I loved how Lilia recognized Rudy giving Norn the same sword speech Paul gave. Isekai or not Rudy is Pauls kid.
The rest of Paul's party recognition of that was a great touch.
sucks it took pauls death for him to realize
Such a good way to make sure that paul is never forgotten and will live on through his children and their swordsmanship.
Ye, her realization it was the same speech word by word as Paul gave him.
Thank you for covering this from the manga and the anime side. As a truck driver. I drive and listen to you cover and talk about the manga and take my 34hr reset on weekend and watch new episodes that came out in Sunday and watch your TH-cam channel talking about the new episode. Thank you
Truck-kun gonna strike again and make another protagonists
@@johnraven3000170 man you just took the words out my mouth.
Thank you for providing us so many isekai protagonists.
Maybe I can count on you to send me to the 6 faced world
Truck Kun sama pls isekai me
When he was leaving the graveyard and the wind pushed him forward like how paul used to always push him forward was beautifully done, but i got soo scared when they showed that and was saying to myself "DO NOT SHOW PAUL STANDING THERE SMILING OR IM GONNA ABSOLUTELY BREAK DOWN😢" . This whole episode was an emotional rollercoaster and i cherish every single moment of it. Happy Mushoku Sundays everyone ❤
They couldn't for reasons that are spoilers.
@@OpZeroFilms yeah I figured as much.
@@OpZeroFilms don't tell me he came back as force ghost...
@@PrograError no
@@OpZeroFilms 😅, that was a rhetorical question tho...
I almost cried when Eris briefly showed her back in the ending.
Eris is now canonically in season 2
@@hudsonball4702 you now only the manga is real canon surse. So only becase u have a preaview dosnt mean its real
She was a lot smaller than she supposed to be however. I really don't know what the studio doing..
@@hudsonball4702 She also showed up in episode 1 (in Rudeus's imagination and as a bundle of hair)
@@n3zum156 No. the WN/LN are the only real canon.
The manga butchers characters left and right, and is an insult.
agreed, Norn's VA nailed that assignment holy hell.
I’ve watched every single skipped content of yours, since S2 began. I must say that is the best in the platform, thank you.
AGREE ThankS TO
Otaku Spirit FTW
This episode was emotionally well done
Mylphy!!!
The wind hitting Rudy's back, like an approving clap on the back from a proud father...chef's kiss. Beautiful story, and your coverage of skipped content is equally as beautiful. Thank you!
What hit me hard was how seeing the birth of his child, it changed him, he matured quite a bit in seconds and its true. I felt like a completely different person after seeing my son born.
Agreed that was definitely the biggest moment for me and I have no kids.
Sylphie showing Why she's number 1 Best Girl.
I liked the sparring with Norn & Rudy later in the episode too, and Aisha & Norn becoming a lil closer.
I swear though, if they showed a spirit image of Paul smiling back at Rudy after he left his grave, I was gonna break again 😭😭
Gahhh, now we gotta wait for the awesomeness of S3 detailing Vol13 - 15 with the lio glimpse of 2nd Best Girl, Eris, and Badigadi leading Ruijerd to the Northeast (no spoilers guys).
as long as it is not Nanahoshi
@@hungthepro1234 😂😂😂 that's cold.. Nanahoshi is good peoples
@@kmdreacts i am speaking in Sylphie mind
and it is still "as long as it is not nanahoshi"
Yea my love for Sylphie jumped through the roof in this scene, Eris was always my favourite, but they’re both neck & neck now, I can’t choose. And both get even better in the future.
@@hungthepro1234She says it’s because Nanahoshi doesn’t love Rudy, as that’s her conditions for marriage, but I wonder is there something else with her, I’m only starting vol 19 so I don’t know if anything else is done with them in the future, or if she still holds bad feelings towards her for the displacement incident.
The end to quote plankton" I'm still processing my emotions".
Sylphie is a saint: Saint Sylphie. The end shot with the household staring at the stars was awesome. And we caught a glimpse of charizard I mean Eris at the end. Overall, really great season.
Sylphie is a Saint. Because she is the most human and the most kind. One can respect goddesses but only wish to become a Saint.
