Only thing I have that I know is rare (which technically isn't a game, but whatever) is the PS4 Steelbook for Persona 5 Strikers. Last I checked, the case alone goes for like $80. I also have a bunch of Genesis games that may or may not be expensive these days, never bother to check since I won't be selling them.
Last rare game I owned was Xenosaga Episode III for PS2. Got it secondhand from my brother’s ex-girlfriend alongside a few other RPGS for free (they were supposed to be borrowed, but they broke up and she never asked for them).
@@gracekim1998Peebs series about weirdness in video games, like Game theroy with with a more spooky vibe as he phrased it. But in the end he stopped because he didn’t wanted to continue due to not being interested enough.
Twilight Princess HD probably costs more than Wind Waker HD because it was released so late, while Wind Waker was a fairly early Wii U game. Wind Waker had 3 years to be on shelves, plus it had a Nintendo Selects rerelease. Meanwhile, Twilight Princess HD barely had one year to be on shelves.
My favorite item in the vid is that golden Gameboy camera. Not only is it a timeless OoT promo item, but the pics on there with you and Chadtronic show how priceless of an item that could be!!
As an avid survival horror fan growing up, I own games like the original Silent Hill games 2-4, Haunting Ground, Rule Of Rose, Fatal Frame 2-3. Oh, and Chulip. What's still a big pain is none of these games have seen an actual re-rerelease yet (expect the Silent Hill HD collection but one tends not to talk about those). I feel it's about time already. Even Chulip should be should be allowed to see the light of day again.
@@kinasakuraba Huh, had no idea it was in the PS3 store. But yeah, I love the game even though it's hell to play when you don't have a walkthrough. Very unforgiving game.
I was thinking the same thing! I sell on ebay and have gotten very excited to see the listing prices when I check item value, but when I go to see what's sold it's a fraction of whatever price the unsold listings are marked at.
Funnily enough shortly after watching your rip-off games video my brother was going through some loose DS games we have and he turned to me and asked "What is this?". My jaw DROPPED when I saw what game he was holding. It was Magician's Quest! I have no idea where it came from I guess my mom found it at a yard sale or something because I have no memory of buying it. She has a habit off finding some really good deals at yard sales like Paper Mario TTYD CIB for $3. I really should thank her.
Hey Peebs, not a lot of people know this, but Chibi-Robo got an updated port for the Wii with motion controls, but it never left Japan. Keep up the good content!
A couple of other Gamecube games got this treatment of rereleasing Gamecube games with motion controls with some additional content. Pikmin 1 &2 Metroid Prime 1 & 2 that was bundled with Prime 3 for the Metroid Prime Trilogy on Wii, Mario Power Tennis, and Donkey Kong Jungle Beat
@SuperRetro64 I think the reason why New Play Control! Chibi-Robo! never saw the light of day in other regions was because Nintendo saw how these versions, regardless of how definitive they were were not selling well so they didn’t see any point to giving Chibi-Robo! an international release. People often say that if it was rereleased in America then the little robot would have a chance of success, though I doubt it would since not only do you have the problem with New Play Control! not being successful but Chibi-Robo! was always being mishandled by Nintendo in America. The first game came out in 2006 when the Gamecube was a failed console, and Park Patrol on DS was exclusively sold at Wal-Mart, both games also BARELY got any marketing in the States just a few commercials in Japan.

It's such a small but imprtant detail and such a big step up from GameBoy years I had on emulator :) Ps. You almost saw me as Leon in these new Resident Evil games :)
Wow, I'm a little surprised that Twilight Princess HD is going for $100. I found the bundle with the game and the amiibo for about $25 on clearance at a rural Walmart while visiting a friend. The outer box was totally wrecked when I found it and it got thrown out. I also opened the amiibo because I wanted to use it.
I too admire the booklets. It was a treat to see you show them. I played Tunic a few years ago, the instruction manual in that game is so aesthetically pleasing and fun to me. I like the controls page showing the controller.
Very nice collection of rare games! I'm impressed you kept your games in such good condition like the boxed Super Mario RPG! I also had no idea Twilight Princess HD had jumped up in price. I had sold my copy years ago, but for relatively cheap! Oh well. 😅
The fact that Twilight Princess still hasn't come out for the Switch makes me cry. I've wanted to play it for so long, but I want to do it legit, and not have to get a friggin' WiiU just for that.
Hey Peebs, you could combine the eating and the gaming, by eating a video game console. That way everyone is happy. I doubt anybody would hate it. It would be a smash hit and it would be your top video. Although eating a DVD is a bit hard to do. And discs are super sharp. I find that it's way easier to just eat 3DS or Switch cartridges. They are crunchy and the teeth go through them with ease. Only issue with Switch games, is that they taste bad. I tried adding seasoning to them and they ended up tasting better. Also throwing them in with real food, helps with flavor as well. And throwing a cartridge into water and then trying to drink the water, doesn't really work. You end up choking on the cartridge. So don't try drinking them. But you could melt the cartridges into a liquid and then drink them like that. I haven't tried that, but it sounds like it would work. After all I did melt a N64 into a liquid, and I did drink it. That seemed to work perfectly fine. It was a lot of liquid that I had to drink, but I managed to drink it all.

