I don't think i ever saw animation for units in any of the total war games from warhammer onwards. There are unique animations for "special" units but I have actually never seen common units juke it out. I might be wrong.

The mods „Bloody Battles (Animations Mod) UPDATED ANCESTRAL“ and „cinematic kills overhaul“ will literally change your view on the game. You can also look for other mods when typing in „animations“ but these two combined will result in the best experience, you really should try them out.
