Wow, Knox, you never cease to amaze me how easily you break songs down. Back when you only did rap songs, it was like, "Yeah, he's great at breaking these songs down, but this is the industry he grew up in. He knows everything about it." I always wondered how you'd handle rock songs. But once you started doing rock reactions, from the first song you did, you were just as incredible at breaking down songs completely out of your comfort zone. And as usual, you hit it out of the park with this one. You are my favorite breakdown reactor out there, and it's not even close. I used to group you with a couple of others. But you, my friend, are the best out there at breaking down any song out there, not to mention picking up the lyrics the first time (even heavy metal lyrics) im not trying to give you a big head. I just wanted to give you your flowers and give credit where credit is due.

She made this song because of her ex. The front singer from Seether called Shaun Morgan.
She was on one of their songs that really blew up called Broken. ( You should listen to that )
But because he suffered from mental issues, and his brother killed himself, so he was drinking a lot. However Shaun Morgan and Seether is a amazing band that does not get enough credit.
And often when people learn about it, it is with their song broken, and because of Amy being in it.
This song also reminds me of Within Temptations "What have you done" ft. Keith Caputo ( A rather famous singer )
Same sort of wipe. and both amazing bands.
    Also a small edit.
Mostly because I found it funny how you spoke about how she "Rise up" and "Rise over it" at the end.
Because Seether actually made a song called Rise above this. However it is not about Amy.
Its about mental issues and preventing suicide. It was released the year after he lost his brother to that.
And Shaun have since that done a lot to support places who help people who suffer from mental illness, and people who suffer from having lost people to it.
Performing at shows for free to support it, donating money and spreading awareness.
But was just a little fun you used those exact words" Rise above this ", considering Seether have a song called Rise above this, and Call me when you are sober is about the front singer of Seether.

It's such a great take on a breakup song and the lyricism really evokes a much stronger emotion than what we typically hear. Amy isn't' fawning over this person, the words are a big "f*** you, if you really want me actually be in it."
Also the production of this video is so, so good. The second chorus into the bridge is well done.

This is such a great song. I think next should be "My Immortal", then "Lithium", and then "My Heart Is Broken".

He's already done My Immortal, but yes, Lithium definitely needs to be on the list.

Evanescence is amazing I've seen them in concert Twice. 1st time was at 2017 Family Values tour Incredible show. And She /They were using borrowed equipment...... There equipment trailer went into Tennessee River while being loaded to come to Burkettsville PA show. They/She closed with a Solo Piano version of The Doors People Are Strange! Insanely badass cover of a iconic song From The Doors. 2nd time was Co Headliner of 1st Rock on The Range in Columbus Ohio.

Great analysis as always Knox! Id recommend Lithium for sure, also from tbis album. And from their self titled album either The Change, or My Heart is Broken or End of The Dream ♡

Seether’s “Breakdown” is his side of things. Amy and Sean dated for awhile and it didn’t end too pretty. But you should check out Lzzy Hale/Amy Lee “Break in.” It’s a duet masterpiece.

She had been in a relationship with the Seether lead singer, who was having alcoholism issues at the time, when this song was written. Awesome lyrics and vocal gymnastics

Qué excelente reacción. Es hermoso cuando alguien consigue romper la superficie y encontrar el significado profundo de una canción.

Man, I've really been enjoying your reactions to these songs that meant so much to me when I was younger!
Another suggestion would be Good Enough by Evanescence. I feel like it's one of their songs that's not talked about as much, but the message of that song really resonated with me through many years, and I feel like it's a song you'd enjoy a lot since you appreciate poetic lyricism and classical undertones.
Either way, hoping you can enjoy more from them!!!

ok, That was a great reaction and I loved the way you broke it down. Please react to more of their music, the older stuff is great and great to get us O.G evanescence fans in here but could you also do some of their newer music? Far from Heaven(hence my username), Feeding the Dark, Broken pieces shine, Lost in Paradise are newer and incredible and I don't really see many people do reactions to them.
