- The new Volkswagen Passat Variant B9 (2024/2025) can be equipped with Travel Assist system which offers improved visual displays of other vehicles detected nearby in the Virtual Cockpit. This system combines the Adaptive Lane Assist (works also on unmarked roads) and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), in conjunction with a navigation system, also anticipates bends, junctions and roundabouts - yes, it really slows down before tighter corners etc. I checked how Volkswagen Passat Estate 2024/2025 drives in semi-autonomous mode on sub-urban roads, in a city (traffic jam assist) and on highway. See how does it works in real-life conditions.

VW system is really nice. And very good video. Kudos to your bravery in testing 😀
Wow 16:51!!!! the car did ok on the corner apart from that section.
What's the best line assist you tested for long drive (does Lexus is the best) ? thank you !!
Would love to see the same test on the iD.7 !
I will try to prepare such movie.
How does in compare to the BMW's system?
Have you watched the test of BMW's systems? :) th-cam.com/video/4T6v5hoX6R8/w-d-xo.html
do you maybe know if touareg from 2022 has this? i will assume 2024 does have this, correct?
Touareg probably has different system, similar do Audi Q7 and Q8, also: A8, A6 and A7.
@@1001cars would you say better or worse? this one looks really good. was thinking of getting myself a 2022 touareg, but the data on autonomous driving is very hard to find...
@@lukabukvic2782 Mostly it is better, I think A8 has some improvements (for example longer time to auto-resume) over A6/A7, but in general it is the same system: th-cam.com/video/eF9FELZdBrw/w-d-xo.html
and video from A8: th-cam.com/video/zRMdXrECMjY/w-d-xo.html
Does it work only with navigation? Meaning you have to set a destination or no?
I strongly recommend you to watch the very first seconds of the movie. Was the navigation set on? :)
No driver assistance kit must work with the navigation system, however, the car goes no where if the driver has zero engagement. That's why the Tesla FSD has to work with the navigation system, just like you have to tell the taxi driver where to go.
Bei welchem Auto funktioniert das autonome Fahren deiner Meinung nach am besten?
It depends on a road :) Are you asking about city or highway driving?

BMW is the best in traffic jam assist. Watch this movie for example: th-cam.com/video/4T6v5hoX6R8/w-d-xo.html
What’s the file consumption? Can you pls make your typical video on it ?
Fuel consumption? I linked it in the end of this one.
No lane change assist ?
At least in tested car when I used turn lever nothing special happened (lane assist turned off and nothing more)
Przetestujcie proszę nowego Swifta :)
Nie widzę jakiejś różnicy względem TSS 3.0 od Toyoty.
Są różnice, ale ogólnie to jest porównywalny poziom :)
is not for my wife, has to constantly press the button
Show me the car in EU where you do not have to :)
2024 BMW 5 series, Mercedes W223, W214? @1001cars
@@Kendal1999 yes, with BMW you do not have to press resume button in a traffic jam as long as you keep your eyes on the road but still you have to keep hands on the steering wheel. Every car in such situation can restart the driving when you push a little bit gas pedal. I use "res" button in my movies to show there is sth. what the driver has to do.
waiting for BYD
This is basically adaptive cruise control with lane keep assist and low speed follow for traffic jams. That traffic prediction part it's bs, it doesn't predict anything lol just reads the signs, cars from 2012 can do that
So, explain what happened at ~7:20-7:25
