delays that are in market why he want to change for some expensive product of JHS

      Well obviously because he personally likes it better. That's what separates a real guitarists from someone who plays guitar. There is no better, only different things for different uses. You should learn that.

      David Snow They actually hate the name, but they figured it wore on them. By the time they started to hate the name, everyone knew them as TDWP

    I have a question and if someone could help please do!
    that black ibanez arz has two pickups and no switch, just a volume pot.
    does somebody know are both pickups on all time or is only the bridge connected and the neck is only there for esthetics?

    •  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      So it's like I said...like a one pickup guitar with a volume knob. Thanks
