Man, you have no idea how invaluable this video was to me. I'm redoing an '07 headliner, with another finish other than upholstery, but this was a HUGE help! Thank you!!
What did you do instead of upholstery? I was thinking of doing something similar. With 200k miles, I'm mainly just looking for a forever repair that never needs to be done again. LOL
I had a sagging headliner. A trip to the junkyard I found exactly what I was looking for. 40 mins removing it, and $20 at check out and 30 mins replacing at the crib. My problem was solved.
dude! I’ve been wanting to replace my headliner for a while, and put it off because of how much it was going to cost, but I decided to do it myself and this was such a huge help!
Honestly, for all of the materials and supplies you will need to do the job, it was maybe about close to 200 dollars which is totally worth it in my opinion
Just replaced mine in an 07 with this video as a guide. Glue from home depot and the upholstery from headliner magic, total cost less than $140, took 2 hours getting down and cleaned, then 4 more to re upholster and put back in. You were a big help, thank you so much for filming your work. Easy to see and easy to hear you, very awesome.
Thank you so much for this video. Saved me $500 - followed every step and my headliner looks perfect. I just recommend using gloves to work with the fiberglass
This is the best video for removing the headliner. If the glue sets up too fast mist some acetone on it, that will slow the surface tacking down for few minutes.
Thank you for showing this. Because my headliner is falling apart & I was debating if It was too much work lol, but it seemed easy enough for me to do as I have experience on working on cars lol.
Thanks for sharing. However, I would recommend: 1. loose the door seal, 2. remove A-pillar trim, 3. remove C-pillar trm, 4. loose the B-pillar trim, Headliner is supported by sunvisors, map lamps, dome lamp and pillars. By pulling hard without remove pillars trim, you may damage headliner substrate. Note: it's always seal over trim, not trim over seal.
I watched this to get an idea for my 8th gen accord. I added a sound deadening to the metal skin and an added a thermal layer in between the sound deadening and the shell of the headliner and it made a world of difference in the road noise.
You're technically great and have a natural flare for entertaining the viewer 😄 I need to do this job too and I'll have the confidence to get 'er done after watching your how-to. Thanks kindly for it!!
I just did the exact same thing tonight on the same car. :-) except I used my pressure washer to blow off that old foam backing. Worked great! Great video too!
Good job guys! In the past I went to salvage yards and with little good luck found a nice donor headliner took it off my car, took it off the salvage, put it in my car and boom repair done!!! pain the the butt!!! , Learned a new trick from you just now not to remove the plastic columns or pilars off completely those are no fun to mess with, clips always break
Thanks this was informative. My 2008 Honda Accord’s headliner is just starting to wear loose in a few place. After watching this I feel confident that I to can do a pretty good job, with a friend’s help
Used your video to replace my 04 accords headliner, I have the sunroof and the only thing that’s different is that it’s a little more flexible (since more holes in it) but if you aren’t careful it risks snapping in the areas where there are big gaps (since it’s front and back heavy). I got my liner and adhesive from Joanns and with coupons it ended up being about $15ish dollars. I didn’t recover the sliding cover (didn’t want to take apart the top) but it was super easy! Appreciate your video!!
Thanks for this video, very helpful. My headliner just collapsed and i need to replace it. My only question would be, what fabric/materials did you use for the headliner and how did you get your hands on it? Thanks! *edit, just found the link in the description for headliner magic, disregard question lol
Thank you so much for this wonderful video it’s helped me to understand how to do it But I have question for you how can you find the fabric for this car and same colour and how much you???
So I bought my son an 06 accord and the headliner was just falling, alone with the brown stuff. We covered the seats and floor and yanked out the headliner. Then, I used a plastic brush and plastic putty knife and scraped off the old glued foam. I'm gonna pay someone to reinstall eventually, but for now the way it is works. Put all lights and OH shit handles back up along with the visors. Hopefully, whoever gets the job will give me a discount for removing the crap from the backing lol
Hey I understand it’s not for everyone! But honestly this was my first time doing the job I would strongly consider you trying it yourself and save on that labor cost lol
This would work but to do it right, you would need to take out the headliner lay down the fabric and spray the adhesive down. If you do it in the car, you risk getting the adhesive all over the interior
I'm very new to your channel. I have the same vehicle as you do and this helps a lot. Where did you get your radio from and is there a video on how to install it?
How does the headliner get saggy in these accords overtime? My dads 04 hasn’t had this issue yet. The roof is in perfect shape and is clean. I think my dad said it could be from constant humidity making the glue get weak.
Hey man I watched your video and I just picked up a 2006 Honda Accord LX as well and my headliner is completely destroyed. I followed the link you put and couldn’t figure out what headliner you ordered and didn’t wanna order the wrong one.
Thank you for this video, simple clear instructions...this is doable ....I however do have the 2004 with the sunroof 😂😅 I am going to give it a try...fingers crossed 😊
I got everything from Amazon. Here is the link to the assortment LED that will give you everything you need to swap all the interior lights out. amzn.to/3ARbMYB
I did my 06 accord. Used best adhesive, and 3 weeks later the back starts falling again...WTF....I watched your video and 2 other's. Company sent me another headliner free, but that was a job. I really don't have it in me to do it again lol
My moms 07 Accord was completely fine then today she got in the car went a mile and it pretty all fell it was pretty hot today here but she's had the car 3 years
I have a 2007 Honda Accord and am seeing the headliner already floating down .... So this is a repair I will be doing soon. Mine also has a sun roof and I'm honestly scared! I am willing to allow mine to be a video project 😜

