I’ve daily’d a 2k dollar na Miata for a while now, makes a pretty good daily, but look for one that has somewhat of a long gear ratio if you don’t want to fill up that tiny ass gas tank 4 times a week (if you drive 30-40 minutes to work every day)
in this list i would pick the 335i tho my favorite first car would be a 2001 lexus IS300, although it has a bad gas mileage, but it is fun. could you please make another video including the IS300 and the forester xt? otherwise, helpful video... thanks😎👏🏻
i know man the is300 is an awesome car. I was gonna throw it on this list but gotta save something for later on. has the same motor as the na mk 4 supra right?
I have had my 350z for 4 years and its my second car.. But i love it, G35 and 350z are def the fun entry level cars, just hate how people say they are so cheap, they are a little more expensive in the condition you actually would want. If you don't have a kid or have to haul shit, they're fine first cars.
I currently drive (first car!!) a 1996 MX 5 Miata and I couldn’t have asked for a better car. I’m so excited to work on it and have it grow with me for as long as possible
This video really helped me. I was in love with a 350z but u opened my eyes to an infinity. Never thought I would want one. But I do now. And knowing that the insurance on a 350z is a load, that helps a lot. And mods cost quite a bit on a 350z. This video helped me, thanks!
Honestly my first car was an Infiniti G37. That 3.7L sedan was such a great car and sounded so good with an exhaust! Makes me so mad a drunk driver took her from me... but yes the G35 or G37 is a perfect choice! Yes they can be tuned and omg you’ll be flying in at 160+ MPH! 😫 I miss her so much!
If u are from Europe ... these are the REAL prices from the German market: 1. Infinity G35 10. - 20.000€ ( if u can find one ) 2. Honda Civic si 8th not available in europe only the 1.3 hybrid with 95-116hp for 3. -5.000€ 3. Mazda Speed 3 ... crappy cars yes for 5.000€ but if u want one without any damages or subsequent repairs u need to pay 7. - 9.000€ 4. BMW M3 E90 (like in the Video) u have to pay more than 20.000€ for a good one. The cheapest i found was 18.000€. a good 335i is starting at 12.000€. There are some for 7.500€ but with 300.000km on the clock. 5. The Mazda MX5 (for the americans the extra wiener Miata ) 2.gen with 4. - 6.000€ with a 1.6L (110hp) and the 1.8L (140hp). 3.gen is starting at 8.000€ with the 1.8L(126hp) engine. The 2.0L (160hp) is around 10. -12.000€. Conclusion. Is this video good for european students ? NO! Unless your parents shove money up your ass ^^. The insurance for these cars is too high that a student with novice driver status could pay for it in addition to tuition. The cars on this list have a combined consumption of mostly 10 litres, which becomes very expensive at a liter price of €1.60-1.90/L. Running costs such as repairs, annual inspection and care should not be forgotten either.
ANOTHER car is the Mercedes-Benz E 55 AMG but it's around 5k for a 2001 model, but its definitely worth the tuning potential is insane and it's welcoming to a turbo and more air the mpg is decent! if your interested definitely check it out!
Honda prelude is the best car for younger people hands down. Cheap to maintain, cheap on insurance, easy to work on, fast and nimble enough to enjoy a nice drive, and cool enough to get some looks. From someone who has owned 3 cars under 5k and currently owns a prelude thats my 2 sense.
I got a 1g Gs300 2jzge for my first ride. Took out the seats, and replaced the front seats with is300 leather seats. Swapped out the wheel for an is300 one. Dropped it on new rims. And left the rear seats off.
I've had both. For a daily or just want speed speed3 is a better choice. If you want a good handling vert for cheap and never have to haul anything miata is the most fun I've had driving a car
In Europe students normaly drive older, less gas burning cars because they mostly don't have that much money to make sure they don't run out of gas with higher powered, more gas burning cars. Because the insurances are way higher for cars with much power and our gas prices are seriously high.
okay okay i like your point on the BMW, my sister has one 2011 328i but if your gonna get one you have to take so much care of it because in the long run the parts brake bad my sisters’s radiator broke yesterday but i like your point
Looking for my first car, going in to senior year of high school. And I thought this would be easy once I found a car I liked.... But I just love so many different cars. There are only like 2 cars on this list that I wouldnt want. This is hard haha
Another good car is a Fiat 124spider abarth while it isn’t super cheap, it is a car that you can save up for and potentially sell your first car to get and it’s a great budget track car
FLACKO hell yea the g35 is in my opinion the best car in the list not only is the engine and suspension bulletproof it also offers more modern interior and comfort the only problem I had for my g35 was it can be somewhat costly in gas in the long run but I had a lot of fun driving the g35 and it’s quick asf
If you want a cheap to maintain and more reliable BMW, get an older one. I have an E92 335xi with the N54. Bought it for 11K used in 2017. With mods and maintenance all together Ive spent almost 8K. (of course, I make a conservative 480 AWHP) and youd by no means NEED that, but the mod bug bites hard and fast when your car has so much potential. Get an E46 (3 series 1998-2005) E36 (3 series 1992-1998) if you want the best value for car and availability of aftermarket mods and maintenance support. Besides, old Bimmers are DOPE, and didnt use nearly as much cheap plastic that breaks like the new ones do. Hope you found this helpful!

