this is why I wait abour 20+ years before I buy a game. Got my copy of Super Mario World last night.
Jaffas Geez
Jaffas is it any good or should i wait for a sale?
Jaffas I just got Pong and its rly good
you're so right, I gor E.T. for atari and that game suuuucks, good luck I didn't spent any money and just found it on a hole in the ground
Jaffas same with me lol, I just got metal gear rising
which ending of the game you prefer
i prefer the refund ending
hieu nguyen i prefer the one where I get hit by a truck before pllaying it.
hieu nguyen i prefer the ending where the developer got arrested for fraud advertising
indeed deed before pallying it
i rather want the don't fucking play this shitty game ending
You mean the green (bag) one?
It is good to have these game commentators. Before the internet you had do go and buy blindly these hyped games which really weren't worth the cost and only find yourself twenty years later watching AVGN or something to ease your crudge.
Thank you Joe. Because of you I just saved 70€.
AJ our hero but hes not cut out a bit his anger for health reason.
I don't know how it saved you 70€ when the game is 59,99€ (59.99€ in american speech) both on steam and the PSN
*****
I planned to buy it for PS4, and the 70€ price tag is propably because of the high taxes what we have here in Finland.
Regular european prices, the EU is the gaming industries biggest market... and of course prices are highest here ;)
+Nebu Jin "Regular european prices" Bullshit. 60€ in germany.
+jungledyret100 So, every other full price game is 80€ for you? Ah well come on lets make 100€ games already. Without DLC that is
No Man’s Sky might be a fantastic game now, but you gotta remember how it all began
Because of Sony, added the part you missed
Bro it’s so much better now launch was awful
Its not that great now sorry.
Its not that great as it is now. I be falling off the maps and shooting the beams has to hit a certain angle
@@James-ov5kg that doesn't even make sense, you probably don't even play it.
I mean, I knew this game wouldn't live up to the hype, but holy shit, how do you screw up a game so bad that you outright lie about some features? Christ.
EDIT: removed the part about "not trusting indie devs" because it sounds fucking ridiculous the more I think about it.
Project Zomboid is pretty sweet, and I've been playing it on and off since the "alpha tech demo" (although it's been years and it's still incomplete - but hey, I knew what I was getting into, and they DO update it frequently, so it's not like it's stagnating)
Devs are normal people just like the gamers, wanting their project to succeed by promising so many things that they end up not delivering on. Hyper Light Drifter, Undertail, Stardew Valley, Dust an Elesian Tale, etc are all great games made by indie devs. It all matters on the developer themselves, not just the fact they are indie.
+Jeff Falkenham
And we're still not immune to hype. Even candidly talking about far off features in the Mondoids get the main devs in trouble on PZ. :P It'll certainly be interesting to see how PZ's 1.0 release compares to No Man's Sky's reception.
Glad you're enjoying it. :D
"Undertail" ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
There was never really a time when you could trust any devs, it just took them awhile to figure out how best to scam people.
in space no one can hear you scream for a refund
sounds teurable.
Teurable!
so true.
Morgan Ariano Steam did. Steam is our god who heard our screams and granted us refunds.
since no one can hear you screaming refund in space you know what should I do? throw it in space but before I do that I'll put a sticky note it say refund and I want remastered last of us
"As wide as on ocean but has the depth of a puddle" -Angry joe. wow amazing and perfect quote
Joe didn't come up with that. Someone else posted it in chat during a stream and he decided to use it.
ok
Last of Us Nerd too bad he copied that quote from another gaming site
Last of Us Nerd It's a common figure of speech
That aptly describes Skyrim too.

Yepp , brought me back for a rewatch

No man buy No man's sky because of One Man's lies
In all seriousness. It was the fans fault for overhyping this game and Sean Murray spouting the bullshit that did it.
Yeah blame the fans for the developers lying about features - or releasing a broken game. It's always the customer's fault.
+skipperbent I'm blaming both.
+Dalek115 people got overhyped becaused of Sean Murray's bullshit
+Dalek115 The fans wouldn't of over hyped the game if the devs told us the truth in the first place.

