As always you provide enough information verbally and visually for someone who listens and watches will be able to make a similar lure. And the calculations are a much needed part of the construction process, because making something that works really well is in the details. Thanks for sharing your time and joy of building lures with all who will watch.
Accidentally got into this site and I have been learning something new on every episode. The final testing of all your lures is remarkable. Thx for your sharing and hard work.
Thanks Franco, very nice build! Great paint-job! Like the way you made the tail, might give that a try. Call me lazy, I typically use a treble hook dressed with squirrel tail (reverse-tied, folded back, flattened, set the base with a bit of uv resin and cut in a "V" to shape) that is quick to make.
@@pakde8002 True! I tie a lot of streamer flies and jigs (for bass and walleyes) so embellishing a hook with feathers or hair is "normal" for me and plain hooks do look naked 😀 I admit that for some lures dressed hooks as just "eye candy" but other lures (like Franco's Lolipop) really benefit from the dressing. I add a 4 - 5 inch long bucktail to the Lolipop which gives it a nice profile with great action that the bass are fond of. Cheers!
I have always wondered if painting the hardware a moss green or some other camouflage would help with more bites or get one less bites on average. Anyways, thanks for the videos. Good fishing.
Finally caught a break to focus on this build. I've got my own custom trolling rod project on the bench and just finished wrapping the ring guides. It's lunch time and too hot to start working with epoxy so I thought let's see how Franco is doing. Impressive as usual blah blah blah. Lets talk about my true love, coffee. Sounds like you brought a stock of Columbian coffee back. Can't beat fresh locally sourced beans, it's definitely a level above and so delicious. I need to make a trip up to the mountains here in Bali to a little village called Desa Subuk (in case anyone is coming to Bali now that travel bans are lifted). There's a little "warung" (community store) beside the road with a coffee plantation out back. The lady who runs the place will make you a cup and and even call up to the grinder if you want to buy a kilo or two to take home. I don't know if it's a combination of the clean mountain water and the coffee freshly pan roasted on her stove and hand ground or my imagination but it never tastes quite so good as in the village. Damn, gotta get back up there soon.
Another awesome build! Wondering,, are you familiar with the lead head Gotcha jig? If so, I would love to see a 1 ounce solid body creation! I've been working on a creation of my own, but could really use your intellect as I am stumped!
@@EngineeredAngler that's nice! Perhaps I should have included that I'm fishing from a pier that's around 20 feet above the water. That presents a little different problem,,, when twitching the bait, I need it to stay in the water! But your reef rocket looks very interesting! By the way, I'm not trying to copy Gotcha, just trying to mimic the action of the underwater "walk-the-dog". I found your Facebook page, perhaps I could message you?

I love that bait.. beautifully made. Thanks for making awesome videos.
That means a lot coming from you... thank you so much.

Beautiful Lure, BIG THX from Germany for sharing Ideas like that !!
Thank you.
Best lure channel on TH-cam amazing looking lure 👍
One more to add to the list under the heading of someday. The carving and painting were spot on.
Thank you.

Great content, as usual. Thanks for the motivation.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Nice lure 👍 keep the calculations in the videos they're a big help!
Agreed
Your vids have helped me make my own lures and understand how to build them correctly. Thanks for everything you do 👍🏻
That is satisfying to hear, thanks.
I enjoy the videos I’m still trying to get the hinges down on mine. Any upcoming videos on hinge details? Thanks

Great looking lure, works well and I would say it dives deep enough, well done
Great build - looks good and catches fish too. Love the detail.
Another amazing lure can't wait to give it a go
Great editing and amazing lure my friend! Very impressive 👍🏻
Thank you
Wow, the flash that thing had! Another great video from EA!
Thanks again!
Man that turned out great! I was just thinking of a similar bait to try and make
Nice one. Thanks for the video. Watching woodwork is always a good stress relief for me.
That’s a cool looking bait. Thank you for sharing your build.
Your one of the best fishing lure makers on TH-cam!!! Nice home made lure.
once i get the courage up to try a segmented bait I'm making one of these! The trout and reds will eat it alive at the coast! Awesome paint job too!

Sounds like a good technique 👌
Yeah that's lazy LoL. Lazy is no tail and a naked hook. I might use a red treble if I've got a couple handy😁

Very very cool! Thanks for giving me lots of new ideas to try out on my lures. The pain brush bristle tailfin is a really great idea.
Glad you enjoyed it...help me grow the channel and share my videos with your friends.
I really like that one a lot. Watching from New Sharon, Maine.
Nice bait Franco. Headed to Florida in a week to visit my parents in New Port Richey. Hope to get in some good fishing time while there.
Nice time of year for it good luck
@@EngineeredAngler taking my kayak so near shore stuff. Any tips on locations I may to try? 6 year old grandson is going with me and he’s so excited
I've been watching a lot of your videos and in every one there's still something new to learn!
Glad to hear it! Thanks
Nice Bait! Definitly have to do one on my own , maybe without a lip and just slightly suspending 😀👍

Awesome lure! That is definitely going to produce some nice fish!
Thanks.
Beautiful job!
Thank you!
Do you have any plans for this? Love the look of this lure, learned a lot, thanks for the vids!
That lure would slay striped bass in the North East……….The paint scheme would be perfect here and the action was spot on.
What is the best time of year?...I want to make trip to try my hand at striper fishing
@@EngineeredAngler There is a spring and fall run. The fall is easier to plan around. Mid November would be a good time.

Sounds like a unique pleasure you should definitely indulge in...wish I could come along.
This was a great video!!!
Thank you!!
Sir that’s a cool lure!
I've been using 18 Gauge Half Hard Copper Wire for the line ties.
A lot easier to bend and tune ur Baits.
Just a thought...
Robert Bently George
I'm always worried that the softer wires will come out of tune too easily. Sounds like you found something that works for you. Thanks for sharing 👍.
Have you ever tried plywood for making Lewers? I have a little left over from a job I did.
No but, if its not full of voids, it should work just fine.
Cool lure
Another awesome build!

Hi i was wondering if you make and have prints of the lures you make ty.
Not yet....
Nice!
Thanks for the great video ++
Thank you too
Is the brush on the tail fin just cosmetic or does it help to the action?
It's cosmetic. Fins tend to kill action.
I would like to purchase this lure please
Try and make an African Cichlid Hard Body Swimbait
I'm thinking about it...I just don't usually make lures that are not something I would normally fish with. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Maybe...I'm do for another shad bait
Europa love it Amsterdam (Noord-Holland kanaal)
Thank you
You also forgot the fins. But I think it doesn’t make a great difference.
