I was recently watching some of your older videos and I think it would be a cool idea for you to remake some of your older videos like the huge tiger trout jerk bait I think it would be a good way for us to see how you’ve progressed and what you do differently and also a way for people to see your older videos

The angle at which it dives must be determined by drag forces in the water. There has to be the same amount of drag above and below the line, so the bait turns downward to put the lip perpendicular to the line.
Also, I added subtitles to the missing audio section last video, check it out!

pure science, so necessary here where snow falls through the sunshine before our very eyes. I love this kind of thing. I always carry an empty plastic shopping bag with me and a hook and lure on a long piece of line in my pocket any time I go past a good fishing spot and can't take all my gear along. I have caught blue gill on just a line tied to the dock, many times. Good show! Solar noon is the feeding time for cold water, they say. I am jealous of your crappie pond. Have not caught one yet. Have not fished the local lakes in warm water yet this year but I have a good feeling about it. Makes me happy to see you catch fish.

You can keep the laundry basket setup if you can just put some window screen or some other mesh on top; alternatively, drill into a plastic bin, keeping lid intact and attach pool noodles as per the laundry basket. Lid is easy to attach/detach and functions identically to the other pen you've made. Great video!

Commenting before watching and I'll edit after, I've always thought that a really shallow angle is good for small crankbaits, good for making the bait dive to the bottom and imo looks like a bait fish feeding
    Edit: well shit.

The "degree of the bill" is obviously relative to the "horizontal plane" (CL head to tail) of the lure. I don't know much about the specific degrees....looking at a crankbait: • long narrow lip = tighter wobble • wider or spoonbill shaped lip = wider wobble • the closer the lip is to the horizontal plane = deep diver • closer the lip is to the "vertical plane" ( or 90°) = shallow diver or wakebait.
Full Disclosure: I've been up for about 20 hours...if If I sound like an idiot it's because I obviously am....

Luke from Catfish and Carp uses a mesh laundry basket to keep fish in. It allows the fish to be underwater and stay in your laundry basket. Plus, the opening on them is very large so you don’t have to worry about them jumping out or you accidentally throwing them back in the water.

here's an idea to find out each baits diving depth.
use the panoptix sonar you got for ice fishing, mount the transducer on a longer pole and go to the pond that has the dock in it. hook the pole to the dock somehow and have the transducer pointing forward. should work great as a diving depth reference for the different angled lips.

Fish are opportunistic, as long as you got something in the right spot they will generally eat it depending on their mood , sometimes no matter what you throw at them they just won’t touch it , those day happen to. Lures still have to have some ability to show fish they are worth eating as well ,a branch or stick is not going to cut it I’m afraid lol ,interesting video ,nice fish and your lures work so that in itself is pretty cool , your work making them paid off ,well done.👍

A good live well idea is using two milk crates. Cut one milkcrate down to a few inches of its base and hinge it onto the other crate to produce a lid. They fit together nicely as they are meant to be stacked. The lid can then be used as a tray for storage, or attaching styrofoam for floating etc. How I do it on my kayak!