Sometimes I'm glad I can't run latest games. Saves a lot of money.
You and me both
I can run them, but spending all this money on a rig means I cant afford the games, lol.
/facepalm just torrent a game if u not sure whether to spend money on it or not, play it and then decide will u buy it or not... YES! IT'S THAT SIMPLE!....
This is why I just dont rush into all the hype anymore with modern games, no matter how cool they look. Only game Ive bought on release recently was Fallout 4 and Im still playing that now, havnt even got rnd to the Far Harbor dlc, Ive found that game was pure value for money.
Only big ambitious games Im looking forward to and will buy on release are FF7 REMAKE if that comes out next yr. I might get Star Citizen too.
nak3dtourist Pirated games are unreliable in so many ways. Viruses, limited functions, instability...Not to mention that some games like DOOM or Far Cry Primal has a protection against pirating so good luck torrenting such games. And some games are online only buy to play games e.g. Diablo 3...Tell me if you are such a genius, how do you torrent this kind of game?
While this game might be bad, the game was a good thing in that it punished people who pre-ordered it. Pre-orders are the reason we are delivered so many half-assed, low-quality, unfinished games. If you know anybody who pre-orders games, slap them silly.
agreed.even though I just pre ordered 2k17.which is the worst game ever.i know.trust me.i know...
Oh I'm right there with. Sadly I made the dumb mistake of pre-ordering and with a few other friends as well. However, from our experiences with Destiny, The Division and now One Man's Lie. We've all sworn off pre-ordering ever again. Also, we've all gotten refunds for the game as well. Thank goodness both valve and Sony recognize this heap of lying garbage of a game.
I pre ordered Pokemon moon
and DLC.
nah its fine. Pokemon is a Nintendo game, they are the only ones who actually keeping their promises and they are releasing amazing games.
Sean Murray previously worked for EA. What did you expect?
Except he worked on burnout which is a pretty good game, he wasn't some shady executive
+Dovahkiff Yes but he obviously learned some shady shit from them judging from all the EA level misleading advertisement surrounding this game.
EA has brainwashed him. He's a mere husk being controled by terrible terrible entities...kinda like the animals in no mans sky!
He did mobile games before this, he is a big mess and liar. being with ea doesnt make him a liar. Ea atleast fucking openly tells people about the shit they are gonna do
At least he worked on Burnout, good ass games.
Remember when this was abnormal for a game at launch
Simpler times...
i am so glad i waited until all the things "promised" at launch are in the game now
are we gonna forget about the fact that bethesda games have been doing this for over a decade?
A time existed that what a game commercial showed, was actually the game.
@@postmodernmarxistnihilist4282 Even earlier. Fable 2. Remember how much stuff they promised for that game? Totally ruined what is still a good game... But when you tell me the dog will have dozens of commands n all this over hype bs...

I love that this got a higher final verdict than fallout 76.
Mr. Caffeine fallout 76 really did disappoint me tho😰
At least no mans sky looks good and has unique designs. Fallout 76 is an ugly asset flip reusing models from previous games. Don't get me wrong they are both shit. No mans sky is just slightly less shit.
@@danmorgan9519 Actually for the last two years the game developers have continued to work on no man's sky. I haven't played it but I really want to. I have major respect for the developers because instead of jumping ship they worked hard to try and make no man's sky what they originally wanted it to be. I would recommend that instead of blindly hating games, you try to look at them from the eyes of the developers a bit more. Fallout 76 is an ugly asset flip and a shitty game made by a company with shittier business practices, but no man's sky is different, it was a labor of love by an indie game company who bit off more then they could chew but they are getting there. From the looks of it they even have underwater segments in the game but I might be mistaken.
Im hos follow up video Joe said 76 really should be a 2/10 instead of 3
@@twink2491 Correct, what im talking about is the intention behind their actions. The people who made no mans sky actually put a lot of love into their game and wanted it to be good and know it is (I think), whereas fallout 76 was a blatant cash grab by Bethesda. Im not saying that the no mans sky developers are blameless, but I think they have more then made up for their mistakes and don't deserve the bad rep they get, and they definitely don't deserve to be put on the same level a Bethesda and their bullshit business practices.
That start was so accurate. Wow.
Because this TH-camr is like the only channel tells the truth, instead of being blind something is new.