fun how you're going through this as I'm finding time to expand my small library of games. Been a nintendo kid growing up with a DS that is now broken, a wii, a wii u, 3ds, and a switch and just bought a launch PS3 in 2021, considering in buying a 360 at some point. Currently the rarest/most expensive games I own are Silent Hill 2 and 3 on the PS2 which I've taken a recent interest in the series. I also have the physical version of Rhythm Thief which I've been wanting since 2013 back when I first played the demo on the 3DS and bought it on the eShop afterwards.
this was very interesting! i was surprised to see that i own a few of the games shown here. the part about the old zelda cd-i video was a nice blast from the past, especially seeing the old medli zelda month shirt (i still have mine) :D

Unrelated to the video but i just want to say that it’ll be a sad day for the world when you end up retiring from youtube. Your content has been consistently amazing and I’ve watched your stuff since the beginning! I love your content and your personality. Thats it.
It's kind of wild to me that the Japanese copies are so much cheaper given they are essentially the original ones. I get that people want to be able to read it, but from a collector's standpoint. To me it's wild. Also pretty much everything from there is fairly immaculate. I used buyee to get some nice stuff over the years and it would say lightly used or even non-functional and it would have like a single scratch on the side you could barely see lolol.
Peebs, have you considered playing and doing a video on Arzette: The Jewel of Faramore? Your Zelda CDI videos are a classic PBG highlight and it'd be great to see you check out a modern tribute inspired by those awful games.
I think with Twilight Princess the big appeal is that the majority of players got it for the Wii- copies for GameCube felt fairly limited, I don’t think I ever saw one in stores- and the motion controls, though not as bad as some games, still made the gameplay difficult at times despite it being a great game. Windwaker was exclusively GameCube so we had good controls the whole time and though the additions made to the re-release were great, it didn’t affect the overall gameplay from one system to the next.
I remember years ago I saw a copy of Harvest Moon SNES for $50 at an old game store that I begged my mom for, but she said no for whatever reason. I still don't own a copy and it hurts seeing how much it goes for these days.
I’m super stoked I was able to find a complete twilight Princess hd copy with a sealed amiibo for $100. A bit pricey, still, but a good amount cheaper for it
Good video I just have one suggestion. If you do another video like this when you just Ebay for the prices you should look at the sold listings to see what they are actually selling for. There is many games on there with crazy high prices that never sell. The worst is when a game store has a game that commonly sells for $30 but for some reason 1 or 2 guys have it listed on Ebay for $800. The game store sees that and slaps $700-$900 on it because "that's what it's going for on Ebay". I hope this didn't come off as a complaint, not at all just thought I'd let you know sold listings are a better representation of what things are actually worth. Thanks and again good video!
I've got a copy of Aero Fighters just sitting on my shelf. Got it in a SNES lot for $100 last year. Didn't even know what it was until I was listing everything on eBay. Screenshotted tf out of that marketplace conversation lol.
head in my hands when you showed off heartgold and soulsilver. i've been scouring the internet for AGES just so i could match my very own copy of soul silver to my sister's heart gold
As a longtime viewer, the Lego and food videos were a bit odd to see…but I ended up loving them as much as I do your game vids 😄 I’d prefer you just make the content you enjoy, because you having fun is what makes these videos enjoyable! (Honestly, the food videos gave me BrutalMoose vibes and I’m ALL for that! Both your channels, while still producing new content, always remind me of simpler, nostalgic times.)
PBG is that comfort creator that you break for a bit then come back huddled with a bowl of soup cause you enjoy his personality so much cause it sends you back when times wasn't as stressful.
This always reminds me of my huge handheld game collection I had spent years collecting when I was younger. I had the Pokemon Heartgold and a GameBoy Camera and several special editions of GB, GBC, GBA, and DS games. However, when I was moving from Texas my entire collection got stolen. Since then I've been reluctant to get back into anything handheld since it was such a massive loss.
I got my copy of Ribbit King at Best Buy for $20 and it is so much fun. And I think I got Wario for the WiiU for $20 on clearance at Target. Another fun game.
For the cardboard games, if i can get a box that'll be cool, but to actually shelve and collect/display, i'm using custom game cases. Plastic cases and in vertical orientation. Beautiful. Will be buying official manuals though.
I got lucky with Chibi-robo since goodwill had one and i kid you not it was near MINT...Whoever donated had taken VERY GOOD care of it...HOWEVER the manual was missing but the ad inserts were there.
