  • A quick drive in my personal 2006 Honda S2000 AP2 V2! The car is equipped with a Science of Speed Stage 2 Supercharger (Paxton Novi 1200) with an upgraded heat exchanger, tuned on Hondata making 450WHP on a Dynapack. Exhaust set up is a Berk Test Pipe with a Tanabe Medallion Catback.
    Overall, an incredibly outstanding car with reliable and addicting power. VTEC comes on at 4500 RPM and pulls linearly until the mile-high 8400rpm redline!

    Owned an AP1 for many years and this type of driving is what I enjoyed most. It’s absolutely a drivers car. The 50/50 weight ratio makes it very predictable. Don’t be fooled, that back end will kick out easily but can be managed.

    I've just bought one of these, 540BHP at the crank, lightened flywheel and all sorts. The power band is so aggresibe above 7krpm, you're right on keeping the revs away from the redline in anything but dry weather as it will spin! I love the sound of your exhaust though, the Headers, test pipe and skunk2 catback is just too loud.

    It just goes to show how quickly one of these can bite. At 3.20 if you were a bit more aggressive with the throttle you may have had too much rotation to catch. These cars definitely need to be respected.

    How was the torque under 4k...does the SC make a significant improvement where it makes it 'easier' to drive in normal traffic? I know SC don't do a lot at lower RPMs but I'm curious to know how it translates to real world driving.
    I've been trying to make up my mind between turbo and SC. I'm an NA gu and I love a good linear and predictable power delivery, but after a few years of owning it I need more at the lower RPMs. Not really chasing numbers or peak HP/torque, just want to make it more enjoyable to drive.

    • @AestheticMedia
      @AestheticMedia  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes it did, although it’s not “torquey” per say, it’s definitely easier to get up and go or even change lanes on the highway at 6th gear.
      I am also an NA fanatic having owned GT4/3RS, E90 M3, S2000 CR, etc. and this kit was definitely a more linear setup and felt like the kit enhanced the NA power.

    • @jiurriza
      @jiurriza ปีที่แล้ว

      How did it compare with the GT4? The GT4 has more torque down low, right? I think it has a pretty flat torque curve compared to the supercharged S2000

  • @flutur8i8
    @flutur8i8 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Hi, how does that feel when accelerating? I didn't have the chance to drive a SC S2000, some people say it lags a little and try to push me over turbo, but I'm not totally convinced, compared to a supercharger kit it's a very intensive modification, more invasive and delicate, oil temperature etc.. What's your opinion? Thx

    • @AestheticMedia
      @AestheticMedia  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Absolutely no lag at all, as linear as NA. I’ve yet to drive a turbo one but I think I’d enjoy SC more as this platform was intended to be an NA platform. Also yes, turbo is more invasive as you have to tap the oil pan and such.

    • @POVShotgun
      @POVShotgun 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I’d stay away from turbos. There’s always lag with turbos not with super chargers.

    • @PsiiKoTiiK
      @PsiiKoTiiK 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I dont know Who tells you lag with SC but you don't have lag with SC and you will have some with a turbo except if you go with a really small turbo it will be not really noticeable