Why was cost so much
I'm looking to do the same repair on my daughters car. Thank you good sir. This is one of the best TH-cam videos I've seen on this topic.
Wow, thanks!
Thank you so much for this video. Saved me $500 - followed every step and my headliner looks perfect. I just recommend using gloves to work with the fiberglass
Getting ready to replace my headliner in my ‘07 accord…I hadn’t even thought about the moonroof until you brought it up at the end😭
To be honest I can’t be that much more difficult to do. Be like me and just give it a shot
I love this video as a clueless first time car owner/repairman, thank you so much 😩
This is the best video for removing the headliner. If the glue sets up too fast mist some acetone on it, that will slow the surface tacking down for few minutes.
Thank you so much for this ❤ first time can’t financially pay someone this was very helpful
Thank you for showing this. Because my headliner is falling apart & I was debating if It was too much work lol, but it seemed easy enough for me to do as I have experience on working on cars lol.
Brave undertaking! My 07 is in need of a new headliner, and this video has helped me understand how it all works. Thanks! I’ve got the sunroof😮
Y’all did good! Looks 100% better and it’s not falling anymore.
Appreciate the feed back. I would definitely like to do it again based on me having a little bit more knowledge and patience lol
Thanks for sharing.

I appreciate the input. It was my first time doing it so it definitely was a learning experience for sure.
“It’s not gonna effect performance 😂😂”
Great vid bro I didn’t know if I would be able to do it
I just went for it. Before I did this video, I didn’t know how to do it either but I was able to get it done!
Thank you for this, and thank you for speaking clearly, intelligently, and being so cool!!
I appreciate it and I’m glad that the video ended up being clear and concise
Thanks for the video. I used your video to replace my headline in my 2007 Honda Accord.
You are very welcome! Im glad that my video was able to help you out!!!
Turn sun visor toward the side window to remove the cover without cracking it.
I watched this to get an idea for my 8th gen accord. I added a sound deadening to the metal skin and an added a thermal layer in between the sound deadening and the shell of the headliner and it made a world of difference in the road noise.

