a piece from from the manga, this is the demon leader dude speaking: I know that Mdelev(the red oni) has constantly worried about his wife and child that he left behind at his hometown, that even when he is attacking the humans, he overlooks parents and their children. That the seemingly cruel Ro Ni treats his monsters with love and care, that when a monster dies, he buries it himself and stands by the grave for a long time. That the amount of time Pilislaila can stay awake is getting shorter and is likely because of the burden of the evil eye, that she pretends that nothing is wrong to keep the others from noticing. That Garl Ganis doesnt actually want something like revenge for his brother, that he just wants to live up to the expectations of his late brother's ''black'' colleagues. Defeating the hero is the demon's race earnest desire... we will defeat the hero and we will go home together...
Like a certain character in a movie said "You are bad guy, but that does not mean that you are bad guy". That said, I don't really feel that sympathetic for these demons. They're justifying it with the whole 'It's nothing personal, it's just business' approach. So if they died, then they should know 'it comes with the job', right?

He's so surprised, because as time went on. Hero's and Demon Kings were getting weaker and weaker. Then while going for the weakest hero, the strongest Demon Lord of all time shows up, and had flown completely under the radar.
Am I the only one that thinks Seika could have done more poems? I just liked every single time he said them especially with the first demon and in this fight.
i think his poems were like adding salt or spices to a dish. they probably added just enough to make it tasty, but if they added too much it would ruin the dish.
This scene reminds me of Sebas from Overlord. In either the LN or WN (I don't read), there was an entire page dedicated to each of the 6 Arms, only to be immediately followed by a paragraph detailing how Sebas killed them.
Blud really think the snake is living being. Ayakashii, mononoke, or yokai is basically ghost with physical forms. They are form of spirits, not living beasts or monster like kraken or jormundgandr. Some are not even its own creature. Just manifestation of certain emotion or energy
@@ThePinkRubber If you can correlate snakes in folklore They'd be envy or greed, since snakes tend to slither their way into someone and strike them when they least expect it But Seika's snake is probably hatred with its eyes sewn shut, probably the eyes were gouged out as it was too dangerous
@@venomark7883 I seem to recall a Japanese apparition that was a white snake that could kill with a glance. If this is that snake, then Seika probably gouged out its eyes to keep it from killing everyone that met its gaze.
I was about to bring up a game, coincidentally titled "Overlord", in which the MC is a villain seeking to maintain justice in an unjust world which forces them to become the ruler of Hell.
I love the different perspective. It goes to show no one is really evil, the demons have a goal they think is just and same as the humans. Humans waited for the hero to save them and guide them while the demons and beastfolk wait for the demon king to save them and guide them. They have their rights and wrongs, we have ours. Makes war or any fight a grey area.
I kind of feel bad for the demons, after all, The Reason why they are going after the hero is to protect the Devil King who is supposed to be their ruler. Only to find out that their reincarnated leader is the Hero's best friend....................... Its not their fault, nobody ever told them!
Yeah, remember when the first time demon try to attack the magic school after new students registered? That one goat-demon said something like find & kill that hero, our demon lord will revive just little bit more
That's not the reason at all. They want to prevent a war. Both Humans and Demons work to assassinate the hero and demon king before the come to power so they can prevent war from breaking out. When the hero and demon king are reborn, everything gets thrown into chaos, so to prevent that, both sides try to kill the hero and demon king in order to keep the status quo. The reason the kingdom tries to pin the death of these demons on the hero is so they can get rid of her before she becomes the hero.
Now u see this is a classic anime on its own instead of hero vs demon demon protecting hero and making her stronger they better make a second season or second half this or next year
The demons here are not really "evil" per say, they're actually trying to stop the endless cycle of reincarnation between the hero and demon king, to stop the conflict between the two races But as their leader said the prophecy came true in the worst way possible, the demon king sided with the hero
They're not evil though ? The anime even went out of its way to portray them much like they would have a heroic human party on its way to assassinate the Demon Lord. They want to kill the Hero so that she doesn't trigger a war between humankind and demonkind, it's not righteous, but they're fighting for peace. Humans also want to kill the Hero for the very same reason. That's why this anime is much better than it seems, there is an actual plot, and a good one at that.
