I have watched video after video of the LFA and it NEVER ever gets old. Never seen one in real life. What I wouldn't give to see one, hear one...or drive one

The LFA is peak ICE performance car. As mentioned, along with the Carrera GT. But given the choice I’d probably pick the LFA over the CGT.
I’m a Porsche guy but I would take the LFA V10 as well. Sorry about the sacrilege to CGT 😢

The build quality of Lexus has always been good. You add that V10 soundtrack and you've got one hell of a car. Now lets be having that F50 !!!
Toyota hired Yamaha (they also make instruments) to tune the intake and exhaust system acoustics and how they interact with the cabin. That's why it's glorious both in and outside.

I still remember the first time I heard one of these things go! It was up a street in the cbd of Brisbane, Australia. The owner had this and his One-77 out for a drive and the floored the two cars! The sound of both was just something else.
Gentlemen, a titan of an episode here…..actually not really an episode more an immersive experience! I’ve always been a Ferrari fan boy, but holy mother of god is that a pant wettingly awesome sounding engine. I’d say this is up there as one of the greatest Car Guys videos, alongside anything with the Talbot in it😂😂😂😂

Fantastic. Nothing beats a high revving naturally aspirated engine. But this is simply intoxicating. If I win the lottery, this would be in my garage. In white.
IMO the LFA is in the top three of best sounding cars ever. I think they bought in Yamaha to tune the engine sound because Lexus didn't want one note out of sync when it was revved.

All you really need is one of these.. and the F40. LFA Fantastic machine! To me that induction roar sounds better than the exhaust, amazing as that is.
I was at Kemble Airport when I think it was Andrew Frankel driving one of these on the runway. The sound is epic.
What a wonderful review 😎 that sound is something else. I also very much enjoyed seeing the Lexus branded hex screw at 16.58, when showing the reverse toggle, lovely attention to detail. This has just overtaken the Carrera GT as my lottery win car.

It appears there some styling carried over to the Lexus LC especially the step down design on the dashboard….. As for the car, one of the greatest ever produced and ONLY ONE car that sounds even better, and that’s the exuberant Gordon Murray V12 T50 ?? Nothing else…. What a treat we have here…… fantastic……

I bought my LFA #360 some 7 years ago - and I will never sell it. Sure, there are faster cars on the market today. But I have so far not tested any car that gives me more drivers pleasure than the LFA. Buy one now - and you will never regret it! 😊

The LFA looks so choice in gloss black.
If you were lining up for a cross country race through a few states or across a continent etc, no matter what you were in, there would be some nervous glances at the guy in the LFA sitting there like a Ronin waiting to savage the pack and brush aside lesser, more fragile, and troublesome brands.
Remember, it's a Lexus...it won't go bang.

Makes a compelling case for the V10 BMW M6 SMG, as many of us will unlikely drive, or even see one of these. Just keep 10 grand aside for servicing and fuel, per year! Bonkers content as always chaps.
BMW should not be in the same sentence with Lexus as the quality is worlds apart.That being said the LFA is in supercar status and every one of the 500 barring accidents will be around in a century.
@@kovilanmoodley7464 agree regarding quality. My point was one can be had for 1/100th the price of the other, and still give V10, sequential manual thrills, if that's the need.
Beautiful from ever angle with a level of refined engineering no one else can match. That’s what LFA is all about. If you want to get close to this type of car in your garage look no further than the Lexus LC500.

Well done lads...that was in my humble opinion, one of your very best films yet.
Loved all of the history of its creation, and the little details of the LFA.
Its a stunning car, and today it still sets such high standards, imagine what it was
like when they launched it back in 2009/2010.
One of the big plusses you didn't mention though, this car will still perform and work
without throwing a hissy fit and making the dash look like a Christmas Tree every now and
again, unlike a lot of other cars in this category.
Cars like the LFA, show that Japan can make spine tingling cars to rival, and often better,
those from the big European sports car manufacturers.
I believe Yamaha co-developed the engine with Toyota at the time as well.
Toyoda-san is one of the biggest saviours for today's petrol head.
Without his vision and willingness to push through cars like the GT/GR86, Supra (maybe not the best result),
GR Yaris, never mind the WRC and the WEC programmes...
Plus, he is willing to seriously look into other forms of powering cars, not just jumping onto the EV bandwagon.
The only way you might be able to top this one, is to get the keys to that F50....😉

There was mention of a heavy engine being a V10 but the V10 is the size of a V8 and the weight of a V6 I believe, it’s not a heavy engine! I heard they on another programme, it’s so good! 🎉
19:25 That delay was because the transmission was in the "comfort" mode, you can adjust it with a knob near the dashboard.
Also because it’s a single clutch 6 speed from 2010😂😂 all sports cars use dual clutch since 2013