I notbaly for some reason didn’t tear up when Paul died, but this episode I teared up. First off Slyphie looks very nice with long hair. She really gives off a motherly look. The wind down of Norn and Aisha crying, Zenith grabbing Paul's gloves, Rudy's child being born, and Rudy visiting his Dad's grave. Sylphie saying she knew Rudy's dirty mind wouldn't hold hin back. So much in this one episode.
Analise's words made me cry. I've been blaming myself for my father's death for the last 2 ½ years. I grew a bit from this too. Covid took him, all I did was make the call on the plug. The last few episode have brought up allot. So happy that I had my therapist to talk to. If you feel affected seek one out to speak to. . .it helps. It really does...
❤
Norn's VA really did kill it this episode, I'm honestly curious to see if the dub VA manages to put as much emotion into their performance since most of the dub cast does a pretty serviceable to good job during the more poignant scenes.
I saw dillo peek his little head into frame and got excited, hopefully dillo will get his screen time in season 3
When in the ep
@@ruairi9109 about 10 seconds in while they are walking up the path to the house you can see him with the group. Then you can see his head at the bottom of the frame just before the 3 minute mark when the camera pans out with Rudy and Sylphy embracing in the doorway.
Badi was just wandering with Ruijerd, scoping out the North East going back to Ogre Island.
That's it.. I said north-west 😅
You made me appreciate MT so much more. Thanks - can’t wait for season 3
OK hear me out.
Rudy: Sylphie I need to tell you something.
Sylphie: looking at Roxy and giving that sideways glance.
J Cole: She knows begins to play in the background.
And I know she knows
*Saxophone intensifies*
All you'd need is the first 3 seconds, then it fades to black
"Damned if I do..., damned if I don't....
You know I got a girl back home..."
@@hiban751 that line fits to Ruddy's situation perfectly.
I think some of the alterations to the adaptation might have backfired. At first I thought the Merchant Caravan in the desert could be skipped with no major consequences, but it seems to indirectly speak to the situation of Roxy trying to "Save" Rudeus.
Roxy wasnt in the merchant caravan portion of the story. The importance of that scene has to do with Rudeus' hangup with killing people, which will become relevant later.
@@TheAssassin409 No, not that ... about how if they didnt change their culture when it came to relationships they would quickly run out of men.
Succubus would encounter a group of adventurer's foragers, it takes a few and the others fight to the death. Eventually they started to include female's in the teams to cure the aftermath.
"At present, every group of fighters or guards on this continent contained at least a few women. When the party encountered a Succubus, they were responsible for slaying it and then sleeping with the men to break the spell. Some groups even had more women than men, since facing Succubi was safer that way. All in all, the women of this continent did more than their fair share of the fighting."
"Carmelita had no objections to her role. Whenever her band encountered a Succubus, she killed it and slept with the men to break its enchantment. Of course, this sometimes resulted in pregnancies, but the women warriors accepted this and would return home proudly when it happened. The baby was eventually entrusted to the people of their village, and the warrior returned to her duties."
They had to give up the concept of monogamy, or only send out husband and wife pairs. In case of the second option should one of the wives die, the husband left would end up sleeping with someone else's wife or had to be killed. This did not mean women did not form relationships with some people, but it was either dead and faithful or alive and pragmatic.
Ok I gotta point out - they included Sylphie's burn on her hand. You can see it when Rudy is holding her hand after she gives birth. That's the attention to detail I love to see!
What caused it?
@@MissionSilo She touched a hot pot when she was a child before she met Rudy.
what happened to sylphie telling norn to shutup mid conversation , that part was was very necessary 🤣🤣🤣
That was the point where it became clear who the actual head of the family was. Basically everyone in the house lives according to Sylphie's wishes to support Rudy and keep drama to a minimum when he's home.
@@th3ch33tand didn’t rudeus talk to Lucy in Japanese after her birth ? To ease her worries even if she was otherworlder like rudeus? Could’ve sworn that wasn’t added either :/ pain
@drx696 Yeah, but that's something they might add as filler in the first episode or two of next season. I kinda doubt it though, they seem to skip most of the finer details and dumb down the story for the anime.