That intro is perfect. It’s exactly what playing the game feels like at least once for everybody.
Not anymore
@@spacesam4726 Still the same.
You must be one of the developers. 🙄😒
@@spacesam4726 shouldn’t have been released like this in the first place. First impressions are more important than the final product
@@slowed8394 Definetly, but it's mostly the fact they had poor Sean as their PR guy it was such a dissapointment. They just had too much hype and felt like they needed to release their game because of the fans impatience
that's funny 4:30
What happened is pretty simple, they made a little indie game, then advertised the shit out of it, the hype started and instead of talking about what they actually had, they talked about stuff, they would like to have, as if it was already there, which it wasn't and as we now know never would be. Then they started to believe their own bullshit, hyped it even more and put a 60$ prizetag on a game, that should've quietly shown up on Steam Greenlight for 15$. Suddenly a quaint little indie game was supposed to be this giant best-game-ever-made blockbuster and it is not, never was, never will be. Never believe in a hype if it is not a successor to a AAA title or from a studio that has proven its ability to deliver AAA work and even then its 50/50 at best.
hit the nail on the head with that one m8.
Not even then, been burned by Blizzard with their clusterfuck Diablo 3, for full 60 dollars. NEVER pre-order.
Likely this mostly resulted from Sony being there publisher. What probably happened is back in June Hello Games realized that they needed another 6 months to a year to work out a lot of the bugs in most of the features that were pulled, and SONY probably said something along the lines of "You will release this game in 2 months or we are pulling our funding", and so they were forced to release an unfinished game.
Likely SONY is also the reason for the $60 price tag, though this price will likely drop in a few months
That being said, many of the proposed features (along with many that have not been talked about yet) will likely be introduced to the game over the course of the next few months. At the moment the game has a pretty good framework for a good game but it definitely need more depth. additionally, Hello Games has stated that in this game will be supported and updated for years to come. There is also already a very active modding community trying to improve the game.
In summary, this game has a lot that it didn't live up to but the bones are there. As it stands right now the game is not worth $60 but ass additional features, content and depth are added I would be willing to guess that it will be worth it eventually. You might not want to buy this game right now but it is probably something that you should keep an eye on, because it could eventually become something great.
more than likely, IF any missing content is released, it will be released as DLC
what ta fuck?! what ta fuck is the point of this comment? we know this shut ta fuck up
If you haven't bought this game, then this video is hell fun to watch. :-)
yep
i haven't bought the game cause i'm not an idiot to pre-order or buy day 1 games. i got fooled 2 times a few years ago, but i won't get fooled a 3rd time
Exactly.
+Proteus don't u play rust
I see u everywhere
From time to time, yeah
No Man's Sky is a perfect example of the dangers of overhyping and misleading a game.
Honestly it wasnt overhype that was the problem though. It had a reason to be hyped.
It was the straight up complete lies from the devs. NOTHING they promised or showed was in the game. Whatever crazy game they showed at all those reveals? That game deserves the hype. THIS is not that game.
Dark Well those lies led to the hype so eithe or, i mean i still agree that with time they can build this game into what it was suppose to be but that trend of release it now fix it later needs to end now.
damn right it does
Hopefully Battlefield 1 doesn't head down the same path
what remake ? also we played BF1 beta and it seems pretty solid but in the past battlefield has a history of launch day server problems so i'll give it a few weeks.
The scene where Joe talks about the ending of the game is one of my favorite rage moments cause he is just screaming and the "ah ah like ITS THE GREATEST FUCKING GAME YOU EVER FUCKING PLAYED"

