@@regiliok To be fair though MC is the demon king so the elf seeing him as he is and the sprits avoiding him would normally mean he is a truly evil person but in this world just being the DK doesnt mean your personality changes so he remains as he was even before reincarnation. So in a way the prince also isn't wrong for trying to free her from what does seem like a evil person.
@@GalironRunner Well technically the spirits avoid him for a different reason. Not because he's a potential demon king. But for another reason, i think because of that other summoned familiar or it's because of his type of magic. I'm not quite sure, because it's been awhile since i read the manga.

This is the most frustrating part of the anime with the prince trying to force Efa to join his harem. Yes Efa is a slave owned by Seika's family but she is well treated and was allowed to go with him to school where she excels all on her own, Seika treats her as more like a little sister than a slave (even though she's a year older than him). Regardless should be her own choice what she wants to do and this jackass prince figures "well, she'll be grateful later". Seika IS dangerous when he's angry and forcibly taking her away against her will is not advisable.
If they had succeed, then the country would have been erased and even if the Prince free efa, that doesnt mean that she would stay with the prince
If memory serves the prince gets to experience proper scolding when Seika learns about it no? It is less violent and more victory via good debating skillset that makes the prince keep questioning himself (though if memory also serves he tries to make it okay in his mind his actions constantly).

I hated that elf for forcing Efa to sign that contract.
Kinda wish Seika showed them more of his power (Darker I mean) to scare them enough never to mess with him again. (With a little bit of trauma into them)
i kinda miss the part.. where seika goes full overlord mode and turns that kingdom into a wasteland :( would have been so much fun seeing theyr faces full of fear and panic

Most Isekai MCs are pushovers, or goody-two-shoes who are like "No! Taking lives is wrong!" but FINALLY do it when their friends get offed.
This MC already knows he's going to use his powers like that if anyone stands in his way, AND, he almost seems to get a kick out of it towards his enemies. Which is understandable and I personally approve of.
I hate the cliche where someone who's evil is stopped from being offed by a party member personally victimized by them because "don't sink down to his level" or "you're better than that" when the bad guy is obviously unapologetic and has already been the cause of death to dozens of innocent civilian people, NOT soldiers or fighters.
Like in Raising Of A Shield Hero when Shield Hero stops his slave (for got her name) from off'ing the slave trader who's offed so many of her kind, offed the parents, offed kids, treats the slaves lower than garbage... And Shield Hero stops her! Because "it's not going to bring them back" or some crap like that.
SO WHAT! He has ZERO right to stop her. Bet you if someone offed her the Shield Hero would end them, or is he going to tell himself "don't sink down to their level"?
The bad guy absolutely deserves off'ing and, yeah, it WOULD make her feel better! She deserves to end the life of trash that thinks of her kind, KIDS mind you, as disposable.

There's a lot of dumb arrogant characters in anime, especially isekai, but this is definitely up there. They openly recognize him as a threat and call him a monster but has zero hesitation stealing and pissing him off...

Is there context I'm missing? Because that elf cut her finger open to force a slavery contract on her. And then they're talking like that never happened?
There's a bunch cut between the contract and Efa + other elf girl talking. I can't quite remember how much but iirc it's a solid like 3 mins in the anime and like half a day if not longer in the world they are in. Afaik, nothing happens to the prince other than being wholeheartedly rejected by Efa, Seika telling him she's free to do what she wants even if it means staying his slave and him saying the same thing to Efa and her willingly staying with Seika. Take that with a grain of salt tho since I haven't watched this episode since release, just going off what I can vaguely remember.
Its more like they just did a cut not like massive, but they did force upon her to sign, and its more of a slave void contract.
It's a contract to free her for which her blood is needed. Also the elf woman just wanted the best for Efa but was blinded by her opinion of spirits and never tried to see Seika for who he really is.

The cut was to force her slave contract to break, but yeah they are literally glossing over the fact that these people made it clear that they were forcing her to break her contract just like she was forced to make it in the first place. Forcing a decision that she doesn't want to make, just like slavery.

It felt like that elf was forcefully selling the girl to be a sex slave somewhere, why did it show as if she had any right to say anything else in the end but chose to gracefully allow the girl to do what she wants? Is this context or is the anime badly written?
Technically it was a slave release contract but the way the merchant worded it definitely made it sound like a different slave contract
I also would give a trailer full of TNT a wide berth. That is not to say TNT is in itself evil; you need it to change the world on a reasonable timescale such as when you need to demolish a building to make way for new growth. But I'm not going to schedule any school picnics next to it.

Seika's momma was a demon, his dad was the brother of the dude who raised him. Seika's dad died in combat. After giving birth, she realized Seika was the next demon king and took him to the uncle's estate to save him from that life. Pretty sure his mom was mortally wounded when she made it to the estate and died.

More like in the Manga Seika is aware is he mentally a LOT older than her so he "tries" to see her as one. emphasis on the "tries" as sometimes he slips up.

I like romance but i like good character developed mc better. So, when a spot in the storyline is about the 'girl' and the mc is just trying to live his life (even when the girl is fine and not abuse) why does the line "She can live her life and love anyone she likes but the respond of such target affection is not my problem" not included? That's why Shadow garden is so good. Today story artists are just labelling single-route romance as harem anime or non-romance mc focus to cringe romance. This scene to me looks forced, can't she saved herself for once?

Eh this anime started off with drama, and betrayal is an occuring theme here. The strongest exorcist were betrayed by his own people, a human teacher betrayed humanity, this POS of a prince betrayed his expectation, and the very kingdom they're living in betrayed Amu
It's almost as if the world wants him to establish a new society
