Thank you for the shoutout Ryan! I was trying to go by memory of the frogger games you had so I apologize I gave you a duplicate! But I do love all the content you make so that means a lot you are still willing to keep it!
Thanks for your videos. I was needing something upbeat & happy (I’m finding a lot of TH-cam videos are moaning, being negative which really affects my mood) but I knew clicking on your stuff always makes me feel good. Appreciate it.
@@HarrisonList Yeah, I don't know what happend. People love to hate games and dog pile on to new "bad" games. For me, I just stopped viewing and reading shit when people just complain about games. People saying games have become shit, but I just Keep on playing better and better games..
Shenmue 1 & 2 are the greatest video games ever made. If you know the history, and you realise that Shenmue 1 was released at the end of 1999, not only were the graphics mind blowing, but also the amount of detail is staggering. Just one playthrough you won’t even have touched the surface of some of the layered details throughout. We’re even still finding unique things about the games even today. Yu Suzuki was a genius back then. I’m excited for you to experience them, it’ll take you to places you weren’t even expecting by the end of the second game :)…and then understand the pain we all went through for 18 years haha! Really hope you enjoy them Ryan! The remasters have a few little quirks and bugs that weren’t on the Dreamcast originals, like some strange music audio issues for certain tracks, unecessary extra compression on the VO…i’m sure it was an accident to double compress them for a Bluray disc haha. The PC versions have had some fixes from the fans, such as an audio restoration project, adding widescreen to the cutscenes, Shenmue 2 in particular display cutscenes in not just letter box but also 4:3 black bars, so considering all of the cutscenes are ingame engine, the widescreen mod really makes the whole game look incredible. If you do play on the PS4, just be mindful of those flaws in the remasters !
I started collecting again. Doing it while I’m young with no family of my own yet. I’ve cut out GC, DC, NES, SNES and Genisis. I’m fine with just emulating them with a retro usb controller for each emulator. All the PlayStation consoles, Wii and Nintendo switch is what i collect for now. I love retro games so much 🤤
Honestly for me I just pirate them bc legitimate copies in my country are like crazy expensive like 2 games equal 1 month salary and I live paycheck to paycheck
That’s fair point. We in the same boat too , I live in a third world country, so collection is hard. Ryan influenced me into collecting, so i have been blessed with a a few places that i can order games in fair prices.@@iamarabicandiloveamericanp7137
It was awesome running into you by chance at TMG! Super genuine and just made my day more than any of the cool things I snagged from any of the vendors or any of the events I was at. Really cool to finally see that CIB Pokemon Yellow you mentioned that you picked up too! Super super clean looking example of the game/box.
I've recently reflected and had the realization that I was collecting more than playing and paying dumb money for games that I KNOW I would never play. So, I've started selling on eBay and moving forward will only pick a game up if I have full intention of playing it.
PS4 and switch are my modern day ps2 and 3ds😅 outside of a few finished series I don’t have many ps2 games left it’s a very small collection compared to when I was a kid .
I'd love to see future Yu-Gi-Oh content from you, even if it's just brief unboxing or you having friendly match with Tyrell. Would be interesting I think.
Man, if it's expensive to collect retro games out there, you can't even imagine what it's like here in Brazil. I recently bought Castlevania SotN for PS1, I had to buy a version with a reproduction of the manual and inserts, with just the original CD, it was about R$400, as the complete version is worth about R$1500 (R$ is the Brazilian currency, R$5 = $1 ), and the average salary here is R$1500. That's what I also recently picked up Parasite Eve, without the demo CD precisely because it's cheaper. My collection is growing, but slowly and with sacrifices like repro manuals.
I love these pickup videos. Also the Sony PlayStation 1 unless you're going for rare games It's the most affordable retro gaming console out their these days. Thanks for sharing such amazing pickups. 1:12 very cultured moment. 6:13 Ah yes Pikadu the rarest of them all. Cool video. ^_^
I got my Baldurs Gate 3 PS5 copy a few days ago as well. So exciting! Glad I waited to play the game because it’s amazing. I refused to pay full price for digital.
Shenmue 1 and 2 are amazing. Hope you get to sit back and enjoy them soon. Shenmue 2 was the first one I played on the Xbox as a demo. I recently got back into playing and collecting PS1 games.
So cool Pokemon Yellow pickup. ❤ I got my near mint CIB copy 6 months ago for $200(2000kr) and I also have it in a acrylic box protector. 😉 Also I just got a near mint CIB copy of Pokémon Silver as well. ❤😊
Great job. When you realize it's just old plastic on a shelf, it's time to stop or slow doen. Emulators are the way to go if you want to play old games.
Always love collection videos! Just ordered the crazy expensive Alan wake 2 collectors edition so no more for me for awhile so I'll live vicariously through you
If you want yugi, kaiba, and joey's deck get the legendary duelist decks 2 i believe it is at target i got it a few weeks ago at a target for 30 dollars
Nice pick ups! Ryan is one of the best content creators on this platform. One of the nicest people on here. Informative. Knowledgeable. Keep up the great work and thank you!
Great additions to the collection! Was glad to see you with the Yellow! Still need that one myself! Was great seeing and chatting with you again man! Ps1 stuff you say? When are you gonna be like me and buy a Klonoa? Hmmm lol
Regardless of the quantity, it's still a great haul! That copy of Yellow is clean! I'm missing Yellow, Ruby and Blue myself, fingers crossed I'll find them someday!
It's awesome seeing people get back into yugioh and collecting cards. I use to collect yugioh cards but now I am not as interested into collecting yugioh anymore and thinking of selling my yugioh collection.
Same. I'm a physical girl and a collector regardless, but I've also put so much time into it so I absolutely feel like it was justifiable to double dip.
I remember 10 years ago, PS3, PS2, PSP games & movies were dirt cheap, now almost everything item is 10+. He’ll even consoles were cheap under 200 unless new and now try over 350+ to 400.
Adulting is telling yourself that you're done with disposable spending for the year... and then immediately dropping $150 on an R2D2 themed X-Box 360 (this may or may not be from personal experience) 😆
That mass effect legendary edition looks like it came out of a Walmart envelope. About a month ago Walmart had a sale and put that game up for $5. I bought it then thinking for a brand new copy it was a no brainer! My local game shop had the shenmue 1&2 for 19.99 and I thought about it but passed and bought a couple more cheeper games. Im on the hunt to pick as many of the cheeper PS4 as I can right now.
I worry with how many people somewhat spontaneously find minty unopened copies of this or that attractive game, where not even the plastic seal seems to have been touched, and place those games for sale :/
Hey Ryan! It was nice chatting with you at TMG on the last day! I didn't even know you were into YuGiOh! back then so it was cool we can talk about it as well. Also I finally got my 8tb SSD for my PS5 and now I have a spare 1.6tb for games lol. Pleasure meeting you!
I've done videos on buying way too many games and how it is a problem. I've been focusing more on just playing games now instead of just buying shelf fillers.
I think you are burnt out on collecting… I got the same with Pokémon cards. You take a step back and look at your room and you are like “wow, I’m a hoarder and need help.”