@@th3ch33t agreed, I’m just wondering why couldn’t this anime be a 25 episode season like how Tensura does it :/ instead of cramming the volumes in 12 episodes and having split cours. So much context omitted from the anime it’s making me wanna re read the series again
@drx696 I think that would be better for the show as well. The way it's being done now forces them to skip too much. I'll admit the show is still good, and it's really nice to see visuals alongside the story in the novels.
These are some of the best most thorough videos on skipped content out there. Thank you
It was great having your videos soon after the episodes droped every week
Thank you for doing this for my favorite show!
I look forward to this every Sunday, I feel like I am getting a bonus episode. I also like how you still drop content between seasons to help us get through the break.
Thank you!!
Thanks!
Amazing. Thanks for bringing the graveyard scene with the wind pushing Rudy forward was like a universe telling him Paul is still with him. Very heartfelt
Thanks for your Passionate coverage, I enjoyed every single episode.
lets go season 3 confirmed!
Thanks for the video!
Great video, as always. Thanks.

Thank you for your content, I really enjoyed watching mushoku tensei’s skipped content
Thank you for doing your skip content, man. I'm still catching up to Mushoku Mondays and the LN and yeah, I hope they take their time with S3. Glad to have found your channel many months ago and really appreciate what you're doing!
Loved the episode.
this ep hits hard, i especially like the scene when norn ask rudy for paul's sword, telling her the same words paul told him before. he does remember his father's teaching, i'm glad.
You sir , You're a good story teller
Good vid I always watch these recaps all the way through even though I alr finished the wn just so relaxing for some reason
I like to listen to this too because the WN has some differences to the LN and he is reading the LN.
This episode hit hard! made even better with the skipped content! can't wait for the next season.
I agree with you 100%, Norn's VA absolutely killed her performance! That said, it wasn't able to bring me to tears. Probably because I couldn't quite relate to her enough exactly. BUT, when Zenith kind of snapped out of her daze to look at Norn, and then especially when she grabbed Paul's gauntlets, I don't even fully know why or what exactly it was about that, but THAT got me to shed a tear...
All that said, I wasn't a huge fan personally with the scene asking Sylphie to bring Roxy into the family. I already had always not liked harem anime in general, but I was starting to really warm up to it with the way it's been being handled within the anime thus far. I mean, I still don't LOVE it, but I was definitely okay with the idea. And don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that scene ruined it for me and I'm no longer okay with it anymore. I am! BUT, I just also feel like that whole scene for the most part felt very unnatural, rushed, and just all-around like it could've been better... Norn's role in that scene however honestly kind of saved it for me. She was really the only one that had any sort of relatable reaction to everything. Idk, I know they were pressed for time obviously, but for me personally, I wouldn't have minded them waiting until season 3 if it meant nailing that whole thing with asking Sylphie about Roxy etc...
Either way though, I'm very sad it's over and I cannot WAIT for season 3 now...
This story is one of the best because it is so relatable in different ways to different people. I'm glad I got to see him cry sometimes when reading because I cried at different points of the story. It really just depends on the person.
I fight people over Paul because to me he is scum but good scum. I respect him but don't think he went about things right. Not that that is a bad thing. Going into a burning house to save someone is sometimes better than waiting or calling for help first. But I do go back and forth about it.
Sylphie is a Saint. She is the most understanding and kind. Where Roxy is a goddess put on a platform whether she deserves it or not. Sylphie is the most human. She would never have the strength that Norn did to defend herself because she has so much doubt and low self esteem that she believes she would say something and Rudy would leave her. That's why she is a Saint. She knew even from a young age that Rudy only talked about Roxy. So she created that goddess in her mind that Rudy lifted.
Side not I personally don't like Rick and Morty but there is an episode about relationships where they manifest a being from someone thoughts about their partner. And one character makes that being manifest a bigger being from their thoughts. Making a God.
