✨Free Pattern - Midnight Waffle Cardigan - forthefrills.com/oversized-waffle-cardigan-free-crochet-pattern
Check out the free crochet sweater pattern! It has all the sizing info (sizes XS - 5XL), measurements, yarn amounts and alteration instructions ☺
Large size please
I made this into a long duster cardigan. I wanted a long wool cardigan but they cost so much so it was cheaper to make my own. I used Patons worsted wool. I made the cardigan 45 inches long so my starting chain was 167 stitches which ends up being 166 working stitches. It worked perfectly. I used 2,330 yards of the worsted size 4 wool yarn and did not do pockets. It’s my first crochet garment besides hats scarves and gloves. Thank you so much for a great tutorial. It looks how I wanted it to. I made invisible button holes from another TH-cam video and cut buttons off an old duster cardigan. My only complaint is that sewing the ribbing on was difficult and doesn’t lay flush with the body of the cardigan. If it continues to bother me I’ll cut it off and resew it.
Did you follow the same instructions for chaining for the back
Have you thought of crocheting it instead?
That is a very nice carnigan. Your instructions were very good and I really liked having no music to distract one from concentrating on what you were saying 🎉😊 I cannot wait to make one. I am starting today
Loved this finished it a good fit and is lovely and warm , first bit of clothing . Thanks for sharing I love it!!!
One of the best pattern tutorials I have ever seen! Thank you 🤩
Love this sweater pattern! I found the fabric too loose for my liking so I made an adjustment. I alternated both loops, back loop which created a sturdier fabric. It created a lovely pattern and still provided plenty of texture and drape.
Just finishing up the pockets for this item. I've always loved the HDC so this was perfect for me. It's not my first wearable that I've crocheted but it's one of my faves! Very easy to do and works up quite quick. Thankyou for sharing
πολύ ωραίο απλό και πανέμορφο!μπράβο κι σε ευχαριστούμε που το μοιράστηκε μαζί μας !

It's good to have you back! Thank your a new amazing tutorial 😊💖
I love this so much! I can’t wait to make one for myself, I’m a teacher and this would be perfect! Thank you!
@forthefrills i love yoyr video and its easy to follow. I have done the sides and back of cardigan but its shorter then i'd hoped. How can i make longer without starting all over? Please help x
Thank you, this is a great easy pattern...this is my first cardigan!
Thank you! I enjoyed making this and actually made it longer. My co workers loved it!
Did you have any problems with the cuffs?
Hi there, i am almost done with mine, just want know how i can put holes for buttons in the neckline. It was so easy and fast to make it. Thanks

I made my very first cardigan ❤ thank you so much!!
It's beautiful very nice pattern 👌 ❤
Such a beautiful cardigan! Welcome back ~ it’s been a while! ❤
What a beautiful design. I just purchased the pattern. I can’t wait to get started!! Thank you!!
Love this want to try it in a 5x. Does anyone know how to add a hood?
Absolutely gorgeous can't wait to get started on it!
YAY, glad you're back! :D
I love how you tell us how many chains are left in total. Because honestly I get confused a lot of time.
For larger plus sizes, would you recommend using foundation hdc instead of chaining to form the arm holes? I don’t like my sleeves to feel tight or binding around the arm hole, and a foundation hdc would give more stretch, but would it be too much stretch and lose durability? Or mess up the count or construction in any way?
Really beautiful cardigan! Thank you so much
What an awesome pattern!😍Love it! Thank you💜
Sorry to bother you but are you the person with whom I sent several replies about this pattern when it was first posted? I can’t seem to find the comments we posted. I remember her name started with an N.
@@veronicasiefert1226 hi, no that wasn’t me, sorry😊
Ok. Thank you. I don’t know too much about how the comments on TH-cam work but the one I replied to has disappeared. Have a good night.
Thank you. Great tutorial.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful work
Hey I really like the way you explain each step I'd like to learn how to make a crochet mesh top with detailed explanation so it gets easy to make so if you really could upload a video...I'd be really happy
Hola maestra!!... Que gusto volver a ver un tutorial, nos dejó mucho tiempo, deseo esté perfectamente!! Muchas gracias y ya no nos abandone tanto tiempo ! Jeje, saludos!!💐👏👍🫂
Would a 5mm hook work if you don’t have a 6? Really wanted to start this then Realized I have everything but that size for some reason 😭
Parabéns. Lindo trabalho.
could you use a different color for the ribbing (not just the neckline) ?
Thanks 4 sharing ❤
well that video left a strange flavor in my mouth. not a goof lol
So beautiful
how many 100g yarn did u use for this project? Planning to make this as a gift for my mom. Thank you so muchh!!
Hello I brought 4 jumbo bundles for my sweater I'm making so far I only used one, I depends on the size🙂
Welcome back 🙏🏼🙏🏼
I’m having trouble joining the ribbing to the cardigan. It just doesn’t look very neat. Any suggestions or videos on how to add the edge the edging the ribbing?
Çok güzelolduellerinizesaglik iyi gunlerde giyin 👏👏👍
I am a tad confused with the written pattern I purchased. The size of the back panel doesn’t seem to to go with the two front panels. For example, the first cardigan I crochet was a large, front panels 24 rows per panel, it called for 33 rows for the back panel, so my front panels over lapped the back. I added 15 More rows giving me 48, the neck is still super snug . Perhaps I am reading the pattern wrong. I am more a visual then a pattern reader. Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.
Would like to know how many balls for a zise M please ?
Can I use Lion brand wool ease yarn
great explanation, thank you ❤

