    Thanks champion! This was the only vid I could find on TH-cam that ACTUALLY showed how to remove the needle!

    What a pleasant surprise to see you, Megs, on a mechanical vid. Wasn't expecting that.

    Invaluation info Megs. Been following this while reassembling my carb. Forgot to locate the plastic piece at the bottom on the spring. Lucky I watched your video again!

    Please make a long term review of your bike. It would be fun to hear how it's like to have owned a Tx300 for over a year.

    You need to explain what the change in clip position does and why you are changing it.
    Raising the clip position lowers the needle and leans the mixture out.

      Yes, exactly. That’s the info I am searching for. Not sure why she wouldn’t explain the point of changing the needle clip.

    Very nice taking the carb off the bike.
    Made for much better views and people can actually see the carb slide, not just a half shot of the bike frame.
    Recognized that red topped needle. High altitude.
    Keep up the good work!

    Forceps, used for fishing and surgery, are a really helpful tool to keep the throttle cable in place when you go to thread it into the needle clip slot. But as a lot of people have commented I'd recommend ditching the stock carb for a Lectron, which basically negates the need for any jetting changes aside from some simple, no-disassembly-required adjusting.

    I got one question, is the needle okay if it wiggles a little after you put the 6mm in?

    • @megs_braap
      @megs_braap  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I know this response is way late but for people wondering in the future: Yes that’s totally fine! The needle should wiggle.

    What were the conditions (temp-elevation) needed to change from 4th to 2nd on the clip position? Was the bike behaving wrong?
    Also, I am slightly anal, sorry, but the correct term is "hex key". It took me YEARS to break the habit of calling them by their old trademarked name Allen Keys. LOL. Great video.

    • @megs_braap
      @megs_braap  6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Not Tellinya I was just changing the clip position for the purpose of making the video. But lowering the needle (raising the clip position) would make the bike run leaner in the mid range. The needle position affects from about a 1/4 throttle to about 3/4 throttle.
