*It's great caught caught a brown trout on the first cast. **enjoyable.fishing** recommend if it was a little smaller it would be more effective for different species*
Thats was fun, I've not made lures (or used them) since i was a kid, 50 years ago, but as well as your channel I seem to becoming addicted to lure making channels. Lol
Grandpa, how do you whittle them squirrels so good? Well I simply cut off all the parts that don't look like a squirrel. Fantastic video guys! That young man really is a rock star! He's a great craftsman.
Great video. I’ve watched all your vids over the past couple of years. I live in the same neck of the woods as these awesome people. Enjoy your stay and good luck on the trip to the coast. I think after all that tedious work I might have to tie on some braid. Nice lure!
Robert what an amazing lifestyle and opportunity you have, I always enjoy your videos and the showcase of the talent that young man has was a incredible video

Did you do video and editing before you started your channel? That is the part I keep having difficulty with. Your videos are very well put together! Keep it up 🤙
I recommend that you don't use wood where the 2 types of grain come together because the senter (the red part of wood) tends to be heavier so it makes your lure a bit unstable. Just a tip for if you want it perfect.
Thanks man, that’s a good point. But I’m thinking maybe a little offset wobble might be what makes the fish strike. I don’t think predators are as attracted to uniform movement as they are to erratic movement. Might end up being a positive. We’ll see!
What an awesome video! Max seems like such a phenomenal kid!
He is!
Great video. Reminds me of when my father taught me how to make a few lures in Mobile Alabama.

I bought Woodglut once and now I have lifetime access to thousands of woodworking projects.

I have a renewed faith in humanity!!
Max helped restore mine.
Those angry eyes on the lure will have the fish on the run.. ;)
Pretty sure that kid is from Stranger Things
If so, somebody should tell him
"one daaaaayyy"
Haha
unscripted but unintentionally reminds me of the kid and Tony stark iron man 3 in a very real way.
Haven’t seen it
Did he learn all this on Marling baits or Milliken fishing
Neither, but he does watch Marling baits now
I did it myself thanks to Woodglut.
Working with children is the future
Literally.
Buy carving knife it's the best Lee Valley....
Man I wish I had two hands to fish jk I can still fish with one hand

Hello
Hey!
He needs some poly, but it at Home Depot it would make a way better bill than a beer cap
The beer cap works great
