i'll take the Skoda, as an owner of a 2016 model I've been very impressed with the car overall and would happily take this upgrade - as long as it is the 2.0D 4x4 like my current car
Don’t like lack of buttons and that ugly screen, seats etc are good but car is now creeping into Arteon territory I prefer a coupe hatch type as good boot space and better looks better than saloon with small boot lid
For the first time its really rebadging. In the past passat and superb shared platform, but superb was more stretched and used worse materials while passat offered better interior and better handling but was less practical. Now both passat (which is only estate) and superb are the same (hence suprisingly same boot space). Not only platform but whole car. Both developed by skoda branch. Vw is now focusing on EVs and other modern projects. Passat is no longer in the spotlight.
Used worse materials! That's rubbish, an MK2 Skoda Superb was light years ahead of the same age Passat, the interior quality was far more superior with fit and finish. The passat used lots of cheap and crappy silver trim and sticky touch plastics.
@@paulie-Gualtieri. Skoda < VW < Audi. I have all 3 cars. V6 A6 3.0, Passat 2.0 and a Superb 2.0. I can drive a Superb max 120km/h, Passat 150 km/h and Audi with same noise 200 km/h. Audi at 260 km/h sounds better then Superb at 160 km/h (which for me is almost impossible to drive).
I appreciate the SUPERB i really do, but i like the interior of the passat more from chromatics options to minimalist design & the exterior experimental design really grew on me lately.
Tje moment when Volkswagen take the good parts in Skoda, cause they think this are the worst parts. But in the meantime they build the shitty parts on their car's...
Review would make people think these are different cars. Indeed the Passat was developed by Skoda and is exactly a Superb but with a different layout. Problem is, the 1.5Tsi will likely be too small for it pushing price a lot in the premium segment (if you go 2.0Tsi). And diesels are becoming less of a sustainable option these days.
Skoda is still a budget car with no insulation. Noise on the highway above 120km/h is horrible. It has "everything" but fails at the most important thing.
Sorry, but that's just wrong. Of course the Superb has a wind noise, like any other car, but it is not louder or quieter than the Volvo V90. I have driven both cars for a long time and therefore know the difference very well. You sound like someone who just wants to rant...
SKODA look more Business and elegant!

Same cars, just different cover
Both designed by Skoda.
Let's combine the front of Superb and the rear of Passat. That will be perfect!

Skoda for the interior and more user friendly feature vw for the variant r exterior.
They both need more physical buttons !!
The only option of 1.5 passat for the UK market could make it a salesflop it's was a desperately underpowered engine in the last generation passat

Much better the superb
Passat Rline Plug in hybrid 280hp its BEST
The same car, minus the knobs in the passat.... Really now
Add the Audi A4 and BMW series 3 to compare all 4
A4 and 3 serie are octavia and golf avant sizes. The Passat and superb are the size of a 5 series and a6
Sadly we in the United States get nothing.
You guys killed anything that isn't SUV, blame the people
Too expensive. And I'd rather not have a plug-in hybrid. If hybrids are being considered I'd rather have a Toyota. They are attractive design of cars.
VW Passat.
Passat is better
