I sang it when I was 12 years old for our Easter Sunrise Service. This past year I got back into living right for the Lord and on our Tuesday night Bible study. Brother Ron told us the importance of taking in the knowledge then using it in our own lives to begin to build our solid foundation. This song came to mind. I just had to hear it. I am now 42 years old. And it is just is powerful now as it was back then. I asked God to plz restore my voice so that I can now share this message with my church as a new baby in Christ Jesus.

J Cook - I realize that this is 4 years later, but I thought you might like to know there are some churches that do not applaud performances. They are considered offerings to the Lord. So it would be considered bad taste to offer a standing ovation. Since this performance was taped, it could’ve been something that they were asked not to do because of recording, I don’t know for sure but just thought I would offer that to you because I understand where you’re coming from. Sandi’s voice is the best voice I’ve ever heard.

I was a volunteer and she came and Thanked each of us personally, signed CD's for us which she gave us for volunteering as well as a Christmas book she wrote. She signed that too. She Gave a Stellar 2 1/2 hour straight performance! She truly is a Gift from God!

People used to step out on the stage on 'flat footed' SING!! This type of song is so challenging (background vocals too) but it is done with such heart, skill, and excellence that they make it look and sound easy. But it is not! I miss these days, where the vocal ability of an artist is what made them stand out. No gimmicks…and obviously Sandi has the touch of God on her voice, but I just wanted to address the musical aspect :)

She does something similar on "How Great Thou Art" where she just reaches out of nowhere and nails a Db6.
I think the flip right there to a belt was even more impressive. Shows how incredibly high her voice is. Absolutely a true sopranino.

I first saw her when she opened for the Imperials. We thought, who in the world is "Sandi Patty?" After the whole concert I'd say she blew the Imperials out of the water. I still remember her playing with the audience singing like Karen Carpenter, Barbera Striestand...etc.

I think that Sandi is the one. She was 30 years ago and still the one today. Amazing voice, heavenly range and a humble attitude. Beautiful. The only thing that I don't like about this video is that I was'nt there... Keep singing for the glory of our Lord!
