In this series, Lives of the Sahaba, Shaykh Dr. Yasir Qadhi discusses the lives of the noble companions, some of the greatest and most blessed human beings to ever live after the death of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him [S].
While not a comprehensive history of the Khulafa Ar-Rashidoon, this series will provide a summarized biography of the men and women considered to be the Sahaba (companions of the Prophet [s]), including the Mothers of the Believers (the wives of the Prophet).

Salam, I love this series, I just wanted to offer a correction that the distance between the Kaaba and masjid quba is less than 430 km, and he would have likely had to walk more like 19 miles a day (unless the path was very crooked, doubling the distance) which would mean walking about 1.9 miles an hour for approx 10 hours each night (or 3.8 miles an hour for 5) would get him there in two weeks. It’s still terrifying and amazing in the desert and given his age, lack of amenities, it’s just not 40.

I think sheikh mistakenly said that asma binti umais was preparing fatimah for the wedding with ali. I think she was with her husband ja'far in habasya...perhaps asma binti abu bakar...waallahu'alam

Lovely lecture once again. But the story with Abu Dharr Al Ghifari does not match the story which Sheykh told 3 lectures before. He said when Abu Bakr RA asked him where he slept Abu Dharr said 30 days behind the ghifar of the kaaba and that he only drank ZamZam water... Here he says that he spent days with Ali RA and that he then took him To RasulAllah saw... But either way I get the point:)

Keep remember one things the villain and enemy of Allah real enemies like abujahal and firon etc was rea was real and fare enemy and they have some qualities coz Allah enemies . You study about the real enemies if Allah you will not find any hypocrisy in them

in Martin lings page 167 it's stated that "abu Bakr and Umar had both asked for Fatima hand but prophet had put them off ....." wala hu Alam.