Me having a 350z for the past 3 years as my first car 😭😂 love it and definitely recommend but the seats are a problem won’t lie lol and also agree with the fast that the VQs are a amazing engine and is mad reliable and pretty easy to work on
My man has a new haircut🤙
Does it look better or worse?
Ideal Media Much better.
For my first car, i bought a 2004 honda accord (euro), Thought it had quite a racerboy style (cl9) and can drive my friends around.
If i was a car enthusiast and had no friends id probably buy a celica
i own a g35, highly recommend. just be sure to check your oil a lot due to it burning.
What year, how much u pay for it ?
Griffin Woodall I think the 06-08 have the oil burning problem should be fine out of that
And get ear plugs so you don’t have to listen to the awful vq
I have a 08 G35. No oil problems.
Dillon Busche how long have you’ve had it and ur fortunate great car
I’ve daily’d a 2k dollar na Miata for a while now, makes a pretty good daily, but look for one that has somewhat of a long gear ratio if you don’t want to fill up that tiny ass gas tank 4 times a week (if you drive 30-40 minutes to work every day)
“Bullet proof” lol yeah okay, I love my speed but my rods bent at 130k miles 🤣
in this list i would pick the 335i tho my favorite first car would be a 2001 lexus IS300, although it has a bad gas mileage, but it is fun. could you please make another video including the IS300 and the forester xt? otherwise, helpful video... thanks😎👏🏻
i know man the is300 is an awesome car. I was gonna throw it on this list but gotta save something for later on. has the same motor as the na mk 4 supra right?
yeah it does. Thanks again!👏🏻😎
@bill naveed your right the 2jz in the Is 300 is different then the MK 4 supra
Different motor. Dad looked into turboing his but it's 10k+ to do and the parts are expensive
@bill naveed all the lexus 2Js are underbuilt compared to a real 2J
i knwe it the mx5 is the number 1 because
M-Miata
i - is

t - the

and somehow we made a shirt for that! go chekc it out! bit.ly/miatatee

Definitely looking for a BMW XI N54 with a manual transmission. That is my ideal build...
I have had my 350z for 4 years and its my second car.. But i love it, G35 and 350z are def the fun entry level cars, just hate how people say they are so cheap, they are a little more expensive in the condition you actually would want. If you don't have a kid or have to haul shit, they're fine first cars.
everybody gangsta till an infiniti beats my volkswagen cc in every category except for looks

