I tried your suggestion for more water when brushing through a mousse and it worked really well. I love the simplicity of one styler and I got great definition whilst still being soft and voluminous. Thanks Hanz ❤
Hi Hannah another good tip, and for when you want a different hairstyle to make things more manageable. Especially if your doing a work out, tidying up your home or just cant be bothered to curl style your hair. Once you have washed your curly hair, put a bit of curl cream in it and brush any knots out. Then you can either plat your hair into two pig tails, or one normal single plat hairstyle. So then this will be good to reduce knots for your next washday, and its also a totally different hairstyle for a change! If you want you can try this, and even do a video about it, please let me know if this helps for you.🥰
Wow great results from a simple brush style & one & done. I’m still transitioning so I’m doing all kinds of things, but this routine is truly my ideal. I have 2 mousses/foams I like but haven’t tried them on their own yet. I was wondering if as your hair improves or u get your curls back, just a mousse or one styler will get you definition like this? 😅Maybe wishful thinking as I get ready for another long brush style sesh to activate…
Well said Hannah because sometimes people can't afford expensive things. 💖Maybe next video you can do a video on more up to date expensive products to treat your self occasionally!? You have beautiful hair 🥰
Over the pond i hear there are some great low budget options. However America has major inflation problems so Im fortunate I have a stash of hair products that I love.
I think it would've been useful to see how long this lasted and then compare that to a high end/ mid range routine and just generally see with which one you can have to refresh the least throughout one week.
Great idea for a future vid! I have a couple of shorts where I’ve used this mousse and shown day two results that you can refer to for now though. For stronger hold I always use a gel or hairspray on top. And for me I do need to refresh more when I use products with less hold like a mousse.
I watch alot of curly you tubers who test budget products and show us how good they are but they are using the budget products once, on healthy hair thats been treated with lots of expensive freebies for years. A real test would be for the curly you tuber to use only budget products for 6 months and then see how their hair is doing. I do not mean this in any disrespectful way as I appreciate vloggers trying products but I do feel it isn't a true representation of how they are used by us (the viewer) if it's all we can afford week after week. Hope that makes sense and no offence is taken.👍
I totally understand what you mean and can only speak for myself, but I personally have always used budget friendly products on my hair, and even though some of my fav stylers are now higher end ones, I've continued to use budget friendly products regularly throughout my journey. My fav shampoos have continued to be high-street ones, for example. Many people find that once their hair gets healthier (through getting rid of damage and stopping straightening it etc.) more products tend to work for them. My main finding with budget friendly products is that they're often less concentrated than higher end products, meaning you need to use more of them, it's not necessarily that the quality of the product is bad.
go to abbey lee's channel. she's been using drugstore products for years and her hair is thriving. nothing wrong using cheap products as long as you know what you're doing
Nice video. Unfortunatelly I'm unable to use the vast majority of drugstore products - I react to some ingredient(s) - so it's cheaper not to buy the whole shelf to see if anything works... But still enjoy watching these videos!
I’ve seen loads of dupes on Amazon and eBay for the Bounce curl defining brush. They look identical and are a fraction of the cost. Would love to know if you to anyone else has tried any of them and how they compare. Thanks
I haven't tried them (have the original BC), but of the dupes I've seen on curly pages there are some similar (ish) looking and some horrendously cheap rip offs. Couldn't comment on usage only look but seems very hit and miss

Oh yay, so great to hear it worked!👌
Dove Curl Mousse is actually FANTASTIC 👌👌

Could you try product affordable available in the US or give other options to to this brand in the video? We don't have that store or product.
Very helpful!!! Thank you!
Great video! Could you try out the boots curl cream and curl mousse? I’ve always wondered if they’re any good✨
Definitely, will add to the list!

Where is your bathrobe from? I love it!!
I got it from Amazon! I’ll add a link to the video description 😘

You could use coconut oils in a whipped cream with lavander oil
creamed coconut oil

Interesting! Will have a look!
I second this!! Would be really interesting 🫶
I've seen & bought even cheaper dupes on Temu. I haven't seen a dupe for the Bounce Curl brush, but I bought a dupe of the Wet brush.

Don't bother. The picture may look exactly like the Bounce Curl brush but what they actually send you looks nothing like the real thing.
Interesting but never heard or seen these products in any store here in the u.s.
Aussie is also not a bad cheaper friendly hair product. I brought them in Aldi.
Lacura is also a cheaper budget friendly hair product!
Oh yes I’ve heard great things about those too! Need to pop to Aldi!

Do you find Pixie diffusing takes a looooooonnggg time? I want to do it but never have the time hahaha
You can just do it until your curls have set! I posted a TH-cam short on pixie diffusing recently xx
Which dryer do you normally use?
The Curlsmith one is my go-to these days, it’s in my hair routine video from earlier in the month and linked in the description of that video x
BTW DIY MOOSE is Whipped vegetable mass, creamed oil of vegetables.
SALT VINEGAR and Whipped eggs! MILK-Butter! And wash
Sounds like that would attract some flies to the hair 😂
I hate the idea of washing my hair clean and then adding layers of product on top. But my hair doesnt mind.
