Quite true about waterproofs. I have a small yellow block, which is a folded up plastic rain smock and I have never had to use it; that is because I am never carrying it when it rains!

Splendiferous? I would say so , and beyond ! Thanks for an excellent review mentioning the small but important things that the "whizz bang" reviewers leave out . A handsome machine in "night fighter black" this is the one I would buy . Shaft drive is the icing on the 🍰 if you're doing long distances too .
I prefer to wear leathers but always carry thin waterproofs , how often do I stop to put them on ? ( It's just a shower , it'll pass - famous last words 🥴).
Oh by the way , thank you for not comparing the 🐯 to Erich von Stalheim's ghastly Teutonic juggernaut .
    Carry on Muttering !

    lovely bike.
The buffeting from the van, if you get closer enough to hang on to the bumper you reduce all buffeting and get great mpg :P
Burning question is; what would you call the 1200? :D

I tried the 900 and the 1200 yesterday, was not impressed with the 900,m but the 1200 was great, very different sound from the engine, from what I was used to, but the quick shifter was amazing, both up and down.

Interest, what 900 did you try? Was the gt or rally?

Be a great tourer traveling on American continent, but with such a high tourqe delivery to use 80% of the tourqe makes you wonder what town riding be like.Worth a test drive.I think BMW might do a shaft drive too but large capacity.