Did he use the word “fastish” while describing a Miata? He’s wrong , they are painfully slow to drive. But don’t get me wrong, they are fun as hell.
Have you ever driven one on the Tail of the Dragon? You'll leave people in the dust except for sports bikes! 😀
I’ve been watching a lot of first cars videos but I haven’t seen a single golf mk4🤔it was my first car and it was AMAZING.
I currently drive (first car!!) a 1996 MX 5 Miata and I couldn’t have asked for a better car. I’m so excited to work on it and have it grow with me for as long as possible
Out of this list I like the BMW the most but I'll stick with my Subaru STI
what gen you got?
Ideal Media Hawkeye it was a base na when I got it and I bought and wrecked STI and did the swap
This video really helped me. I was in love with a 350z but u opened my eyes to an infinity. Never thought I would want one. But I do now. And knowing that the insurance on a 350z is a load, that helps a lot. And mods cost quite a bit on a 350z. This video helped me, thanks!
Bmw ! just get ready for coolant issues😭❤️
If u are from Europe ... these are the REAL prices from the German market:
1. Infinity G35 10. - 20.000€ ( if u can find one )
2. Honda Civic si 8th not available in europe only the 1.3 hybrid with 95-116hp for 3. -5.000€
3. Mazda Speed 3 ... crappy cars yes for 5.000€ but if u want one without any damages or subsequent repairs u need to pay 7. - 9.000€
MY LIST
2000-2005 mustang
2005 chysler 300c
2007 lincoln mkz
Toyota celica gt
Cadillac cts
Pontiac grand prix v8
justin sider does the Chrysler use up a lot of your money?
@@dengtv191 no there actually pretty reliable and parts are cheap, but I reccomend going with the v8 because the other engines have reliability issues
me 20 seconds in the vid hearing “the last is definitely the best” : civic!
Stop telling people about these gems, the price of my g keeps going up cause these knobheads keep buying them
lmao
XD
ANOTHER car is the Mercedes-Benz E 55 AMG but it's around 5k for a 2001 model, but its definitely worth the tuning potential is insane and it's welcoming to a turbo and more air the mpg is decent! if your interested definitely check it out!
Honda prelude is the best car for younger people hands down. Cheap to maintain, cheap on insurance, easy to work on, fast and nimble enough to enjoy a nice drive, and cool enough to get some looks. From someone who has owned 3 cars under 5k and currently owns a prelude thats my 2 sense.
pretty sure i’m one of the only teens that want a 4 door mom car lmfao
Yes yes you are
No, if you play your cards right you carry the whole squad an even fit some babes in, just make sure it ain’t a mini van
Get a charger I mean it’s not necessarily a mom car but it’s a decent sized 4 door sedan that still looks cool and isn’t slow
Then get a g35
Buy a Camry or all the Accord you can afford....most reliable and decent driving family cars available.
335i first, g35 second
Because no replacement for displacement
Amazing haircut btw
yeee! ideal haircut you meant?! haha
Hell yeah, Ideal beard as well 👌
Metalhead Mopar guy really ? Boost wants to know your location
@@TheBb6prelude imagine that boost going in a big displacement then.
I knew the g35 was gonna be on this, I’m buying one soon
MrTbag El they’re good cars, they’re on every list i’ve come across
Sameeer
I wanted to buy the m37
If u add another 3k-5k worth of mods on a G35 it will rock all of the cars under 5k for sure. Definitely picking one up myself
I got a 1g Gs300 2jzge for my first ride.
Took out the seats, and replaced the front seats with is300 leather seats. Swapped out the wheel for an is300 one. Dropped it on new rims. And left the rear seats off.
I really really like the hidden head lights so miata here I Come :D

I'm interested in the Mazda3 MPS and the miata
I've had both. For a daily or just want speed speed3 is a better choice. If you want a good handling vert for cheap and never have to haul anything miata is the most fun I've had driving a car
I had a friend who said his G37 was worth $20k-30k... he wasn't fooling anybody... lol
ThatOneIntrovert well yeah.. g37’s are priced around that point
A g37 is not a g35 btw
@@l-_-sage-_-l Well obviously
ThatOneIntrovert this video didn’t have a g37 in it
New G37s went for like 37500 in 2013
In Europe students normaly drive older, less gas burning cars because they mostly don't have that much money to make sure they don't run out of gas with higher powered, more gas burning cars.

3:58 there's not as much on in this guy's mirror lol
Another good car is a Fiat 124spider abarth while it isn’t super cheap, it is a car that you can save up for and potentially sell your first car to get and it’s a great budget track car
Been eyeing an nb for awhile now. All these first car lists including it certainly adds to it.
This thought me nothing because I want all of them
I live in denmark those cars would cost 4 times more for me
G35 all the way. 🔥🔥
Do you recommend this as a First car
FLACKO hell yea the g35 is in my opinion the best car in the list not only is the engine and suspension bulletproof it also offers more modern interior and comfort the only problem I had for my g35 was it can be somewhat costly in gas in the long run but I had a lot of fun driving the g35 and it’s quick asf
Edwin Ram what kind of g35 would you recommend?
If i were to get a 07-09 g35 or 37, would they be good first cars and are they expensive to maintain?
Ghost Fae3211 it’s not expensive as long as you take care of it ya know. Make sure you change the oil at the right times etc.
I live in a country where jdm cars are very rare, a mx 5 miata cost 60.000$+, even the old model
All cars will get students to troubles with cops 😂
Mazdaspeed, oooh yeaah babyy
