Dear music lovers! Please check out the recording of my new piece for gut string guitar and string quartet: th-cam.com/video/_45ZpfbKCt8/w-d-xo.html Thank you for your big support 😊
No other instrument has this sheer beauty of sound. I know nothing of guitar playing, but knowing these works on keyboard I imagine it's a serious technical challenge to cover all of the voices, as they can't possibly be idiomatic for guitar figuration. Yet nothing is lost here. Bach's solo works are so abstract, so universal, so ironclad in construction, that they seem to be able to survive transcription to practically any instrument, with the right player.
Simply watching Mr. Sudikowicz play is a clinic in the essentials of classical guitar technique. He has such quiet hands as no excessive movement or wasted energy is seen in his playing. Each finger seems to have a separate brain guiding it independent of the other digits but this ability comes with many years of disciplined practice. Fernando Sor an early 19th Century guitarist said, "Of all the compliments I like the one I like best is He appears to be doing nothing." This wonderful playing equally fits that description, great playing, of a great piece of music, rendered by a great artist, Thank you Blazej
I'm glad I found this. Bach sounds gorgeous on any instrument. But this arrangement and interpretation of the Bach's Op.1 No.1 is brilliant, beautiful, and wonderful. I hope Mr. Sudnikowicz has done or will do more Bach partitas and suites. Would love to hear some of the French Suites, which I am sure in his hands will be just as wonderful as this.
Superb. No theatrics, just a high level of musical artistry that allows the work to leap off the manuscript and just live. The guitar itself is a masterpiece by a Canadian guitar maker. Here we have two masters who have been hiding but quietly executing their craft. Now, here the two meet under the umbrella of music by Bach. Wonderful.
Wow - your performance nails the Bach feeling. The counterpoint is so strong, the tone so bassy and full, everything is in balance. Also it just has something special to it. You've set the bar high for modern guitar playing, thank you!
Mr. Sudnikowicz you've nailed one of Bach's many 'Six-Packs' with six strings! Absolutely brilliant! The counter point, smooth bass lines etc., With this you've opened up possibilities. I doff my hat to you Sir. Thank you for making the key board music of my favourite composer accessible to guitarists. Harry, India
When someone makes a difficult piece look so easy, that a clear sign of virtuosity. Fabulous, you nailed the mood. I can't express how much I enjoyed it. All the best for the coming future.
He didn't say it was easy - actually the opposite. He commented that the player made it look easy because it was so natural, so apparently effortless, and that this was a clear sign of just how good he is. Have to agree.
@@Queenmania2007 Yes being a great player is a clear sign that you - 1 - is/are - a Virtuoso good. Fancy that ! Its like Menachem Begin, or something like that, said, "If they refuse to live as we dictate that is a sign of rebellion" Yes, water is wet !
This the best playing and tone I've ever heard, just flawless and he makes those seven fret stretches so effortless, so relaxed, with perfect timbre, his hand remind me of Allan holdsworth, he was born to play this instrument, I mean just alien like fingers, that seem to play impossible contrapuntal lines. I'm blown away. the interpretation makes you forget he is playing a guitar. You've raised the bar to an impossible height.
This Błażej is brilliant, no other word for it. Agree w/ many comments that he brings to Back a concept fresh, clear & strong, intellectually & emotionally. He gives a sense of having a relaxed & responsive conversation w/ a treasured friend in this partita. His transcription, not least, shows a mastery we might expect of a much older artist. We have a blessing in recent years of the heavens raining down upon us incredible new musicians, spiritual & sensory manna, call it - & their unique interpretations of masterpieces, that do complete justice to those works & to the greatness of the composers. Guitar-centric that I am, it is a point of special gratitude that I feel we owe to these guitarists particularly, & to whomever is responsible in each case for these TH-cam productions. Could one possibly arrange to travel to all the venues of these recitals, for a live experience?
dude...if i look away from the video, i swear someone is playing the lute harpsichord just because your counterpoint is so sharp, i gotta look again to make sure its a guitar!
While I'm expecting to be hearing more Bach being played by this promising young talent one day, I've been listening to this piece about a thousand times in the last few years. Thank you so much!!
I raise a glass to: JS Bach, Blaséj, the sound engineer, the videographer. I’ve heard many versions of this, but this is a profoundly beautiful performance of profoundly beautiful music.
One of my favourite interpretations on TH-cam. Great phrasing, great sound, great understanging od Bach's music whom I love deeply. Congratulations my friend.
I keep coming back to this recording… it is such a tour de force🤯 the way you can do those positively impossible fingerings while still keeping such a lightness of touch and sweetness of tone… it’s just mind blowing.
Wow! I have loved JSBach forever, but this is something extra special. I don’t know whether I fell in love more with the performer, the instrument, or the composition... All three together are irresistible! Thanks so much for uploading and sharing your gift. ❤️😍🎼🎵🎶👏🇮🇪☘️
I've already commented on this recording - but it's so outstanding - here we go once more ;) . The peace, the breathing in the phrasing, the singing of the melodies, the technique brilliantly clear and extremely sensitive ....not to mention that Bach has a divine spirit of his own that reduces me to tears anyway. Of the quarter million replays of this recording, around half a percent must definitely be on my account.....A dream would be to hear an interpretation of all Bach works available for lute or transcribable to guitar by Blazej !
This is exquisite, flawless, I was transported. Beautiful technique, dynamic rendering/rubato, and that guitar sounds magical in your hands. Bravo Maestro.
My absolute favourite performance! I keep coming back and am always in awe of this incredible performance. Kudos also to the audio and video team. Brilliant!
Bravissimo !
The awesome transcription of a piece rarely played on guitar , like the Busoni 's chacone or the Marcello 's concerto on keybord, it's a masterpiece , Bravissimo Blazej
a superlative performance with astonishing details technically as well we musically. In the end though I always ask myself with transcriptions such as this one, if I'd want to hear this composition (a favorite Partita) in this version again... I'd have to say that from the Sarabande on, this one and the remaining movements all would fit that criterion. The Allemande and Courante really are too "key-boardish" to carry the day - notwithstanding a best-of-class performance.
This is huge! I haven't been this amazed since I heard Zoran Dukic the first time. Such maturity. I hope you land a fat record contract and record it all!

