Okay question! Just picked up a 370Z with 72k miles 2009’for 9000 cash off this Guy, but I wanna do a N/A build with running forged components..
    I wanted to
Do eagle rods an wis pistons… can you help me in the right direction..
What would be a good direction with this.
I know N/A won’t be much power gains but it’s still a cheap route than boosting for now..
Figured I running forged would save a few problems in the long run internally

@_Zoctane u can definitely run like 600-620whp stock internals all day with a solid tune...seen cars last for years like that..still healthy..just a thought...but minimum is what u stated..eagles will hold just fine...probably unnecessary unless ur pulling over 650whp

Man love the video lots to think about! One question tho what compression ratio do you suggest. Thinking bout the z1 supercharger kit.lots of people are apparently running 500 with stock internals without problems. while it is the goal power wise,it’s also a goal to build it as reliably as possible

If you're only planning on 500@tire (which is by no means "slow") I would totally go down the supercharger rabbit hole...a stock VQ maintained properly can support that power level for years without a hiccup. Twin turbos is a highly involved (motor drop) and laborious installation. The supercharger and fuel system could be casually installed in 2 days...annnd...blower cars are fun to drive🙃

@@sethjoyner391so the engine is torn apart right now I should just keep the stock pistons and rods then?

@bassel000x soooo..it's all about power goals....5-600hp and it was a clean tear down...je pistons and eagle/bc rods, something basic..don't forget upgraded gallery gaskets/hardware/ 271 lock tight...I also suggest an ati dampner for all engines especially if cammed/ forged etc

How required is it to run this wire for good headseal?

IMO with proper cooling...anything over around that 800whp mark...regular solid deck mod w/no o ring; probably 750whp all day
