Honestly, if this anime whole premise is all about the MC helping the dragon girl on how to be a human adventurer, then I would have like this show a lot.

Was he supposed to be hunting the dragon, but instead helped fake her death and hiding her in plain sight? Are dragons and humans at war? How will the Adventurers Guild and Kingdom react to a dragon in disguise if they found her out? How do other dragons feel about disguising as a human? 1Is there a romance angle here between the MC and the dragon, or perhaps the MC isn't the dragon's main LI, but is helping her to get close to her LI, another adventurer? Is there a corrupting madness affecting dragons, causing them to become feral engines of mass destruction that has to be overcome? Or just toss in the standard isekai plot...Is there a Demon King/Lord involved somehow? ...also, there is already an anime where the MC is helping a dragon girl fit in as a human...though not as an adventurer, but as a live-in maid. Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid...which is an awesome slice of life comedy that has the occassional balls-to-the-wall action fight scene that go waaaaaay harder than they have any right or need to, given the primary genre. Technically also a reverse-isekai, as the dragon(s) come from another world.

@@eon1014You're applying human mentality to someone decidedly not human. The idea that another species wonders why humans are struggling so much because their own absurd strength/power is the norm for them is a fairly common trope in fiction.
Remember, she always starts out an adventure with a bag almost 4-5 times her (human) size, filled bursting to the seams with food, yet it completely empties out way not even halfway to their objective. 😅
0:15 I remember laughing hard at this scene when I first saw it. This anime was so generic and boring that this scene surprised me so much. Iris is such a unique character. She stands out even compared to other animes in the same genre.

Yes it's back in the past, but Shikkakumon does not pick up where it leaves off as that one runs on a different premise..one where Gaius quickly gives up on the 1st crest and plans to reincarnate as many times as it would take to get the 4th crest. If Shikkakumon was a direct sequel, then Matty would have recruited Iris immediately into his party instead of using her as a high-speed transport for several missions.
I love her, too. I love her amazing dragon form in which she feels like a sort of a Pokemon - she looks cool, with big claws, teeth and strong scales; at same time a wrotter does not forget to show how cute Iris is as a dragon, giving her priceless facial expressions and adorable smiles. If I met Iris in a dragon form, I would hug her.
Even the novel is mind numbingly boring. I came for the plot, there is no plot. I also came for the interaction between the characters, its like conversation with Villager A(so generic). I came for the fights, its generic, no stake at all. Honestly, I dont get why it gets animated at all. Like, is the isekai genre really popular in Japan thay they chose this one instead of others? If thats really the case, maybe they should consider Korean manhwa/novel isekai, right? I really hope Solo Levelling gets really popular. Im not a fan of Solo Levelling because of its rushed ending and unexpected romance, but if it get enough support, we can probably get better content than this anime.
well there is a difference if someone is the bait it implies that they don’t care about their well being or if they die but being a diversion is more like they care about the person and if something should go wrong there would be a change of plan to rescue them
Remember when it was standard for anime characters to struggle and bleed for their victories, nowadays it's just random blank slate number 10,002 with godly powers who is never truly in the wrong with their decisions ever, and the only thing you can hope to get out of it is a mid anime girl with a cutesy voice to tide you over until the next one when you forget she even existed in the first place.
I do not wish to know what the repair bill spells out in terms of damages, but I guess whoever is going to pay for it, might look for a good doctor and a healty heart.
She does not care about other dragons. As MC explains in Chapter 74, the reason why Iris, a literal dragon became an adventurer is because she had never got along with other dragons. On other hand, she used to be friendly towards humans if cooperation benefited her (there was a cute scene of humans giving her tons of food in flashback and she was seating like a dog and smiling adorably in her lair).
People are afraid of Iris in her true form since she keeps her true form.in a secret. However, those who learn about Iris' true form don't find it weird (Iris is the only friendly non-human). Moreover, in Chapter 61 inhabitants of a certain town did nearly wkrship her for scaring off a tyrant mayor.

Dragon girls are the best. Velzard, Velgrynd, Milim, Tio, Tomoe, Tania, Tohru and her friends, Lastimoon and Hakuren, Laika and of course best girl of them all Patroshe.
I'm kinda sad, they made too different from the manga.... Don't get me wrong but the manga is more better speaking through a manga reader. Iris VA, did very well, capturing her personality. MC Va.... I would say, that he sound too childish, I was kinda hoping he sound more different then all anime I watch, Im not going lie I heard this Va too much...
Her dragon form is great, too. I love how a writter both shows Iris as a dragon being a cool killing machine, at same time a writter shows us that Iris as a dragon is the same Iris - by showing us how cute she can be as a dragon.
It's an OP chara resurrected story, in the same vein as Misfit of Demon Lord Academy and The Greatest Demon Lord Is Reborn as a Typical Nobody. This one is a little more lighthearted compared to the other two, where the first one is a little more gory while the other is a little more fanservicy.
I still prefer the Iris at *Senmetsumadou No Saikyou Kenja: Musai No Kenja, Madou Wo Kiwame Saikyou E Itaru* , I find her more cute there, while being scared at Gaius at the same time. lol
It would've been a much better show if the demon plot had been resolved by episode 5, and the rest spent on her being taught how to fit into human society because (insert your favourite reason here).