Can you please tell me how much of yarn did you use like how many grams or maybe kgs? I'm new into this so it would help me to start..
Is. This cardigan can XL wear?
how can you tell if you have approximately 50 rows for the back panel? ive tried counting it multiple times to try and figure out where I need to start the next front panel.
Love this pattern and it's been so lovely to make. Just one problem, not too sure what I'm doing wrong me cuffs are far too wide not tapering in. Just wondering if anyone else has had this experience. Or could give me any advice. I have retried them a couple of times even tried using a smaller hook. Would be so grateful of any advice. I can't wait to wear it 😍 it's my first project 🥰
I had the same experirnce and fid my own sleeves
I would love to post a pic- I did my own sleeves for
@@evangelinewatkins3275Thanks so much for your reply. I've been thinking of doing cuffs separately first and working it back from the cuff. I'm new to this but I'd love to see yours. Thanks again
Had the same problem, then noticed that the pattern uses slip stitch when finishing the row (the cuff part), then HDC when starting the next row (heading up the cuff toward the rest of the sleeve). So the cuff rows alternate one row slip stitch, one row HDC, one row slip stitch, one row HDC, etc. Do cuff stitches in back loops only, in order to get the ribbed look. Hope this helps.
Love it , I need a medium-sized, 😁
How many rows did you do exactly for the ribbing around the front of the cardigan?
How many balls of yarn did you use? And how many grams altogether?
Really nice

Instructions are way too fast for a beginner
As someone who is teaching themselves to crochet, I just have to rewind and watch some parts a few times to understand it.
I use the 'settings' icon to slow down the playback speed. It is the little cog symbol (usually at the bottom of videos).
O Hayah, our Master, how excellent is Your Name, in all the earth, You Who set Your splendour above the heavens (Psalm 8:1) ! // SHLM & HaB (peace & love). The Name of the Creator is Hayah asher Hayah, as what He told Moshah (Exodus 3:14), preserved in the Hebrew Scriptures. There is a curse to the G-o-d name (Isaiah 65:11-12), preserved in the Hebrew Scriptures. All followers of the Messiah are to do the 7 appointed times (Leviticus 23), but no more animal sacrifices, following the Crucifixion of the Messiah. We are now of the order of MLK TSDQ (King, righteous), to Whom ABRaHM tithed. Ask the Messiah to be your personal Savior. He said to him, I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me (John 14:6). ...for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of Hayah (Romans 3:23). The wages for sin is death but the gift of ALaHYM is Everlasting Life through Messiah Yahushgh our Master (Romans 6:23). That if you confess with your mouth the Master Yahushgh and believe in your heart that ALaHYM raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved (Romans 10:9). He Himself is an Atoning Offering for our sins, and not for ours only but also for all the world (1 John 2:2). The Messiah died on the cross, & Resurrected three days later (presenting Himself as First Fruits to the Father). Please ask Him to be your Savior. He is the ONLY way to Everlasting Life.

It's lovely but it's not waffle stitch
In the written instructions, it was touted as 'crushed waffle stitch.'
You say that the FREE pattern is available, but when you follow the link is NOT free at all. I don't object to paying, but why the lie ?
The pattern is free. You have to scroll down. It says so if you read in the beginning
It is free but you have to scroll through the advertisements to get to it. I copied what’s below from the instructions that are free. NOTES:
*Sample is a size small shown on a 5’3” model with a 32” bust.
*The sizing guide follows size XS(S, M, L, XL)(2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL). E.g. “Ch 91(95, 95, 95, 95)(99, 99, 99, 99) means Ch 91 for XS, Ch 95 for Small, Ch 95 for Medium, Ch 95 for Large, Ch 95 for XL, Ch 99 for 2XL, Ch 99 for 3XL, Ch 99 for 4XL and Ch 99 for 5XL.” If there is only one number, it applies to all sizes.