I haven't splurged on gaming either. No physical copies and no digital downloads. I downloaded Doom 1+2 yesterday. Come to find out I could have had it since I paid for the last Doom game I downloaded. I'm going to use this lack of spending as a way to save more money.

Ryan: video games are expensive and sometimes you have to be responsible
Also Ryan: I spent $600 on yugioh cards
LOLOL
And that's exactly why we love the guy
Ryan: It's not a lot for 5 months without buying.
Me: Spending that money in a decade

My friend: Gold? Or maybe diamonds? Company stocks?
Me: Video games 👀
Yeah; *POKEMON Diamond & Gold!*

You don’t want to play Poo Slinger on PS4??
Way I see it, if a person didn’t want a game when it was cheap then why want it now when it got expensive
@Fallen_Blade $60 isn't cheap, they may have been waiting for a sale that never came.

One of my favourite series on your channel. Keep up the good work Ryan

I thought that second to last box looked familiar considering I also ordered and waited for BG3 Deluxe to arrive
I got mass effect legendary edition from Walmart on clearance for $5 a few months back!!
its funny, with much as yours mario kart, i dont collect N64 either, yet ive got my quake 1 Mint game still standing tall. Its childhood in a box.
Still insane how much pokemon goes for. I remember getting them as a kid and just tossing the boxes. Still have most of my original games though lol
i always love watching these
I'm not gonna lie, if you guys decided to start a side channel that was all about cracking open Yugioh packs I'd watch the hell out of that