How much did you pay at the salvage?
Thanks this was informative. My 2008 Honda Accord’s headliner is just starting to wear loose in a few place. After watching this I feel confident that I to can do a pretty good job, with a friend’s help
Glad it helped
you should not use a wire brush. Use a stiff nylon brush. Wire brush will cut thru the fiberglass liner.
Followed your vid to replace mine. It’s going back in the car tomorrow. We shall see how it goes
That’s awesome glad my video helped you out!!!!
@@JR14Channel video was great! My glue was the wrong choice. Everything went well. It went over 100 degrees and I think the glue melted 😂
Yesssiirrr someone who’s makes great videos for the vehicle I have
Yes and definitely more to come!
Thanks for making such a clear and well spoken video my guy

Definitely rocking with this Accord content. I plan to do more myself for my 07 Accord as well, maybe a collab in the future?
I appreciate it man thank you supporting the build and sure we can definitely do something like that in the future
Thank you so much for this wonderful video it’s helped me to understand how to do it
But I have question for you how can you find the fabric for this car and same colour and how much you???
Check the link in the description. I put it in there for reference.
I have the same radio and Im about to do the headliner as well. Thanks for posting, this helps.
Thank you for the positive feedback! Also thank you for supporting the channel!!!
What did u spray and what type of clot did u use
Thank you so much for this video! I will be doing this (with help) on my own. I'm enjoying learning about fixing my car myself when i can.
Brother you did a great job I love it I have same problems on my 2005 accord 👍🏻
So I bought my son an 06 accord and the headliner was just falling, alone with the brown stuff. We covered the seats and floor and yanked out the headliner. What did you use for the glue? And how did you get the fabric down in the creases?
Nice job. It's nice to see the actual job done from beginning to end. Well done.
I appreciate the feedback bro!!!!
What stereo is that and how do you like it?
Thanks. I'm going to do my headliner on my 07 this weekend. Just have to deal with a sunroof.
Shoot a comment and let me know how it goes!!!! I’m curious with the sunroof!
How did it go? Planning on doing the same
Thanks for the video.. great information.. a little messy but worth it now I can roll down my window !! 👍👍👍
Thanks boys I have to do mine w the sun roof 😢 all good …. Thanks again ✌🏻
No problem 👍
Next mod I want to do for my 2012 accord bcuz it honestly needs it is brand new carpet (black preferably) and brand new headliner
I'm too old to do this can I just cut out the fabric, scrape the insulation off & paint the fiberglass? Hope I can get some advice
This would work but to do it right, you would need to take out the headliner lay down the fabric and spray the adhesive down. If you do it in the car, you risk getting the adhesive all over the interior
What adhesive did you use?
I'm very new to your channel. I have the same vehicle as you do and this helps a lot. Where did you get your radio from and is there a video on how to install it?
Yes check out some of my other videos on my channel there is definitely an install video for the head unit
You chaps did a brilliant job. Err …I have a sunroof 😅
Thanks for the video! I have an 09 and it’s coming down
Heck yea you are more than welcome! Yea go ahead and drop it. It’s not that hard and very satisfying to get it done yourself

Here is the link to a product that was similar to the one I used amzn.to/4eek6Qr
Where did you buy the headliner from?
thanks a lot. i got a 07 accord with the same issue.
No problem I heard that it was a common issue for the accord in this specific generation.
The thumbtacks 😂 Bout to replace one. Thanks for the vid.
What dimensions is needed for the new headliner material?
Check the link for the correct measurement for the Honda Accord headlinermagic.net/products/headliner-2003-up-honda-accord
Thanks for the video! About how much spray adhesive did that require? Did you get it from headliner magic as well?
We’re can I order that same radio and is it plug and play ??
Right here amzn.to/3z5oLpc
How’s the headliner holding up?
Like a champ no issues

Glad that I can help out !!!!!
Thank you very much for the video
I love how you are taking care of your car
Thanks for the video dude, nice job!
Absolutely no problem!!!
I guess you had a leak in the roof that caused the liner to get wet and come loose. I hope that got fixed before it made trouble again.
Thank you for this video, simple clear instructions...this is doable ....I however do have the 2004 with the sunroof 😂😅 I am going to give it a try...fingers crossed 😊
Where did you get that center radio/ climate control interface? Does it control the heater/ac as well?
Thanks
Which grey color did you chose from that web page and was it an acceptable color match 🤔🤔🤘
My 07 ceiling is a LIGHT grey
Check the link in the description because that was the light grey that I went with as well!!

What about one with a sunroof
I’m not sure but I’m sure it’s a very similar procedure
Nice work!
After watching this video, I definitely wanna pay someone to do mine lol
