@Sniper No, he wasn't a nationalist. He may liked Hitler in the first years, but dissociated himself fast from his politics. He was a honorable man who was respected by the enemies as much as by his own men. And he would have definitely ended the war.
@@currywurst6267 Rommel probably would have sought a separate peace with the Allies to focus all forces on the Soviets. Valkyrie took place far too late as if anyone would have accepted less than unconditional surrender from Germany tho.

Just wanted to say THANK YOU ALEX for featuring my mod! Already had an impact, because I noticed you didn't get to see the coup message correctly, so thx for showing me this problem. Updated the typo ASAP, so when the message pops up after completing the focus there should now be a text, not only the button.
Please change the leader to von Stauffenberg! Rommel is just completely wrong.
@@XYZ-zn6qz Von Stauffenberg never intended to take any office in the new government. General Beck, who was something like the 'heart' of the military resistance, was planned to become 'Reichsverweser' temporarily, while Claus Goerdeler, leader of the conservative civilian resistance, would have become chancellor. I will add both as options besides Rommel with 0.2.
For Rommel, it was in fact planned he would become president...that is, until he refused to actively join the resistance. This is what got him killed. After the coup attempt the Gestapo found documents indicating he knew there was a resistance movement and they had asked him to join. As far as historians know Rommel never knew the resistance wanted him to become their figurehead, but he knew about the resistance and thus Hitler forced him to suicide.

* If US requested liberation of capitulated Allies nations, more decisions to release them in exchange of their support in Anti-Bolshevik War (they joins your faction)

Hey Alex, probably youre not gonna read this. But you can make Operation Valkyrie happen without the mod... kinda.... its more like why operation valkyrie exists....
Ive done it once without knowing about it! But it was before the the La resistance coming out, and I at the time, was playing with no DLCs.
Heres the tutorial, if it still works: Have Himmler in the office before the war starts and just play a historical Germany.
Give Himmler field command. Well dont kill the UK, kill France if you want, Dont declare on the soviets yet... Have a look on the political actions regarding "thee demands of the SS" or something of the sort. Now that you have looked at it, proceed with declaring on the Soviets but dont push too much, you dont want to kill them. Yet... Now click on the option to just get manpower off the SS decisions, nothing else besides "an auxiliary force" (the option with just manpower...)Click in all of them. Then wait for events that will suggest that himmler is preparing a coup de etat. Always trust Himmler! (Give him what he wants and send the generals do their job) This will make the SS take over possible. Then after some time you will get an event, and if you trust himmler on that one, you should get a national spirit of +40 consumer goods "the secret preparations". When it goes off Boom! Hitlers dead, Rommel or Goring is leading the country and basackly 50% of German cores, nothing else. Will turn against you at Himmlers command!
Now if you piss off the generals instead of the SS, you will also get a civil war in wich is kinda just the Focus of the german civil war.... No operation, no new leader... So if you could, try this out!

It's been a while but the mod has been updated to 1.12x, without any new features but I am working on that finally.

No, but he was accused of being part of it and forced to commit suicide. Rommel did plan to open up the western front in order to organise a swift capitulation of Germany to the western allies.
@@HerbertGaming nope, Ludwig Beck was to become president, Carl Friedrich Goerdeler as chancellor and and Erwin von Witzleben was to assume command of the armed forces as minister of defense and commander in chief of the Wehrmacht.
Rommel was a brilliant field commander, but had no eye for logistics.
