Thank you for saving my hair in general, I’m recovering from really bad DevaCurl damage, but I needed someone like you to talk about products so thoroughly. I commend you on taking care of all of us
I started using Noughty at the start of my curly journey and haven't stopped yet! Love the Intensive Care leave in, the detox clarifying shampoo and the Pumped Up stuff!
I would love to see some fragrance free brand reviews for those of us with sensitive noses and skin! If you can find any! Would also love to see a video that goes through the Curlsmith lines to describe fragrance. Also, when reviewing lines if you would describe the actual fragrance such as, “citrusy”, “floral”, etc instead of “really good” or “lovely” I would appreciate it. I am allergic to some fragrance, particularly anything flowery, and it’s sometimes hard to find descriptions of what things smell like. It would give me somewhere to start to look for things that may work for me. Thanks for the great content!
I've watched so many of your videos and how you talk about how your current hair journey has made you learn to love yourself and your hair more. After looking at images from this past weekend where i did a basic wavy hair style i finally thought i looked pretty. Got the first time in a LONG time! Especially since I'm only a year postpartum. Thank you so much for being a huge factor in helping me find that love for myself and my hair too!
I tried the primer spray as a refresh on day 2 post wash day and I really enjoyed the hold and the shape it gave. I also have fine and shorter hair like you
Yay, this is my favourite hair brand! I absolutely love the smell of them, the curl cream and the hair masks are my favourites. I had some issues with the conditioner and shampoo feeling producty but they still gave nice results.
Thanks for the great video! Are you planning on reviewing Twist by Ouidad? I just recieved the weather up primer and gel and the hair oil. I can't wait to try them on my next wash day and I'm curious on your thoughts!
Hi Courtney from the UK, thanks for the great video. I love the noughty to the rescue range & use the intensive care leave in after shampoo/conditioner then air dry, which amazingly gives me a cast. The serum from the to the rescue range is brilliant & controls frizz on my coarse low porosity hair. Don't like the gel though.
I like the spray to lightly refresh, and the intensive care leave in is lovely. The shampoo gave me sore red lumps all over my scalp though 😔 I've got the mask to try yet!
Thanks for trying this product. I saw it at Target and wondered how it would work. Would you consider trying OGX Locking + Curls Decadent Creamy Mousse? I have used it for years while I was straightening my hair(no idea why I used a curl mousse to straighten) and was so happy to find it is CG approved and I could keep using it when i started CGM a few weeks ago... I really love it, but it is pretty strong hold. I'd love to see you try it and see what you think of it.
I agree with the editing Courtney about the amount of leave in and gel you applied (these were waaay more than you usually use; low porosity anyone? 😉) but that was VERY educational, i.e. different amounts of the same product(s) will give you different results! It seems that this line agrees perfectly with your hair. Day one was 👌 and day two was elongated 👌😁
I love the Noughty Wave Hello Curl Defining shampoo, Curlsmith Bouncy Strength Volume Foam, Austin Miracle Curls 2nd Day Curl Activator (as a light leave in conditioner), Austin Miracle Curls Curl Refresher ( activates curls), then Noughty Hey Curl Scrunching Jelly. My wash day is in that order which gives my hair not only good hold but great volume without the frizz.. I have fine, wavy/curly low porosity hair. Most conditioners and curl definers are too heavy for my hair except Color Wow Dream Cocktail Carb- Infusion Thickening leave in treatment. I only use it if my hair gets dry or after coloring.
Glad you tried a one product wash day with Noughty! It's the only affordable line I can get here in Belgium, so I've been using them for a couple of months now (haven't tried the curl gel though). Altogether happy about the results. My hair is curlier than yours but, thanks to menopause, nowhere as thick! I get soft, well defined curls but they fall after a couple of days. I think that says more about my hair than the product, but maybe the future will show otherwise! Right now, come day 3-4, I have to thoroughly wet my hair and reapply my stylers, but I think that's OK!
@@Rose-id9sj it's definitely worth trying it, especially since right now it's on promo with free shipping! 😉 My hair is mostly 3A, with some 2B and 2C, rather thin with a medium texture. I don't have the budget to spend big on my hair care products, thankfully Noughty does a good job for me at a reasonable price!
She gets away with way too much my hair could never look this good brushed dry I only brush it before and after I wash it with conditioner. I never brush my hair in between washes it always loses it's pattern when I do.
It’s because: 1: She has fine hair (A.K.A she doesn’t have a huge amount of hair) 2: The way you brush makes a difference. You hair might become static (trust me I’ve had this problem…) because of a couple reasons. One reason is that you need to be more gentle, the other reason is your hair has to be healthy which Courtney hair definitely is!
