I visited Israel in 2000, and for six months after returning home, I could not listen to this song without crying like a baby. It did a job on my make-up for sure! Here it is 2024, and it still affects me the exact same way! My life has changed drastically over this 24 yr period, but I still see Jesus every single day like when I was in Israel. When their voices stack a harmony a third or perfect fifth on each other on a straight tone, there is a warping vibration that bends the sound causing something like a rift to open into another dimension.
What they are doing here goes beyond great singing. They are literally destroying powers of darkness and giving access to the Holy Spirit to come in and break every chain.
ABSOLUTELY NO ONE DOES a better job on this than Sandi and Larnelle.
I saw Jesus many years ago in a near death experience. He was beyond beautiful & spoke to me, saying "Go back your mother needs you~" I know heaven is wonderful. I trust in Jesus. He walks beside me & carries me when its too much to bear. Praise the Lord God for the salvation through HIS son. By GRACE we live eternally.

It really is true - Take care of your voice, your voice will take care of you!
Something that REALLY stuck out/further impressed me here is Larnelles' breath support, precision in pitch, ease, clarity, resonance, power, perfect placement, use of vibrato and straight tone all within the final two notes of this performance on "Je - sus".
Notice how Larnelle sings "Je -" with an instant onset of vibrato and power (difficult vowel to execute when using upper chest voice or mixed voice, especially when sustaining a note WITH vibrato!!), then takes NO breath at all, sustains the final note ("sus") using straight tone allowing resonance to cut through beautifully, maintaining support and power, an open throat placement with no pitch issues AFTER a difficult transition from the previous "E" vowel, onsets vibrato again at the perfect time to punctuate that last note with class - Utter ear candy! This man is in complete command of his instrument and he gives all his thanks to his faith and doesn't idolise himself which is so refreshing and inspiring. Take care of your voice, your voice will take care of you!
Whether you follow a religion or not, you can't deny the feeling of faith/spirit that this testimony brings and the passion and complete devotion both Sandi and Larnelle have for theirs!

And describing each detail of Larnell's voice. Since I was a little girl, I always wanted to sing opera. I took lessons but I did not believe in my own voice. My teacher always said that my voice was unique and that she wouldn't take the time to train me if she didn't believe I could sing. Thank God for the talents that he gives us. You have a great talent, your ears and your mind have wonderfully described what you have heard. God bless you and I pray that you will become an earnest believer in the power of our Heavenly Father who raised Jesus from the dead.
Yes I saw that too with both of them. Having taken voice and choir in school, I watch for that as well. Yes these two are gifted. But they've trained their gift to excellence. Praise God.

I believe my loved ones who have entered the gates shout this, and on earth I refer to this song when I think why parts of my life, seem so bad...The eye opener for me in the song refers to Jesus asking us "why the tears?". Then as I reflect and REALLY SEE my own life, the outcomes, the times Ive said "we were lucky', blessings after the turmoil, confirms theres no reason now for tears. How pure are both their voices. How effortlessly that they go in and out up and down of the melody. Sandy with her high saprono voice is goosebumps but then Larnell brings his falsetto into the song.

To me he has the best voice of his generation and Sandi for her voice as well. It would have been great for them to have done a complete album. I heard them in person about 2 years ago. It was incredible even at their ages. although their voices are not at the level as sung in this video they can pretty much hold their own. And why in their 60s now? Because they sing for God. This much as stood the test of time and will throughout eternity. God bless them both for staying the course.
