    The glass file def made a difference on my very delicate nails. Wish I knew we there was a difference in grit before buying mine, but I’m still quite impressed! Thanks so much for the demo!! Clear clear, easy to understand video…

    These are so gorgeous AND work so well!! I’m a consultant for Touchstone Crystals by Swarovski and these files would make the PERFECT hostess gifts since they have Swarovski crystals and are amazing too!

    I FINALLY watched this video! 1) I had no idea about not using the old school emery boards back and forth so I’ll be stopping that immediately and 2) I’m buying those glass boards and pusher!

    Hello Chelsea thank you for making this video. I just ordered my the glass cuticle Pusher . I can't wait for it to come in I'm so excited. The metal cuticle Pusher scares me. I've never taken care of my cuticles. I do have the glass nail file had it for 15 years. It still works as if I just purchased it. I've never went back to Emory boards.

      @@SipAndDip hello Chelsea, I love my Bona Fide Beauty glass cuticle pusher. Thank you so much for the recommendation. I keep on looking at my hands is if I just got engaged. 🤣 My nails look so pretty. Easy to use I felt comfortable using the glass cuticle Pusher . It didn't seem as scary as the metal cuticle pusher. I even did my husband's cuticles. He loved being pampered. I highly recommend Bona Fide Beauty glass cuticle pusher to everyone. They also have fast shipping. I received mine within 5 days. Thanks again have a Happy New Year.

    The glass cuticle pusher scrapes off layers of natural nail as well, not just the cuticles. (*Marie B.)

    Did you use a liquid cuticle product as well (I couldn’t tell)?

  • @devynnoto8181
    @devynnoto8181 ปีที่แล้ว

    Have you ever used a pumice cuticle pusher? I normally use the glass one, but the stone one popped up in my amazon suggested items list. Just curious as to if you've used it.

    • @SipAndDip
      @SipAndDip  ปีที่แล้ว

      I have! The one I tried felt reallllyyy rough though! I wonder if they’re different “grits” maybe 🧐

    • @devynnoto8181
      @devynnoto8181 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SipAndDip I thought that would be the case. I think I am going to stick with my glass ones for now.

  • @andreaflores0817
    @andreaflores0817 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Now I know not to go back and forth with my 100/180 grit nail file. Also can I use a metal file? I noticed that's a lot gentler on my nails than my 100/180 grit nail file. Or do you think a glass one would work even better?

    • @SipAndDip
      @SipAndDip  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Andrea!! You can absolutely use a metal file! I would say that glass might be more gentle than metal but it’s totally whatever you are comfortable with 🥰

    How do you keep your nails so healthy and strong?! Mine are so thin and fragile and break so easily 😭

    • @SipAndDip
      @SipAndDip  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Keeping dip powder on my nails at all time has been such a saving grace! It gives my nails that added strength so they don't crack. AND using Candi's Skincare cuticle oil has been a total game changer. It is not greasy at all and keeps my nails/skin so moisturized!

    • @irisestrada9796
      @irisestrada9796 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      SipAndDip I feel like when I started applying dip powder my nails got super thin when I would take it off to change the color! 😩. I must be doing something wrong

    • @SipAndDip
      @SipAndDip  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Iris Estrada could you walk me through your prep process? Is it possible you are filing/buffing off too much of your natural nail (on top) if you’re buffing the shine off during prep? Are you soaking them off for removal? Let’s see if we can figure this out! 💕

    • @irisestrada9796
      @irisestrada9796 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      SipAndDip it could be possible I file or buff too much off? Idk what too much is 😅🤣. And I have soaked off either using the bag method or aluminum but last time I tried that gel you put on top of the dip or gel polish to remove it

    • @SipAndDip
      @SipAndDip  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Iris Estrada well that’s great that you’re soaking and not picking them off! That can definitely pull of lots of your natural nail. I have oily nails so I personally choose to buff my natural nails. If you don’t have a lifting issue, maybe trying not buffing a few nails to see! The only issue is, you could get lifting and the product may not adhere. It just takes some trial and error 💕 in the mean time! You could definitely do an apple cider vinegar soak to get your nails back to healthy and strong! 💪🏼

    You are destroying your cuticles. Those are there for a reason to keep bacteria out of your nail bed. If anything, you can GENTLY push them back once they are soft, but pushing them back then digging around them is doing so much damage

    hi yall i have a questions.. are glass files reusable?

    • @SipAndDip
      @SipAndDip  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have been using the same glass file for around 4 months! I will probably change it out soon but I use it for shaping my natural nails before every mani 💕
