Absolutely a beautiful duet from Larnelle and Sandi. This song brought tears to my eyes: I can feel the love of Jesus and His healing power when listening to this song. In 1989, when I gave my life to Jesus as a teenager, Larnelle and Sandi's music impacted my life. Glory to the name of Jesus. Love and blessings from Cape Town, South Africa.
For 30 years Sandi has been my inspiration. I have sang her songs again and again. More Than Wonderful makes me cry every time. There is so much Power in the song it can't be contained. During a very difficult time in our lives, the Lord gave me the joy of being a "morning guy" on WXIR, then a Christian music station in Indianapolis. We often played tracks from Sandi Patty. Her music still reaches deep into my heart. (She was originally from Indiana and attended Anderson College, I believe.)

I lost both my parents to suicide when I was a young boy, and as a young 9 year old I would listen to the soothing voice of Sandi Patty (her music was so comforting and gentle, like a mother) ... I listened to her music all through Jr High and High School.. well, by chance in the 1980's I was at the Ohio State fair on a sky lift and I heard Sandi's voice! I nearly jumped off the sky lift and ran into the crowd in attendance which was well into the hundreds if not thousands of people and her and Larnelle Harris began singing this song and after singing it, and out of all those people in attendance, Sandi pointed at me, this young kid and asked me to come forward to the side of the stage and told me that she can see God's presence all over me, she even let me hold one of her kids.. That was a moment in time I will never forget. She had no idea, that her music was the very thing God used to give me hope. Even after all these years, her music inspires me and fills me with peace. I can't wait to meet her again, if not in this life, in the next and I want to share with Sandi Patty my story and how thankful I am for her. POWERFUL. Thank You Lord, for giving us such wonderful talent and filling them with your Spirit.

I used to love this song for the wonderful job that Sandy & Larnelle did singing it, but now, I love this song because I've learned to stand on God's promises & found that he is so much more than he promised! God is more wonderful than word can ever explain!!!
Excellent revelation ... you loved it for the high performance standards originally and now you STILL love it for the way it sounds, but you've matured into fully recognizing that God's word and the promises contained therein are TRUE ... and you can STAND ON THOSE PROMISES and watch Him bless the works of your hands and work the miraculous in your life PRECISELY when you need it.

Only in the sense that he was not as well-known in the secular music world. In the Christian contemporary/inspirational he was highly-rated and popular in the 80’s and 90’s - even today for those who know of him. I had the opportunity to sing with him in a choir backing him in the 90’s and had the blessing of hanging out with him after a concert at Carnegie Hall. He is very genuine and a stellar artist who truly loves his Savior!
I am hard pressed to find a better duet song and pairing in Christian music...PERIOD!

I met Larnelle in a walgreens in Lexington KY and introduced myself to him. I was there to see Sandi and he perform a Christmas concert. He was gracious enough to stop his searching and converse with me for a couple of minutes. How many people avoid folk who don’t travel in their circles but just want praise to themselves. May God continue to keep these two master singers for God.

I was raised in church and in a christian home, I was in my early 20’s when I made a copy of this song on a 90 minute cassette back to back to give a full 45 minutes on each side. I would turn the cassette tape on in my private prayer time in my bedroom and I would have a glorious time in the sweet presence of The Lord for at least 2 hours! That’s been over 30 years ago and I can still say those sweet and precious times of prayer with this anointed song and singers ( Sandy Patti and Larnelle Harris) were the foundation of which my prayer life began. God bless these two wonderful gifts to the Body of Christ and to the world for God’s divine glory.🙏🏽❤️❤️❤️

It seems like yesterday, but it was in 1973. We were living in New Port News, VA. (military) My husband and I had just been saved by the grace of God. Our neighbors had prayed for our salvation for a year! The four of us went to see the Gaithers at a church in the area. About 1/2 way through the concert, this very young woman stepped forward and began singing (and signing!) 'More than Wonderful'! This VOICE! The PRAISE! Every man woman and child was on their feet simultaneously, hands raised, praising God (now, speaking for myself ...) crying tears of JOY! This incredibly gifted woman ushered all of us into the very presence of our LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ!

I met Larnelle Harris when I was going to church at Maple Grove Baptist in Louisville. My youngest sister had his wife as school teacher. They're very sweet people.

One of the most beautiful songs ever sung. You can see the joy of The Holy Spirit in Sandi's eyes. She is obviously more than happy to praise God using the tremendous talent he has blessed her with. If this performance doesn't send a chill down your spine, you're not listening. More Than Wonderful is right. I would have named this song: "Absolutely Outstandingly Beautiful".

I was a little kid when this was a hit. I remember when we went to pick up the vinyl after hearing it on the radio. "Sandi Patti Live" in Oklahoma. I wanted to be Larnelle so bad.LOL I could sing Sandi's high parts too (back then) until life happened. All kidding aside, I felt the Anointing so string watching this video clip. I miss the days when our songs to God needed no bells or whistles. It was so pure back then and you knew that those who were singing weren't performing. It showed.

Was completely consumed by the performance...so emotional that I spent the day catching up on Sandi Patty and her accomplishments. Wow, a talent given by the grace of God and is returned through a ministry of Sandi's love of music. Wow.

I grew up listening to Sandi Patty, Larnelle Harris, Steve Green, Twila Paris, Steve Amerson, the Heritage Singers, Maranatha Singers, the King's Heralds, the Cathedrals, Wintley Phipps... this song always seemed to be on the Sabbath mixed tape & CD. Now in my own home it's on my very own Sabbath playlist. Thanks, Mrs. Sandi Patty and Mr. Larnelle Harris for being a part of the soundtrack to my family's lives.

This brings back so many memories! My mother played the piano for both Sandi and Larnelle. Larnelle Harris started in a group called the Spurlows. Way back in the early 60’s. Both my parents were in the group. Spur always did recognize great talent!