@@Phantasmagorique If they were each like "aight you get your side's hero/demon king under wraps and we'll get ours" Id be more understanding of that. Oh and also, he apparently can't die, if you watched the second episode you would know that he has some special talismans that prevent him from death.... truly a terrifying protagonist
Now imagine this, if his uncle did send him to the battlefield then his though that the boy would turn evil will be true since 1. He didnt have amu to cover his existence and 2. The people he will likely meet there would either use him or kill him so hes gonna use retaliate
Right? Like if it wasn't for them killing and eating humans they would absolutely be the MC's of their own anime, with their dreams of their futures and hoping the best for one another. They could easily be the good guys. It also adds character to them so they're not just "let's kill them because reasons!" in a story. I loved that part. I honestly really like this series and I hope there's a S2.
That's the thing about fights like this, the lines get blurred pretty quickly when both sides lose loved ones. Eventually it's just senseless violence.
Yeah well the thing is both sides neither want the hero OR the demon king. Those two beings are sure to bring about a great war involving the two races so it's no wonder both sides want to erase them. But why do they think they can defeat the entity literally called their king I do not know lmao.
@HS cus the actual Demon King isn't as powerful as Seika, Seika not only has the demon lord skills he inherited from his half-blood status but also all his old broken skills from his past life, basically with time Seika can and will most def become the most powerful even the hero won't be anything. It's why the demon called him the most terrible, one look at his status screen was enough to show Seika is a monster
It’s an entertaining show. I give it a 6.8/10. one critic that stands out the most, I have towards the show is that the mc pretty much never really cared to hide his abilities anyways. Or stoped caring pretty soon for no apparent reason after he met the hero. I mean they knew each other one min and he would already use tons of paper thingies . He even tamed a dragon… to flex on everyone. Like what about not being in the spotlight… hello? Esp towards the end he didn’t give any fks. Never did he actually use the hero to cover for him… it was always him helping the hero.
The princess that can see the future said that helping people was in his nature; and that he wasn't able to fight against it, even tho he knew that it will end up costing his life. Meaning he tried to follow his idea but it was too against his nature and so he always ended up going the opposite way of what he was supposed to, in order to help people
Well u know how when he met the hero he said that she looked the sane as his past disciple who had to kill him bcuz other kids were held hostage, she reminds him of that girl and that probably played a big role in his decision of saving her. And as for using her as cover, she is not strong yet to be used for anything and the princess also says that to him that what you want from the hero wil never happen so he just thought fuck all y'all Imma kill and resurrect some mobs just for fun
@@HenryNWhite-zp5zp its not about them. it's about the amount he uses and does ridiculous stuff people would hunt him for if they see him. for instance, summoning weird monsters. he just takes a lot of needles risks for someone who tries to be egoistic. well he isn't though but he tried and failed faster than I can blink
Well In his previous life he was the strongest onmyouji so when he reincarnated to this world with everything I think its equal to what they say that he is a demon king itself. Probably in this world Demon King title is equal to his previous life.
Yes and no. In his last life he was an Onmyouji. But in this new life he technically not an Onmyouji but he retain the all of his powers and abilities. However when he reincarnated, he became this generation Demon King. The Demon calls him The Most Terrible Demon King because he is friends and allies with the hero, Amyu. Or you can also interpret it as a Demon King who sided with the humans.
First of all, those two are really unrelated.... It's like asking whether someone both a cashier and a soccer player... He is an exorcist in his previous life, that's his job and his techniques are usable in his current life, I only read this in other comments but think of demon king as his title not job, his race is half demon and it's apparently because he's too strong, he's unable to reincarnated normally because other life form can't become his vessel so that's why his soul was transferred and reincarnated into the demon kings body that's strong enough as vessel, apparently he doesn't know that he's the demon king though.
He can become demon king itself. But he sided with human make him terrible demon king Imagine your allies which you gave trust, become your enemy that is terrible.