Wow 229 likes! Thanks guys! :D
Hey, look at the bright side. Now Mass Effect 3's ending isn't such a disappointment anymore.
mass effect 3 had an ending. no man's sky doesnt have an ending at all
Yeah, this seems like the devs had to seriously cut out a lot of stuff to either meet a deadline, save for DLC, or just couldn't get to work due to constraints. Though I can't say that the ending is a bad one. After all, I think the general premise of the game is discovery; so, it's more about the journey than the destination. Not actually revealing the destination at the end, fits that theme rather well. It might be a bit disappointing, but whatever would be shown to you at the destination would be. There is no endpoint to discovery.
+SteinbrecherBack flew right over his head huh? lol
100% agree
The ending of this game is kinda finding the center of the universe right?
every now and then, when I see a game trailer that I really like, I come back to watch this video. It keeps me in check.

I don't mind a mediocre game, but what I hate is that Sean Murray repeatedly lied about what's in the game before launch and acted as if nothing happened when confronted by the players after launch.
Agreed.
i didnt watch most of this video. why? because its too long. I have physically watch planets rotate. I have personally come across the water world type Planet which took me a half hour to find a small island that I could land on. I see a group of 100000 plus people saying they never seen a flowing river in the game. I found one three nights ago so many complaints that I see about this game. Or I haven't found this or I haven't found that. And they automatically assume it's not in the game. That's a long way of thinking. This game as a whole is to the T exactly as it was described. Are there some things missing in this game? Sure but it doesn't take away from the game as a whole
+Trevor Bierau this is the reason why you should watch the video.
i've enjoyed my time with NMS, but don't delude yourself.

To be fair, he didn't actually lie about as many features as people think. The only thing he actually lied about was multiplayer.
The devs were extremely vauge about anything in the game, and people went on to speculate and assume that's what was in the game.

also check out the black hokage he is pretty funny, and he is hilariously honest about games.
Or maybe he should try and get a job in the game industry since he thinks he knows everything
Industry wont hire someone like Angry Joe cuz many of these developers dont want any criticism and want people that "Go along to get along"
+Activision, the con artists that's sad
It's easy to be Captain Hindsight. It's not so easy to direct game development during cycles. Being critical is the easiest thing in the world. Being critical with alternative workable solutions that maintain balance and fit gameplay mechanics isn't so easy.
Although there are some good points raised, especially ship customisation and the ending, much of what he says is opinion based on his own desires. The irony here is that planets did rotate but the effect was changed after play testing revealed players couldn't get used to it.

@Mryeast 5999 V2 Then that's your shit luck. Having the "best" hardware doesn't mean everything will go smoothly. That's incredibly naïve. The biggest issue right now aren't even the bugs. It's the missing features the game doesn't have.
Makers NEED people like you who are very honest about their games so that they fix and create their games. Keep doing that, but don't let yourself stress too much is unhealthy. But yes I loved how sincere you were hopefully they do something.

Bethesda is just the fucking publisher, they dont craft games. The work was done by others... you know, the developers who created the game(s)? I dont get why people always mix up publishers and developers... and in 99% they praise the publishers, for the work someone else has done... the developers. For example, Doom 2016 was made by ID Software, the Studio which invented the FPS genre for the first time in early-mid 90's. Actually the god fathers of the FPS genre. They are the ones who created Doom 2016, and not fucking Bethesda. Same goes for The Elderscrolls 1-5 + Online. The games are not created by Bethesda, so stop saying the fucking publishers names, because they have no effect on how the games turn out. PS: I am really sick of these newbie debats, clueless people shouldnt be having conversations on the internet.
+Ronald Cooper that sounds like an opinion
+Nebu Jin unhappy Bethesda owns ID software sooo idk how you would call that but fallout? Elder scrolls? Yeah bro hate to tell you but Bethesda actually designed those.. Sooo they aren't just a publisher.
Petition for AJ to Re-Review No Mans Sky
Here here.
For what? lol. They added in most the stuff the promised at launch, while still having the same fundamental core gameplay that cripples this game the most.
@@junkiexl86 thats 100% true, the gameplay loop still sucks
In a recent Q&A he said that a creed of his is to not re-review, as he believes that if a developer cares about their game, they'll release it in the best way possible it should be.
He also mentioned that he understands when they add features that fans have requested and general fixes, but as for patches that re-work the entire game, that's a no from him.
Anthony Sanchez there are flaws in this though... we need to reward things we want. Of course we don’t want more broken games on launch that get better as time goes on, which is why joe needs to specify in the re-review that his praise lies in Hellos games commitment and constant output of FREE updates. FREE. We want games like anthem, and fallout 76 to be better. Not just abandoned as the dev runs off with all the launch money.
Imma legally change my name to Liquidator Amru
Oh you.