You expressed beautiful, I’m studying Bach on guitar now, and each part of it is an adventure
Very difficult very gratifying
that guitar looks like a dream to play
Keeps coming back to this.

This is the finest example of Bach on guitar that I know of. I've tried to arrange this suite for 10 years now.
Thx for this beautiful performance and clear sound of this music of Bach it made my day starting happy.
I loved Courante played by this guy. I could listen it many times
It sounds so authentic as if Bach meant it for guitar. Great arrangement and performance.
I cannot imagine how many times he has been rehearsing this piece!
Remarkable- I will keep coming back to this. The clarity of the voices is incredibly clear.
Speechless. You brought classical guitar to a another dimension
This young man has done an excellent job of playing the guitar. Wish that I had learned to play the guitar at his age.

By hearing this I think that the classical guitar future is guaranteed. Thank for sharing...
as someone else said before me, the clarity of the voices is amazing

An Amazing Performance!!! ..
Sometimes a performance just stands out from the rest, and this one certainly does, wonderful!
I love this because I just don´t hear great guitar playing , but really hear the spirit of the music !!!!Bravo Blazej !!
it's great guitar playing as well!
How sweet it sound
Bach played beautifully on the most beautiful of all instruments, the classical guitar. Excellent performance!
The Corrente ... Unbelievable... a totally new vision of this... blown away.

This is one of the most natural performances I have ever witnessed, wow. Think a lot of people would like to hear your play.

why you think that is easy??? You have never played guitar

Gratulacje Błażeju za rozszerzenie repertuaru bachowskiego na gitarę i piękne wykonanie!

Best guitar playing I have heard! Very fluent and musically expressive. Genuine artistry and masterful technique!
Wow, I have just discovered him. A wonderful Player!!!
I first saw you as part of the Sedina Duo. Both of you play guitar so wonderfully! Nice to hear you solo. I wish you all the best! God bless ~ Jerry
Naprawde piekna interpretacja w spanailym wykonaniu!

Wydaje mi się, że to pierwsza transkrypcja partity na gitarę, na którą się natknąłęm.

Sublime. Thank you for making my evening special.

Amazing! Very well-played and good transcription! Bravo!
