1) you did not want to mount the manifold above the tank? 2) you ran both strut air lines down the driver side door sills. did you keep the air lines equal length even though the struts lines run down the driver side sill? (I was thinking about running the right strut down the passenger side door sill and left strut down driver sill. that's if there is an existing grommet in the firewall near the ABS module) 3) 1/4 or 3/8 air line? 4) you may not be able to answer this but do you happen to know if the manifold can fill up 2 bags if only 2 are connected and not all 4? i only have jack stands and feel safer working on one end at a time. example, install the rear suspension first, air up the bags drop the car, and install the front suspension last, air up the bags and drop the car, or will the manifold only function if all 4 lines are connected to bags? Thanks for your answers and all the helpful videos you put out for the MQB platform. PS: I had no clue you are in FL. I am moving to Sarasota in a week and a half!
Hi there, pretty nice installation! I also have a 7.5 R and just bought this same airlift kit minus the height sensors.. I was wondering what you had to do with the DCC system? Do you have DCC cancelers? Does it affect acc calibration when lowering out? Are there any dashboard lights or warnings related to this? Thanks in advance. Also, I'm waiting for part 2. Keep up the good work !🫡
is part 2 ever coming out? lol. did u get the pillow balls replaced? my left strut started making noise the other day but went away. if it starts happening again airlift performance is gonna have a problem on their hands :)
The headlight level sensor?? Im about to bag my MK7 R and I don’t know what to do with the headlight sensor on the rear arm. Do you just hook it back up and it works ok?
I don’t think so, actually. I didn’t weigh anything…but obviously the most heavy add on is the air compressor, and next would be the manifold. But.. the air bags are lighter that the previous coil springs… so maybe some of it balances out. I am sure it was a little of a weight adder, but not a ton.
Did you get both of your strut pillow ball bearings replaced? I just did both of mine and the CJM strut cut outs while I had both struts out. The front is nice and quiet again. Let’s see how long these last🤞🤞🤞
@@EVERYTHINGcpo Good luck. Hopefully you'll be able to get part 2 out soon. If these only last 1500 miles like the last ones, Airlift and I are gonna have a big problem. lol.
@@EVERYTHINGcpo love your content would love your opinion on upgrading to the mk8 PCV, some guys doing deeper dives on this might be better that the APR setup. Not if you have been following any of this. 👍👍
Better than it did before! Besides the ability to lift as needed, the ride height ride is way nicer. Softer… less jarring. My friend who went on the test ride with me said he noticed it instantly, and my wife, who will never lie to me to preserve my feelings said it felt noticeably smoother to her.
I’ve been using OhSnap lately and they have that little auto mount. But the pro clip was getting hit by my passengers’ leg too much, so that’s why I moved it inboard a bit with the Ohsnap mount.
@@EVERYTHINGcpo I am having the same passenger issue, but I am 90% of time with no passengers so I can live with it. I previously had a Scosche mount glued to the AC Trim put the pressure cracked the AC passenger temp display!
Although… I love these Tracklites… so I may put daily tires on these for a while. I’m also thinking of going to 17s for daily and keeping 18s for track.
VERY soon! I apologize. I have been wanting to drive it around and understand it better (and make sure I was happy with the install). I have been prepping for the PART TWO video... and I hope that you will see it posted in the next few days.
Can’t wait. I’m having an issue where after about 1500 miles the right front strut bag is making an audible sound when turning the wheel left of right. I have yet to contact Airlift support. Had it in the shop yesterday trying to figure out what it was with the mechanic. Also having some minor issues with ride quality.
Turns out I have a faulty pillow ball bearing. I opened a case with Airlift and they’re sending out a new one under warranty. I need to remove both struts anyways, to replace the locking rings (damaged trying to loosen from the factory), and do the CJM top cutouts for camber plate access. I’m curious where you ran your rear air line hose.
@@bcshay I’m having pillowball bearing issues myself, I think, which has been part of the delay on the video. I wanted to see if I could figure that out to make it in the video. I have creaking from both sides.
@@bcshay my rears are just ran right down into the control arms on each side coming out of the hatch floor. I did wrap them in wiring loom to protect them and zip tied them to keep them from getting caught in the pivot point.
I absolutely love the tank mounting solution and the creative thinking on the quick connect for the air hose! Great job on the install!

How much higher can you ride if needed like on gravel road or bump compare to stock height ?
Hows the ride quality compared to coilovers or springs ?

Some sick shit man, as always from this channel.👍 Did it add weight to your vehicle?

Any updates on the height sensors?
Would love to see how you mounted/routed them
I have not installed the height sensors yet.

I literally just got the replacement bearings Friday. I hope to get them installed soon. Good to hear it might work... for a minute at least! ;-)

Did you get new wheels? Or those are not the hyper grams?
I am running Track Lite at the moment.

It looks good but trust me if u get puncher u will regret it 😂😂😂
Doesn’t air out much for you
Not with 255s! I can set it on the ground with 245s though. 10mm tire width makes a big difference on fender clearance.
That's a pretty intense undertaking. Good looking install though. Congrats.