This is the easiest way to explain how Sylphie saw Roxy in Rudy's eyes. And now that Sue was in front of her. She couldn't turn her away. Because she was smaller than her. She wasn't that Goddess Rudy claimed her to be. Sylphie is such a Saint that she saw the humanity and love of everyone in that room. And having Norn do the yelling cements that here. They are all family what one does effect them all. Not only that by rejecting Roxy would have made Aisha feel bad because Aisha is a half sibling. It makes the whole family go broke. Even though Sylphie may not have thought all that through. To her She had accepted that faith even before she married Rudy. She just didn't want Rudy to leave her.
@otaku Spirit, Rudy is panicking when they returned because he didn't feel the "regret" what Hitogami was referring to. So Rudy is assuming that it is probably a regret leaving his home and something happened to them. That's why he panicked and rushed home
Thank you
When it comes to anime, I'm not an easy man to make cry. Kudos for Norn and her VA for doing the impossible.
I notice Andrew cries a lot while reading some of these chapters, I rarely ever cry, I seriously doubt I’ll do it here, the only time I remember my eyes tearing up was reading the last 2 pages of Elfen Lied.
I absolutely love those last 10 pages of that story, I often just take it down and just reread them to get my happy/sad feeling. It’s why it’s such a travesty that the anime butchered the story, it only covered half the story and created a completely different ending, the ending is the best part!!
Sorry I got comepletely sidetrack while writing this reply, it was supposed to be about crying.
Thank you for these videos. I love the anime and this helps make it more enjoyable.
Been enjoying your content for the last few weeks and I'm really glad i found your channel. You have the best mushoku tensei content out there! Keep up the good work😊
Can't wait to tune in for these when the next season comes out
Love the content. Thanks for putting out great work! Ur awesome
Thabk you for the mushoku anime break downs. Ive enjoyed it every week as an anime only fan. Please keep it up in the future
I need Paul at every story climax as a force ghost.
I'm not much of a crier, but the last episode had me choppin' some onions. It was outstanding, and wow - Sylphie looked beautiful with her longer hair and "expecting glow". 10/10 all day long!
I didnt have too many notes for this episode either. But I cant wait for the goddess of war to make her appearance. Best girl is on her way!!!
Always good 👍❤
MYLPHY!
Im actually glad that season 3 is in production. Really can't wait.
I still think Paul's death was partly or more like his own fault anyway.. I think everybody knew they needed more preparation before attempting to save Zenith they could've called for back up Ghislaine maybe and Ruijerd or Zoldat even. But hey you can't stop the man's desire to save his lover who is already within reach..
I fight people about this all the time.
I love hearing your take and it's very interesting. I'm at work right now listening. I don't read the manga so thx for add that extra flavor
Thanks 🎉
As someone who hasn't read the novels, I think the cut content is more due to time constrains than anything else (like trying to make it more accessible). I got a feeling that they cut off a lotta Roxy stuff during the dungeon crawling section. I know that we already love and know a lot about Roxy but it would've been nice get more of the Roxy of "now" before the part where her and Rudy upset twitter lol. But overall great part 2 as always, there's no parts that was obviously clunky like the Badighadi part in part 1.
Agreed… most of it probably would have been superfluous stuff that'd just eat up time and energy to animate…
If Rudy hadn’t been injured during the fight I don’t think norn would be able forgive him for their father death i just worry how he gonna explain to everyone that Roxy’s would be wife number two.
No spoilers but Zenith in this kills you then volume 21 is your grave 🪦it's my favorite volume ❤
They knocked it out of the park with this episode. I can now finally read these LNs you've forced me to collect 😂.
Going to miss these every Sunday!
Almost didn't recognize Sylphie. Her face and hair looked so different, more mature I guess.
Such a great episode! Such a great video from Andrew!
Man, so glad third season was announced, but animation need not to be rushed... please.
This episode was loaded, I had to pause it half way through to take a break for a few minutes.
Now we just have to wait for the OVA. I’m 90% certain it’s going to be another Eris episode and it’s plot was hinted at earlier this season 👩🏻🦰
ty for the skipped content videos
God, I wish they just did a 45 minute finale instead of the usual time. It did feel a tad bit rushed. Thankfully, Norn saved the episode. Her emotions and reactions to things seemed the most reasonable out of everyone in the series. Thank god for these voice actors holding the show up. They deserve a damn medal.
Damn I cried xd I can’t wait for the next season!
So wait, his hand is gonna stay like that? Isn't he able to get it back to normal with healing magic or something?
Great EP. Can't wait for next season🎉.
I still hate the way you say "Eris" but I love your videos, especially, because you put them out the same day I watch the episode. I can tell you're a real fan because you describe the emotions I feel too. Thank you for your content!
I already knew Roxy would have been accepted before it even happened something I truly love about this series they love giving out little hints everywhere for a lot of foreshadowing you just got to be able to look and listen out for them.
Just noticed, Sylphie looked different in this final ep, maybe its just the hair, but she looked a lot more mature, womanly.
Being a LN reader, I was prepared for Paul's death and I was worried about how I would react when it finally happened in the anime. When it happened, I felt the lump in my throat and the pain in my chest, but I barely teared up. It was only until this episode, when Rudeus gave Norn the speech about having a sword in your heart and it flashes a picture of Paul, that it came rushing out. This was a really good episode, I don't care that it didn't have any action or magic, or anything like that. Mushoku Tensei is so much more than all of that, I am glad the anime is doing its best to show other sides to the show.
Truly a spectacular series. I love Mushoku Tensei❤
40:40 yeah she basically yell at her own father she respected so much through Rudy huh
I was waiting for this one.
Read this part in the Light Novel immediately after finishing the anime-episode.
I guess I'll go ahead and read ahead a bit before season 3.
I'm hopping off the Sylphie hate train 😭😭
How did you get there to begin with?! 😂😅
@@sovereigndayyouthkafir3943i was picking up haters fam 😂
Great video! I love watching your skipped content and the mushoku Monday videos.
Side note: I wished that the story would have shown Rudy taking his dad's ear cuffs and wear them from then on - carrying a piece of his dad always. It's just a thought I had.
I'm really glad to see you cry everyone has relatable moments of this story. To have that much emotion. I only cried twice. Once Paul reunited with Rudy after that fight and one when Paul died and Rudy broke after seeing his mother wake up.
Man this episode had my feels feeling the feels of their feels. My heart especially dropped when i saw Sylphy's face went from :D to D: real quick
the whole regret thing, wasnt a warning, its was a threat.
I'm an F1 fan, and yesterday right before the MT Episode was a Austria GP F1 race. Red Bull Ring in Austria is considered one of the most interesting track's around the season with its 3 DRS (Drag Reduction System) zones on long straights with it's hard brakings zones allow for a lot of action on the track. I slept through half of the race. I saw whole action at the end, battle for the win between Verstappen and Norris.
I missed episode premiere by 30 minutes, but when i remembered i got all excited, grabbed some food, got comfy and sat and watched it.
What i want to say, i got more exited for MT ep.
I did not cry until I saw the picture of Paul holding up a young Rudeus at the end.
I cried so much this ep 😢😭 11/10
The finally was so good, I cried like 3 separate times. Just thinking about it, I'm starting to cry. Omg it was just way too good, holy shit
58:31 i don't think rushing will really matter. When fights happens it always looks good, it's more about direction of scenes as an adaptation.
this show was good and i think this episode worked really well though i would have liked to see more reactions of the other students at the school when they got back. my biggest worry is basically all plot threads have been tied up at this point and it is a good stopping point overall. so i happy they already confirmed moving forward with more seasons
Third season officially announced.
Can we ever hope to se season one animation quality again? Or we can only be happy that at least more of the story is being animated?
I just hope the current story quality can be maintained, more than anything story is the one that will carry it far along the animated quality.
It's basically a maths pyramid, if anything is too small it won't be right…
@@PrograError But the story could also be better, and by this I mean less cuts.
It was a great reference having the daughter doing the same angry sword training as her father, towards the same situation, but Rudeus was the scumbag, that had his second wife seduce him, and he took the bait.
i cried a whole 20 minutes XD
This episode got me good. Norn's VA is incredible. CAN'T WAIT GOR SEASON 3
Dude, you're making me tear up reading this.