I kinda fail to understand how killing the hero is supposed to be the only answer to the whole 'we don't want war' issue. I watched part of the last episode, and they said that both sides (humans and demons) are armed and ready to fight if they need to, but allegedly neither side WANTS to fight. I mean, they wqnted to kill an innocent kid just because that kid was the child of prophecy. I dont blame the mc for being merciless on someone actively trying to murder an innocent child. Also it is good to keep in mind that mc doesnt necesarily know wether their intentions are pure or not. Instead of trying to stop a war it could be that they are simply trying to serve and protect their king (even if they dont know who that is yet). This is obvious in that guys reaction "its the worst case scenario". He didnt care about stopping a war between demons and humans because if he did he wouldve been happy that the hero and demon king would actually be able to get along. The guy just wanted a victory. He didnt even offer to serve mc after seeing he is the demon king even tough that SHOULD have been the obvious choice there. a piece from from the manga, this is the demon leader dude speaking:
I know that Mdelev(the red oni) has constantly worried about his wife and child that he left behind at his hometown, that even when he is attacking the humans, he overlooks parents and their children.
Demons: "We carry great sins on our backs and seek forgiveness, our mission is to-"
Seika- "don't care, die."
I don't feel anything for them. They reap what they sow.
@@kodi6197 they reaped far more than expected.
@@kodi6197 if the heroes who also had the same backstory and same experiences were defeated by someone with ease and slaughtered like flies then it's a different story. Even demons can be good and humans can be evil (in anime), also in war there is no such thing as good and evil there is only a perspective of the each side looking at their enemies as the evil while they are the good.
"and nobody can beat us"... MC proceeds to wipe the floor with them...lol
I loved the poems too
i think his poems were like adding salt or spices to a dish. they probably added just enough to make it tasty, but if they added too much it would ruin the dish.
Same. Maybe not to much to wear it out but they were definitely a treat to listen to.
That's because in the novel he says he is embarrassed to say poems
Bunny: Howdy do I love you.☺️
Snake: MMM... RABBIT.😋
Bunny:AAAAAHHHHHH!!!
Nom
It would seem the snake loved the rabbit a bit too much
if u wanna see a "I feel for the enemy and am scared if the MC" moment, it's definitely Overlord
This scene reminds me of Sebas from Overlord.
In either the LN or WN (I don't read), there was an entire page dedicated to each of the 6 Arms, only to be immediately followed by a paragraph detailing how Sebas killed them.
2:53 White Snake: Well Hello, Welcome to my mouth!
"Enter my mouth, children! Enter your destiny! RAAAHH!" - Gravity Falls
Friend=lunch
Blud really think the snake is living being. Ayakashii, mononoke, or yokai is basically ghost with physical forms. They are form of spirits, not living beasts or monster like kraken or jormundgandr. Some are not even its own creature. Just manifestation of certain emotion or energy
@@ThePinkRubber
If you can correlate snakes in folklore
They'd be envy or greed, since snakes tend to slither their way into someone and strike them when they least expect it
But Seika's snake is probably hatred with its eyes sewn shut, probably the eyes were gouged out as it was too dangerous
@@venomark7883 I seem to recall a Japanese apparition that was a white snake that could kill with a glance. If this is that snake, then Seika probably gouged out its eyes to keep it from killing everyone that met its gaze.
i think cid would agree that seika's presentation is excellent
Rabbit : Let's be friends 😊
White snake : food 😋
Seika basically went all Ainz on them: Toying with then brutally ENDING them while barely lifting a finger and talking like a Big Bad.
I was about to bring up a game, coincidentally titled "Overlord", in which the MC is a villain seeking to maintain justice in an unjust world which forces them to become the ruler of Hell.
3:24 it's just me or Seika's status just looks like rock metal cover CD to me😂
It is very striking.
So basically Clayman lost again to a Demon Lord 😂😂😂😂
😂😂 slime lol
At least he's moving up in the world, and was a human and not a slime he died to this time around...
at least it ain't a slime this time but yeah just as one sided
When I first heard Clayman's voice, my first thought was Roswaal from Re:Zero
And not Dio? lol?
I kind of feel bad for the demons, after all, The Reason why they are going after the hero is to protect the Devil King who is supposed to be their ruler. Only to find out that their reincarnated leader is the Hero's best friend....................... Its not their fault, nobody ever told them!
Yeah, remember when the first time demon try to attack the magic school after new students registered? That one goat-demon said something like find & kill that hero, our demon lord will revive just little bit more
But they still bad guys lol, they tried to kill anyone on their sight
U don't give a forgive to someone who tried to kill you
After what they did to a lot of people, they deserved all of it.
Even the power of friendship cant save them xD
Seika is a complete badass. I seriously can't wait for season 2.
How you know your screwed when the protagonist starts reading you poetry!
Bro, if there was ever a sign you're in too deep and you need to run this second, it's that . 😅
Cid moment
This was a really good twist. I felt that demon's utter shock and fear.
Now u see this is a classic anime on its own instead of hero vs demon
demon protecting hero and making her stronger they better make a second season or second half this or next year
When you face the last boss in the beginner area😂
I loved how he took down those evil clowns lmao
The demons here are not really "evil" per say, they're actually trying to stop the endless cycle of reincarnation between the hero and demon king, to stop the conflict between the two races
But as their leader said the prophecy came true in the worst way possible, the demon king sided with the hero
But the demon side trying to brutally murder a child ?

