Looks great! I used smart seal on my driveway, great product. One thing I would have advised is to have applied a clear coat (x2), smart seal do this in gloss or matte, though you can get a much cheaper one from screw fix. The clear coat essentially seals the drive in the condition it is in now, and helps to prevent sun damage and weeds penetrating into the joint compound. This makes maintaining the drive much easier and you can brush, wash or blow any debris off before it has chance to establish 👍

Why did you not cover it all with the first coat with the same colour, you would have done it a lot quicker? The black done with the same with the second coat cut the time in half or certainly a lot quicker? The best undercoat is the same as the finish I assume it is the same product in both colours and the kind of paint you are using black will cover the grey? I am a decorator and know how to speed the system up by not rushing in haste, it is like a blank canvas, and at the end picking out the details? The product is of high quality and will cover well, and depending on the drying times, can still be done, and the time saving its is no problem to pop back and put another coat on the black, how long would it take to do that? It would be easy to put the black on, and the first coat would cut in and roll? On depending how long it takes to dry could be done with the next coat as well, and still put on a coat of black, and to pop back and put a coat on the black again would not take that long?
You could have tried running a wide tape run around the edge of the grass, keeps any dust or dirt going on your paint work, grey everywhere then the black boarder. grey is usually used as an undercoat so best to do first, a tarp and small roller will save time to. great job guys 👍🏻

I have pressured washed patio blocks then tried apply polymeric sand where it was applied prior and have yet to have any luck with it sticking like first time applied?

By the way, should you look at the bag 's seal (that string that is used to prevent the content coming out) you will see that you can undo the string. The end that you go to is normally on the right (as you look at the writing). Try that. Can you use this stuff on concrete and what’s the life span of this product?
Looks.
Check on their website they have a separate product for concrete
Do you think this will work on granite patio slabs?
Does block magic paint stop weeds coming back
How far do you travel??
That looks mint! 👌🏻
And miles better than the original colour.
Only thing left to see is the durability?
Would a pressure washer take off the magic seal paint?
Good clean job lads. I was thinking you could have covered the whole lot with grey and then paint over the edge blocks with black, that would have made it easier for you
Would like to see it in a couple of years time - cars driven on it, summer sun, winter ice and snow
I did this but you have to repaint it about every three years.
It wll look shit is my guess mate! I'd never paint brickwork on the floor!
@@moonpunk would be OK to sell a house I suppose but them bricks were still in good order and powerwashed and sanded and a good block paver seal would have been better , Does look nice for a while though.
Does it look good? Yes🎉. Will it look :poo in a couple years? Yes.
@@johnallright6847 agree with you mate, need sealing anyways to protect the brick from cracking etc in the weather.
The sun thou will eat into any paint, you cannot beat it, it fades and weakens everything it burns, and it comes out everyday so it's consistant!
Basically, you paint this once, you create a job for life, because it will need re-painting, madness ppl
Thanks for the info
@@SMOUT_ anytime bro
does this cause any issues for future cleans? a high powered machine isn't going to take any off?
Need a 6 month comeback then 1 year etc
I think it will go Pete tong but hey I’m being honest
The paint has soaked into the block so should be fine, but remember the sun will fade the colour over time.
That one block at the front with the wide joints stands out like a sore thumb! Especially with the contrasting grey and light sand.
Nice job, what area do you cover for patio recolour
Huh never knew this product existed may have to give a try, looks fantastic and curious if you have luck with it sticking like when you first apply? I have pressured washed patio blocks then tried apply polymeric sand where it was applied prior and have yet to have any luck with it sticking like first time applied?
Did my driveway in lockdown, still looks decent now! Next door neighbour was doing his nut about the smell though!
Why not seal the driveway as well? , does it effect the paint?
Amazing job Guys ❤️ Just a wee tip! Get yourselves knee pads, or yous could end up with horrible painful knees in a few years. My Nephew has been laying floor tiles for 20 years, and he wishes he had have worn them years ago. Good Luck, I'm sure your business will go brilliantly ♥️♥️
How much did it cost? Don’t see it lasting more than a few years
You should of put clear lacquer on it to seal the sand use garden pump sprayer on fine mist then clean it out with thinners for next job don't forget to take pictures to show other customers
i prefer a soft tip brush for jointing fills the gaps better instead of pulling it out
Will it jet wash off if you have to clean it?
By the way, should you look at the bag 's seal (that string that is used to prevent the content coming out) you will see that you can undo the string. The end that you go to is normally on the right (as you look at the writing). Try that. Those bags are stronger & once you master the art of opening those bags that will save you having to cut the bag. I'm only telling you this because you look like someone that likes things neat & tidy.
No sanding done, or you will do it after sealing? The gaps between some blocks look huge. Anyway, great job
You missed a huge portion of the video at the end. Thanks
How come ya didn’t roll everything grey then do the black border last ?
I was worried about the black re-emulsifying the grey and affecting the colour but it may not have been an issue
@@SMOUT_ I thought that but when you did a second coat I imagined it would be safe to just change colour . Looks good stuff tho is there a final seal or is it all in the mix ?
