Next time you head out to mandurah that first area, head all the way down to that dirt carpark/boat ramp where the big rocks are in the water, late arvo or early morning you'll have a good sesh on the surface lures
Great vid. I have had success on micro poppers by working it slower with pauses in between. It’s great to see someone documenting there fishing expeditions around the south west.
Thats interesting ive always been told to never stop working the lure because soon as it stops moving they will stop showing interest. Ill have to give it a go with some of my actual micro poppers next time 🔥
Great vid cob! You got the result, and, hey, I reckon those frustrating days where you work hard for a fish always make the ones you do catch that bit more satisfying 🎣🍻👍
I dont mind showcasing these kinds of videos but my ultimate goal is to produce content that is enjoyable to watch no matter the outcome. But realistically if i had the choice i would only show episodes where i catch good fish all the time but that just isnt possible 😆
Cool share🎣🎣🎣🐟🐟🐟🐟Great fishing❤😍👍🏻extraordinary video, very beautiful, good, I enjoyed this video, good luck with your work, success and good health always for you, Amen, thank you, my dear friend, for sharing an entertaining, interesting and useful video, good work, I support you forever💯✅🤝🤝🙏🏿💝
Thabkyou so much! Not only fishing effort but honestly i would have to say the editing requires alot more of the total effort. And im still not the best at it 🥲😆
I rate small fast attach clips for this type of fishing. Remrmber also the Whiting love prawns so lures like the Sugerpen honey Bee are a go to for many regulars
I like the small clips too i just didnt have any small enough at the time. I usually have a large quantity of them but i use them for my micro jigs and never put them back once im finished with them ahahahaha Im definitely going to do alot more research in regards to more lures to try for next time, thankyou for the recommendations 👍
Persistence mate well done! I reckon I would have lost hope after 500 casts 😅epic fish and edit, so good to watch 🎣🔥🔥 a style of fishing iv wanted to give a crack for ages but know this ain’t easy and it’s a long drive from my neck of the woods to likley luck out 🤣
Cheers jack!!! I really tried to push my self through for the content hey! I was so close to just giving up and 9 times out of 10 i do give up but i just had that gut feeling to keep going ahahahaa Nah that is understandable, its already a trek from where i live so where you live would be even worse ahahaha. Try and go with someone who already knows that area to really give it a proper go and to have a good chance otherwise dont even worry about it 😆
very interested in making a return to some better quality spots hey! this was a last minute decision and a random stab in the dark location wise. very happy i still managed some quality fishing tho!
Crystal minnow sinks which means it is good at subsurface attraction of whiting, especially deeper water. Caution, big tailor alert!. Go the stickbaits with assist hooks. In Mandurah, a medium speed retrieve with a slight tip jiggle to create splash - but not jerking and stopping generally. So, medium steady retrieve on the slight popper stickbait. Little splashes on steady retrieve the go.
Amazing advice man! I appreciate that alot. I love to always approach new styles of fishing blind to get a true grasp of the “grind” and seek help afterwards in areas i think i need improvement. This helps alot broski!
not too sure why i never used to use it! im intrigued to see how future videos will look. only downside is i think super view is also what made my gopro overheat so often. it is a stock handle with a pletry small gourd knob in blue. available on their website pletry.com or on hedgehog studio
Have you fished the Henderson cliffs before? The spot seems to have some good potential if you go when the conditions are right since theres heaps of reef and shit.
I have before but i havnt been back in ages. I know around this time of year you get awesome little chopper tailor in the late morning but unsure if it still produces like it used to
I would love to do more, even tho it was a grind i had alot of fun 🫡 i honestly cant even remember. It was somewhere near the dawesville reserve boat ramp
She was very windy that morning but once it hit around 11:00-11:30 the seabreeze came in the way the estuary is situated it ended up really cleaning up the water the further into the afternoon it got
Went down there last week and had the same issue mate, they seem to only bite zx lures or blood worms. Spent about 2 hours casting with top water lures and caught 1 the whole time, then switched to the zx and got instant hookups.
sooooo mad i lost my zx, i was resisting the urge to tie it on for a solid 2 hours and when i went to go and look for it and couldn't find it i was so mad ahahahaha. good to know they're a good lure to rely on tho
Just asking, also from perth, I have just started top water lures starting with the suga pen splash, I just wanted to ask do you have any good spots for top water fishing in the swan, I cant catch anything in the swan, last time spent literally 9 hours fishing and only 1 hit, do yiu have any good spots for topwater lures cas they really fun
im really sorry man i dont unfortunately. i have tried to make a video in the swan 3 times now to no avail. ive been struggling mightily as well and its still a learning thing for my self
Its the tt lures sling bag bro! Not the best quality but it definitely does the job for the price. It was only hurting my back because i packed it so damn full of stuff i didnt need ahahaha
@Mikefish232 daiwa is definitely better quality and i loooveee the pockets in the straps but the rod holder on the tt bag is what sold me. If the daiwa one had a rod holder i would absolutely be using that instead
Use it as motivation to try and do better than i did. I prefer to be told fishing a certain way at a certain spot is underwhelming so when i give it a go and it ends up being great i feel like a pro ahahaha
I would 100% agree. I like to go in blind for the first few sessions so i get a true example of what a bad day might look like and a good day to get a more accurate picture of what to try when it comes to new styles of fishing
Too much colour in those first two lures bro. They'll rarely hit anything with solid colours or highly reflective shit on them.... the mostly clear ones are what you need for whiting.
@@adamimberti6948 i have been told that hey. But ive also been told the opposite 😆 i had purchased 90% of these whiting lures about 2 years ago with the intention of doing it but never did. Still havnt really restocked them ahahaha. My skills are definitely levelling up slowly and i would love to get back down there 🤙 cheers for the info!
@kookfishin I would say lure colour was 99% of your problem. You're doing everything else right, grab a couple of mostly clear lures and do everything else the same and you'll have a much better day.
Mannnn idk i have had my fair share of run throughs with those fish targeting other fish ahahaha. And when i desperately need them for live bait they NEVER want to get hooked up
welp, i was supposed to make this a private upload that was scheduled for tomorrow mornin. i guess you guys get an early one....

hey mate great video 👍 I just moved to Mandurah from the east and it has inspired me
Thankyou mate!! What part of the east? Ive always wanted to go over there and fish 🤙
Another ripper vid🤙, i have the exact same problem with the gopros over heating up here in the Pilbara.
Im pretty sure it might have something to do with recording in superview. Currently looking into the dji action pro 5 as an alternative
Met ya at bcf the other week , love the video brother 💯

You should try around Nairns bird hide area in Coodanup. It will generally always have some good fish kicking around.

Around the entrance of Murray River is pretty good for whiting and crabs on the flats. Around knee deep from the channel to shallow. A bit too windy

The surface bite is *very* wind dependent. Too windy or too still and they'll shut down.
As a Mandurah meth head, I endorse this video.
Sounds good to me! 😁
Hahaha!
I'm a Bunbury meth head and I love good fishing stint.
