- In this video I brake down all of the tools I believe are beneficial when you are early in your window cleaning business. There are plenty of additional tools you could add to your arsenal to be more efficient, but these will get you through nearly every situation you come across.

Thank you for another excellent video. I have been using the 14” ninja squeegee. I’ve been doing a little cleaning part time for a couple of years. Mind you, really just a few jobs a year, so I’m definitely a newbie. A few weeks ago I ordered the moreman 2.0 handle and the ettore brass channel. I hope that it will help me with fanning. I’ve had to resort to straight pulls, to avoid leaving lines, especially at the tip.
I also ordered the fishnet towels.
After having been furloughed for a couple of months I’m going back to my day job next week. I’m grateful for having had this time to take care of a bunch of stuff, including registering my window cleaning business and signing up for a sales tax account and learning something about book keeping.
I have given out 500 door hangers, so hopefully something might come out if that. It felt a little scary going around, even if I only got to talk to a handful of people. I want to thank you for saying something to me a while ago. You said “you got this”. That was so helpful. I kept telling myself that whenever I needed to encourage myself.
I’ve asked a couple of customers for google reviews, which I received. Got a job later in September at a really nice house that I got through a referral from a neighbor that I had cleaned for. Sorry for rambling

Thoughtful decisions and calculated actions will go a long way when mixed with patience. I always like to remind myself that there are many people who are "dumber than me" who have been more successful than I hope to be, so there's no reason why I can't get there eventually. When you stay consistent and keep your head looking up to heaven for help and guidance, there is no telling what all can come with time.

I’m based here in Australia as a window cleaner, and actually lived in TX (Huntsville) for a year during high school exchange back in the early 00’s. I very much want to make it back and thought I would have by now, so I need to make a trip back over 😄

I bought the Stevo starter kit. Im finding the brass ettore channel the easiest to use.
@@DanielCarrillo-t2c yes that’s what I’ve typically found as well, the brass channels are fantastic. Feels like butter.
The Moerman Liquidator channels need less detailing, but it’s a very different feel and more challenging to master, so I don’t typically recommend using them when you’re getting started. Once you are able to make the transition though it makes things move faster!
Thanks for sharing, I use ladder for a second floor, dont do three floor buildings unless I can reach it with ladder. Extension pole looks awesome, but I am concerns with how you wipe it after you wash it, it is impossible to leave no marks after using squeege ?.
@@americanboychronicles 3rd floor windows you either need a longer ladder (probably 28 foot) to clean it properly with traditional tools. You need a very high quality pole to effectively clean a window from that far away. It can be done, probably easiest with straight pulls, just takes a lot more skill to get it perfect.
That’s one situation i would personally use water fed pole with pure water system all day every day. Scenario with restore homes I would recommend a 40 foot pole, maybe even 50 if you are consider doigo larger commercial work

@@bluladder yes, this tool is definitely for later, just got screen washer tool.
I basically just starting my journey, still using my sedan, as soon as start making money on regular basis, I will upgrade everything, for now just be focusing on up to 2 story buildings.
I know it is limiting me, but will work toward to move that limit away.

@@americanboychroniclesmost homeowners completely understand, especially if it’s only 1-2 windows. If they slide open you can clean the exterior from inside, otherwise do your best with the longest pole you can find! I once moved my truck under a tall window I couldn’t quite reach, and used a pole from on top of my ladder rack 😅 sometimes where there’s a will there’s a way!
Keep up the good work, eventually you’ll upgrade and won’t have to blink when you see the tall windows!

What do you do for hard water stains or that white haze?
@@pablofernandez1656 if it’s not bad, extra fine steel wool. Next I’ll add some Bar keepers friend or a toilet bowl cleaner in a pinch, and if that won’t cut it I’ll go for the heavier hitters like this:
