You rule Lee! Thanks so much for this tutorial. I didn't know why my FX loop pedals weren't present while plugged into the send & return. It's so easy now after watching your video, there are all of the settings! I never would have figured this out on the physical interface or in the software with out your video. There are no REAL tutorials for the GT-100 or the Tone Studio software. Thanks bro!
Thanks Lee, I've just acquired a GT-100 version 2 and was wondering how to produce a 12-string guitar sound. There is no dedicated 12-string effect preloaded into the GT-100. I also have a compact Mosaic 12-string emulator. I've listened to your tutorial and see how I can run the Mosaic though the S/R on the GT-100. Here's a question though. If I run the GT-100 in manual mode by assigning other effects to each pedal, would the same method you suggest still work?
You could use as many as you like technically as the GT isn't controlling them it's simply placing a send point in it's chain, at which you can add a bunch of pedals then return to the GT's chain. if that makes sense ?! :-)
I connect Ditto looper exactly that way because you can loop longer 5min. ...But still don't know how to store, when I go in settings all works fine, until I switch to different sound it's back again & have to set up from beginning, any help ...?
Ok, if you want to use the 4 cable method is there any way to add some independent distortion and compressor pedal ( like a tweed 57 and keeley) in the fx chain. Or would you have to abandon the 4 cable method and just run everything through the front of the amp.
YES!!! That is exactly what I was hoping to hear. So far I have the Electro Harmonix Ravish Sitar. I want to add two pedals by Strymon. Then I think I'll be done....I think. LOL!!
Let me try and explain what I'm trying to achieve, running some independant pedals through the front of the amp and using the GT 100's effects through the effects loop on my amp like lets say delay, chorus flanger reverb etc?
ALAN67107 The pedal placement becomes more important if you plan to use distortion. Without it, you can effectively place it before the GT, after it, or in the send/return loop. If you're using a phaser, chorus, flanger, tremolo, echo, delay, or reverb pedal, it's generally best to put it after your distortion; so basically, move the S/R thing on the screen to the right. Also, if you put the S/R all the way to the left or right, it's the same thing as plugging into the external pedal first (left) or plugging into it last (if the s/r is all the way on the right.)
This way i lose the ability to use my amp send and return with the boss GT100. I prefer the old boss GT PRO because it has more loops "send and returns". I wish the next GT have at least an extra loop to enable the use of stomp boxes and real amps all controlled by the GT

Cool tutorial for us GT-100 users.
Thanks Lee!
How do you combine the 4 cable method and add the external pedals in the loop?
You are very greate musician! Congratulations!!!

Thanks again Lee, could you say run another distortion pedal into it the same way?

Lee.. Question for you.. Can I hook up a Zoom G1x foux module to the Boss Gt 100 ...as a secondary effects processor..?

Awesome once again! Do you have the tab for your tapping? I'd like to try and learn this piece. \m/

Hi Lee is it possible to use this method to using my sy300 ? if not how would you hook them up together cheers !!!!!!

does the sound quality that comes from the Boss analog pedal same as the ones coming from the GT100?
How many individual stomp boxes can you use with the send and return in the GT 100?
They are updating the GT100 to 2.0 firmware that adds TE-2 and a few more new things in a few weeks.
HI!!!
AND WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE IF i COUPLE DIRECTLY OUTSIDE WITH A JACK MY PEDAL WITH THE GT 100 AS A CHAIN OF PEDALS ,,,,??
ALAIN
I mean not in the fx loop!!!