Hey I know that guy
I don't get it
Alphajet 101 did you watch the video?
I hear the phrase, "It's not the destination, it's the journey," which can be true. But a journey is only cool if you actually find things of interest.
If a road trip is basically just hopping from gas station to gas station to refuel on chips and gas, with each station looking mostly the same as the previous, with no attractions on the way or alternate roads to go on, then the road trip gets boring and is ultimately POINTLESS.
well said
Especially if it's just you to keep yourself company. At least if you had a group of friends going from gas station to gas station can still yield fun experiences.
Well, the point of the road trip would be to get to your destination, which then you could experience what you've been looking forward to... But with NMS, it's more like if at the end of the road trip, you're actually BACK where you started, and had to make the same road trip all over again... I think that could be considered an actual Hell
Kryllic R. Actually, that's one of the hells where people with worst karma go in Buddhism
Yup. Well said. Completely and effortlessly nailed it.

I honestly don't get why the creators of no mans sky lied soooo much
Aaron Simond they lied to sell the game. It's a heist essentially :)
I get they did it to sell the game, but I swear the dude answered yes to EVERYTHING.
Aaron Simond they crossed the line...I think this was one of the first cases in like 15 years that had the most misleading advertising...the only game I played that comes close to this incredible amount of bullshit advertising was Universal Combat (basically a graphically improved Battlecruiser 3000 a.d.)...Derek Smart got a lot of flak for that ,he was even outed for using a phony phd title that was bought from an unaccredited diploma mill school and he was subject of the longest flamewar in history ....thats as far as i remember of a game that crossed the line with misleading advertising .Hello Games must be punished for this .Sean Murray and all the development team must suffer the consequences ...Sean Murray as the guilty and everyone else as quiet conspirstors
People must understand that exaggerating everything is technically lying.Sean lied and he knew it was a lie just look at his body language when somebody asked him a question that he had to lie about...it means he at least had a conscience.
The answer is easy: money
There's a possibility that they actually overestimated their possibilities, but that only applies to developers that are passionate about their work. I've given a shorter estimate time many times, but being a perfectionist I don't consider something done until it's close to perfect. I'm a back-end developer.

@@spoopy._.cheems lol it's still the same mind-numbing constant resource gathering under the guise the puddle is deeper than it is. Don't kid yourself. Is it better than launch, sure. But the fundamental issues of the core gameplay, which cannot be changed, are still there.
@@junkiexl86 I mean have you played it recently? I would agree with you except that only really applies to the tutorial phase which is pretty lengthy. After that however I found the game opens up a lot more and let's you do beyond what the core gameplay used to entail at launch, managing freighters and bases, looking for ancient bones, doing faction missions to improve your reputation, finding derelict freighters, doing community multiplayer missions and much more. You could make a valid argument that each of these mechanics are somewhat shallow but I think it's a good comparison to Skyrim. While of course they're not the same game at all, like No Man's Sky, Skyrim has a lot of shallow mechanics that can be scrutinized in further inspection but overall make for an engaging game, that's how I feel about No Man's Sky when I repurchased it on PC fours years after initially refunding the game after launch. It's offered a lot of the variation that I initially wanted at launch, and while it still has it's flaws like combat being pretty dull and the freighters not serving much of a purpose in combat, the devs seem really intent on listening to player feedback as Origins was a response to the community's criticisms of planets feeling stale. The game can be critiqued for a lot of things but saying its the same game after four years of updates dramatically changing the state of the game is kind of unfair imo
@@spoopy._.cheems Sorry, I dont support bad and deceptive business practices. NMS needs no more press.

