- My recording of the 3rd Piano Partita BWV 827 by Johann Sebastian Bach. As far as I know it is the first full recording of this piece in transcription for guitar. Originally written in a-minor I transposed it to d-minor in order to have a more convincing balance of the ambitus.. The recording was made on the 2nd of October 2015 at the Chapel of the beautyful baroque castle in Saalfeld (Thüringen). Many thanks to my great sound engineer Hans Ulrich Holst from Wachtmann Musikproduktion in Hamburg. The transcription is not yet editied.
I hope you will like it and it will give you the "Gemueths Ergoetzung" (recreation and pleasure of the mind) Bach had intended for musician and listener.

Proud to have been the student of such a master! This is the most perfect Bach on guitar ever! It is one of the very few stances, when the listener forgets everything about arranging, ornamenting and fingering issues - which are outstanding - and simply enjoys the music. Waiting for the 1st Partita to be shared in full, too!

Wow, what a jaw-dropping transcription and performance. One of my favourite pieces on my favourite instruments. I cannot understand why this video doesn't have hundreds of thousands of views. Thank you for doing this. It never ceases to amaze me how Bach is instrument-agnostic. Music in it's purest, most fundamental state.

Perfekt ausbalancierte Stimmführung. Bach würde es sehr lieben! Bei solch anspruchsvollen Werken fällt mir sehr ins Gedächtnis wie wichtig gut bearbeitete Fingernägel für das Spiel der Konzertgitarre sind. Ich habe dies vor einigen Jahren auf das Spiel mit den Fingerkuppen reduziert, auch weil ich in erster Linie E-Gitarrist bin. Im Alltag stören die Fingernägel leider sehr. Bereits bei etwas gröberen Handgriffen, aber erst recht wenn es darum geht, etwas Handwerkliches zu tätigen.
This is some unknown Bach for me. But then again, I'm not an expert. Very unusual and very gentle to the ears!

Normally not. Sometimes I use tape to protect my thumbnail, especially when I have to record many hours.

Meistens hört man diese Suiten auf die Laute gespielt. Auf die Gitarre hören sie sich auch geil. Persönlich, würde ich diese Suite ein bisschen schneller spielen ( wenn ich das könnte, lol ) - auf jeden Fall, ausgezeichnet.
Die 3.Klavierpartita hat noch kein Lautenist gespielt. Auch kein anderer Gitarrist.