I was disappointed with Noghty. Tried every possibly combo and different styling techniques. Far too heavy on my hair and no hold. I gave it away. Glad you enjoyed it
I don't like the Noughty To The Rescue conditioner. It has very little slip and is hard to detangle my hair with. I don't know if I got a bad batch or if that's just how it is. Also it isn't all that moisturizing and my hair feels very dry on day 2 and 3.
I don’t know if it’s my products or the CGM but my hair is getting worse & worse. Everyone said it takes awhile but I am starting w level 2 porosity hair & have never bleached my hair & have taken care of it for a couple years. My hair looks fried. The frizz is not normal poofy frizz. My hair dries & feels like a Brillo pad. 6-7 wks in. Use not your mothers shampoo alternated w as I am cowash. Condition w hairitage, curl talk, or raw sugar healing masque. Stylers are (not all at once just ones i have) curl talk mousse, Aussie instant freeze, kinky curly knot today & curling custard, curls creme brûlée whipped curl cream
Have you considered you may not like the products you are using? Try changing them. Or your protein to moisture balance is way off and you have gone too far in one or the other direction. My hair feels like a Brillo pad when I have too much protein.
hellooo im early for once.. do you know any curlfriendly hairdos? since my cgm glowup im wearing it the same way almost everyday and its getting a little boring !
Do you have any tips for preventing monocurls? I feel like I have great clumps and then as the day goes on they merge together and no matter how many times I break them up, they find their way back to each other
Hey Courtney! Thanks for the review! Have a question, my curls are normally 3a curls, my hair has been getting longer, and recently it's been just wavy curly, do you have any tips on how to get your curls to bounce back up without cutting/trimming it?
@@sophiablank325 thanks, I would love to do layers in my hair, but haven't been able to get it to look like layers, I think I'm afraid of cutting too much off😂. And I don't go to the hair salon or anything like that, I usually just find someone I know to cut it for me.
Would you have considered your hair high porosity before/when beginning your curly journey? I think my hair type is super similar to yours (it's fine, high(ish) density, 2B, natural colour same as yours). But, I have bleach in my hair, and I think that's what makes it high porosity currently. I am feeling so disheartened about how long it's going to take me to grow out the bleach because I'm thinking I won't really get very good results until that happens. At the moment my wash day's end up looking pretty much exactly like what yours did at the beginning.
Please show me how you get your hair to dry perfectly in front. Do you use root clips? My hair has weird wavy roots and it is not pretty. Do you use a comb to smooth it at the root?
This is off topic, but what would you say your hair color is? Dark blonde or light brown? Also, I love your videos they have helped me with my own hair so much!!
Yes, this is my natural color. Honestly it changes how it looks depending on what lighting I’m in. Indoors it’s a really dark blonde. But outside in bright sun it turns Honey/copper colored.
@@SwavyCurlyCourtney Thank you for answering my question. You inspired me last year to stop dying my hair, my natural color looks very similar to yours! I love your hair!
I’m not sure by what you really mean but.. instead of a normal pillow case you could sleep with a satin scarf or a satin pillow case this can prevent breakage:)
Any tips for people with fine AND thin 2b hair? Have been using the Suave Professionals natural hair shampoo and Cantu conditioner, which I love, but I can't seem to find the right stylers or leave in. The Cantu curl activator cream is too heavy for a leave-in but not enough hold on its own; the Ouidad Out of Thin Hair cream worked great when my stylist used it on my hair, but it leaves my hair frizzy and no curl when I use it, and the gel I have from ages ago, John Frieda go Frizz Ease still leaves me with frizz, and my hair is wonky on day 2 even with a satin pillowcase and satin bonnet.
Have been wanting to try Kerotin, because I also have a bald spot due to years of chemo- type drugs, but scared to make the investment since taking Biotin supplements hasn't helped me.
I have very fine, but dense wavy (all the 2s) hair and usually just use a curl mouse, either pantene or got to be twisted. However I've just discovered the inky list. The curl cream is brilliant, my waves are super bouncy and some pieces round my hairline could b called curls. I've also tried a bond building spray and flaky scalp treatment that live up to their claims, so the hair loss treatment might be worth a try.
I have fine and little amount of hair as well and 2b. I tried the cream of nature hair snot.. the first gel that gave me a cast and my waves came out so pretty ! I use the Yari green curls shampoo and conditioner and as a mask the hydration elation from as I am. On second or third days I brush my hair.. (shame) and make it damp again to get rid of any wonky bits
