  • How to Install an NVMe SSD in a PC using M.2 Adapter Card with a SAMSUNG 970 EVO SSD 1TB drive. This is done using using a M.2 PCI Express adapter card from NFHK. This video shows a desktop SSD install with a PCIe adapter card. Installation is with a M.2 SAMSUNG 970 EVO Plus SSD attached to a PCI express card and inserted into a PCIe x16 slot. This allows you to use or install any NVMe SSD or SATA 3 solid state drives into your desktop computer. In this video tutorial guide you can see the complete step by step M.2 SSD installation and formatting with a Windows 10 desktop computer. You will also see the SSD setup process using Windows 10 Device Manager and Windows 10 Disk Management. Setting up a new SSD within Windows 10 or Windows 11 takes only minutes to complete.
The best way to learn how to do a M.2 MVMe SSD setup and installation into a laptop or desktop computer is by seeing it done correctly in this video.
Using a M.2 PCIe Express adapter card is a great solution when you need to add a 2nd M.2 NVMe SSD in your desktop computer. Especially if you either have only one M.2 slot or no M.2 slots at all in your older desktop computer. So keep in mind that a PCI express card installation is easy to do and in this video see how to build an USB 3.0 external SSD with tutorial with performance tests. The external SSD performance test is done using Crystal Disk Mark 8.

Hi! I have an HP Zbook which has two hard drive slots, I currently have just one installed and I'm planning on getting a new one. I use it for architecture renders and designs so I need a lot of space also a hard drive that is resistant and fast. I currently have the SSD 2.5 SAMSUNG MZ7LN256HMJP-000H1. The hard dirve doesn't fit directly into the slot, it actually has a small cord that connects it from a metal case into the laptop. Do you think that I can use a M.2 SSD with an adapter? Do you think it would be better to use that one or would it be better to buy an SSD 2.5? Thank you very much! 🥰

Anyway, can anyone tell me if this adapter is X4 and can give full speed of a Gen 3 SSD? I have a 3000 Mbps SSD and I was wondering if it gives you the full speed or if it's like X1 adapter and only gives a small performance.

Do you have a solid site so as I can get a firm understanding on SSD's? My next computer will certainly have one and I need to know what I actually need that is as dead nuts reliable as can be.
Apparently the newer ones can be Defragged although not a actually needed. I have watch a number of vids in here and they all end up confusing me cuz they are too specific and not a general learning tool as such. Thanks👍👍

If you go to my TH-cam channel @nickscomputerfix you will find multiple videos on SSD installs and configurations. I'm sure they will help you out. Also, you don't need to defrag SSD drives and if you do, it just wears them out faster and shortens there life. Samsung EVO drives are the leader among solid state drives in performance and reliability with WD_Black SSD right behind them, in my opinion.

4G+ or LTE-A or LTE-Advanced sim routers in general will be speeder then 4G sim routers. They normally use 2 bands at the same time and 4G only uses 1 band at a time. But to take advantage of this your carrier must support 4G+ in your area.

Sent you thanks. Tech may change but great teachers don't.
When the adapter card (AMPCOM M.2 NVME SSD to PCIe 4.0 X4 with cooling) arrives next week I'm planning to clone the woefully inadequate 180 GB system disk in my still plucky I7 64 Gbyte core HP Envy Desktop 795-0010 with a Samsung SSD 980 Pro (PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2).
I will figure it out, The issue has to do with installing 10 lbs of potatoes in a 5 lb sack, as Dolly Parton put it years ago.
This model of HP Envoy has a 180 Gbyte system disk. I wouldn't go so far to say it was the one weakness of the design, since the rest of it is great, can only imagine why HP skimped on the SSD as a Windows boot drive. Everyone puts all of their stuff there.
That said, need to clone the tiny existing SSD system drive on a faithful, older computer so looking forward to a video on cloning the operating system to a newly installed (yet far larger) SSD drive

Some laptops require one screw removal for access and others require almost a complete laptop disassembly to access the 2.5 bay or M.2 slot.