I do miss the insert booklets in video games. They used to put more effort into things. Just like you, I used to take the booklets to school to sort of "remain" in that world for a bit. Mainly Halo CE, Halo 2 and Morrowind!
As much as I am sad to see manuals go, it makes collecting later Wii u and 3ds games so much easier, since i don't have to worry about making sure i got the manual.
I loved this video, but it also slightly broke my heart knowing how much it will cost to get back games I've lost over time. I used to have every pokemon game and bought a gamecube player and disk for $40 on ebay back in 2015. I lost a lost of it to a storage unit that was deemed "hazardous" for some oil that leak out, which was a knocked over bottle of oil 😥
fun fact peebs, you mention that you didn't think Chibi-Robo had been rereleased but it did get a rerelease for the new play control style of games on Wii except for some reason it only got rereleased in japan even though by now Nintendo had an english translation they could of applied to the Wii play control version. I'm pretty sure it's the only Wii enhanced control game that didn't release out of Japan. Nintendo treats Chibi-Robo so weirdly.
My most expensive games are Musha and Sunset Riders I believe. Maybe Zelda OOT Collectors edition. On the Japanese side Spriggan Powered or maybe Battle Mobile SFC. Very interesting selection you got.
I've got a few rare games. I'm pretty proud of my copy of Witch's Wish DS! Only missing the manual. Oh, and I have Etrian Odyssey I, Magician's Quest, and Hatsune Miku Project Mirai DX (but the box is in poor condition).
What’s the rarest game YOU own? :O

I think with Twilight Princess the big appeal is that the majority of players got it for the Wii- copies for GameCube felt fairly limited, I don’t think I ever saw one in stores- and the motion controls, though not as bad as some games, still made the gameplay difficult at times despite it being a great game. Windwaker was exclusively GameCube so we had good controls the whole time and though the additions made to the re-release were great, it didn’t affect the overall gameplay from one system to the next.
toasty roasting his boss through ironic editing
I remember years ago I saw a copy of Harvest Moon SNES for $50 at an old game store that I begged my mom for, but she said no for whatever reason. I still don't own a copy and it hurts seeing how much it goes for these days.
Chibi-Robo was rereleased on Wii...
In Japan....
I’m super stoked I was able to find a complete twilight Princess hd copy with a sealed amiibo for $100. A bit pricey, still, but a good amount cheaper for it
Great video! Always interested in collections! The Gameboy Camera pictures with Chad were great.
Dude your bit at 26:15 was one of the funniest bits of recent memory. Absolute bravo
I know I’ve missed your gaming content ❤️
I love how a solid chunk of this list was just a Greatest Hits of PeanutButterGamer compilation
PBG is that comfort creator that you break for a bit then come back huddled with a bowl of soup cause you enjoy his personality so much cause it sends you back when times wasn't as stressful.
My heart was glad to hear Harvest Moon SNES' music again.
Chibi-robo has been rereleased once as a Nintendo selects title for Wii. Only in Japan unfortunately
Thank god i took care of my old stuff. I'm still stitting on a pikachu edition yellow with the original box and manual in fairly good condition.
I don't mind the food videos, but it's nice to see you do more gaming videos again. ^^
Im glad I still have my heartgold cartridge. Shame kid me lost the pokewalker and didnt hang onto the box
12 years later and i’ll still watch you talk about anything lmao
Glad I found my GBA Game Cube adapter with disk at Gamestop years ago and was able to convince my dad into getting it. I have yet to see another one.
I got Twilight Princess WiiU collectors edition with the amiibo for like $20 on clearance. Knowing that I can quintuple my money is neat.
Daaang that sucks. Sorry to hear it. :(
@@Peebs it’s just stuff! But glad I could be reminded of what now seem to be relics. Thanks for reading!
If they brought back the books, I would buy my game physically >w>
fun fact peebs, you mention that you didn't think Chibi-Robo had been rereleased but it did get a rerelease for the new play control style of games on Wii except for some reason it only got rereleased in japan even though by now Nintendo had an english translation they could of applied to the Wii play control version.
Very interesting selection you got.
love your videos peebs, always brings good energy!
Peebs
You are awesome
Don't late haters tell you otherwise
I've got a few rare games. I'm pretty proud of my copy of Witch's Wish DS! Only missing the manual. Oh, and I have Etrian Odyssey I, Magician's Quest, and Hatsune Miku Project Mirai DX (but the box is in poor condition).
I have Witch's Wish as well, plus A Witch's Tale! :)
I actually sold my copy of Chibi robo for 400$ last year! I was surprised to see how much this game was worth
I want a peanutbuttereater channel that's just daily uploads of peebs eating a spoon of peanut butter now.
I love you peebs! Very good video, your home is a goldmine 😆