Lowkey feel bad for the red guy. Bro just wanted a worthy fight
Yeah well, fuck that guy he ate a bunch of defenseless people.
I mean, he sure got what he wanted. An opponent so worthy it blew his head clean of in 0.1 seconds 😂
As soon as we saw the demon party getting more than zero exposition we knew they would die really, really fast.
The people he will likely meet there would either use him or kill him so hes gonna use retaliate

love how the white snake checked the black snake for invading personal space like "uhm excuse me"

Seika Has To Be One Of The Best Characters And The Most Strongest Characters

The Most Bravest Characters

I wanted to know how everyone would react if they knew Seika was the demon king later, he didn't even know that himself.

To show how strong he is.

I couldn’t help but feel sorry for the demons. They all seemed like friends and had families of their own only to get killed so easily.
How is it justice when they attacked the humans first?
That's the thing about fights like this, the lines get blurred pretty quickly when both sides lose loved ones. Eventually it's just senseless violence.
Thats the thing about justice, its simply an ideal and ideal are whatever a person want it to be
They later explain that by killing the hero they can stop a war
You know someone is OP when they hit a opponent and go "oh he died" like they were only intending to bruise them up a bit
Part of me wishes we could've seen him go full force, but the best we saw was him using a quick kill summon and an intense fire spell
I love the scene. Plot twist, the slaughter, the music... perfect. But these cuts.... they don't ruin the scene completely, but the flow/rythm.
The dude is giving of strong shadow vibes xD
About the paper things, I think he just generally makes it invisible
@@HenryNWhite-zp5zp its not about them. it's about the amount he uses and does ridiculous stuff people would hunt him for if they see him. for instance, summoning weird monsters. he just takes a lot of needles risks for someone who tries to be egoistic. well he isn't though but he tried and failed faster than I can blink
As for amount he been making them ever since he was young so i think he should have over 10thousand stock
I swear man i thought that the rabbit kid is going die first cuz he was the one that exciting about killing academy students first 😂😂
When i see their confidence that they thought they can beat saika 🤣🤣
Seika is suitable for an antagonist
In the world of magic, do not underestimated a witchcraft.
A bit at lost here. Seika is an Onmyouji, but why they called Seika 'Demon King'? Aren't Onmyouji and Demon archnenemy?
But he sided with human make him terrible demon king
Imagine your allies which you gave trust, become your enemy that is terrible.

To be fair both sides, demon and human doesn’t want war because they don’t want to waste resources and the lives of their kind for such a stupid war. Which is why they don’t want the hero and the demon king to exist.
I kinda fail to understand how killing the hero is supposed to be the only answer to the whole 'we don't want war' issue.
I watched part of the last episode, and they said that both sides (humans and demons) are armed and ready to fight if they need to, but allegedly neither side WANTS to fight.
Soooo, exactly WHAT keeps them from maybe just forming some kind of treaty or agreement to NOT cause war with each other?
@@ShadowPersona360 Because when the demon king and the hero is born the demon king will always try to conquer the world and the hero will always be there to stop it. Basically they are programmed to do this repeatedly. So if one doesn’t exist then the other basically is programmed to do nothing. It’s like fate basically. When there’s demon king and a hero, they will always fight. So killing hero means no war
@@ShadowPersona360 maybe there are some faction that wanted war just as there are a faction who wanted to avoid war.
@@ShadowPersona360It’s basically like a fate thing, when there is a hero and demon king, both will eventually fight each other and go to war.

Untrue. If they knew that he was the devil king, they would try to kill him by the logic of the last episode. Just like the hero he could spark a war.
@@Lecd63 Yeah, the Demon King being around is just as problematic as the Hero for either side. Politics don't need either side to have a tactical nuke to destabilize the sensitive balance they have currently.
Doesn't help that Seika himself is just beyond OP for the common sense of this world. Even if Seika wasn't friends with Amyu, allowing Amyu to actually grow into her role as the Hero, the humans, and Amyu, would likely still get crushed by Seika on his own.
In in the novel, you can see his and the demon stats, they are strong and if i remember correctly, their magic and mana, it should still be below 100k. While Seika has no magic, his Arts still use some sort of capacity like mana and that stat was over 3 mio, every Art was maxxed out. This is where the manga lost me. The MC is clearly a villain here. Yes they came to kill people, but he had everyone safe, clearly held them at bay, there was no chance of them escaping, but didn't try to talk to then, didn't use reason. He just mercilessly killed people who probably were doing what they thought was right.
Damn. Someone apparently replied to me but immediately deleted their comment. Probably since everything they said was refuted in my first comment, lol.
Bottom line, mc did it right, but the line between right and wrong does get blurrier (and thats the point as he is supposed to end as the villain)