Even though this game has come leaps and bounds, it still lacks two very important features that Sean mentioned-
1. NPC Ships having an influence on the Economy by buying and selling goods and influencing prices and stock in the system.
2. A lack of dynamic faction system, NOT RACES but a faction system where player/players can interact with.
I appreciate the free updates HG have been throwing at us, but these core features are important for us Day 1 players who have been with this game since the very beginning.

You know what would have been a better ending? You go to the center, discover that your ancestors were once a proud race of space explorers and they had the capacity to create entire planets, you learn this ability and decide on creating your own system on your side of the galaxy. Create whatever creatures and start your own ecosystem. Have friends come and visit your own planet and vice versa. You can add more to your creation kit by harvesting other planets, taking DNA from alien species, etc. Basically, following your ancestors footsteps from a lost species finding their place in the stars to creating them. Officially conquering the great frontier by creating frontiers of your own. BUT FUCK GOING BEYOND THE FRONTIER! LET'S MAKE SOMETHING MEDIOCRE!!! BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT FUCKING SPACE EXPLORATION IS!!! MEDIOCRITY!!!!! WHO NEEDS TO TAKE A STEP OUTSIDE WHEN IT'S NICE AND WARM IN MY COMFY ZONE!!!!
Exactly what I was thinking for end game as he showed us the spoiler for it. Shame the devs didn't think of something great like that.
I haven't beaten the game yet, but seeing the ending...I agree it's very disappointing. I've visited a lot of monoliths and have been gathering bits of background lore of all the sentient races, so I was hoping that there was going to be something of a grand reveal.
Like: what are the Atlas? Did you really travel to the center because of curiosity derived from your own free will, or was it because you were called like a moth to a flame by the will of the Atlas? If it's the latter, then why do they need Travelers? Was it all a test of determination? Do they only want certain individuals to learn the secrets of the inner workings of the universe?
You know, something deep and meaningful that would really make you think and leave a lasting impression and not...restart at a new galaxy and repeat everything.
(And God, all these issues. They really needed playtesters.)
+NazoFox2501 Nah Fuck that. What's that you said? Pay off for your hard work, fuck you. Your reward for grinding and waiting is MORE grinding and waiting. this game was the biggest scam of the gaming industry.
Aliens Colonial Marines, The Division, Watch Dogs...
+BeatmasterAC Destiny.
Uh ...destiny
Destiny did not fail to deliver on a bunch of promises, just a few. The main problem with Destiny is that it was simply a bad game that everyone hyped up themselves because it was made by Bungie. No Man's Sky is *completely* different, the developers straight up *lied* about feature after feature over and over to build hype and then failed to deliver on *countless* promises. Destiny was a bad game, not a scam. This game was a scam.

5/10? You serious? It's garbage. 2/10 would maybe still be too much.
5/10 is a fair score. Its a game that didn't meet half the expectations, but is still a great Idea and Technology wise, its amazing.
I agree. This game has sold for millions in preorders based on countless innuendos and straigth lies. To top the cake, we have bugs from hell, crashing, you name it..
You mean like Spore didn't utilize that approach??! Or we don't have games like Minecraft, Diablo 1-3, Borderlands 1-2 and Pre-Sequel, that would use procedural generation mechanic?! What exact great idea and tech breakthrough you are talking about??! Lol Why the hell NMS even takes credit for something, that was innovated like ages before??! Lol
You seem like the person to make an account on

0.5/10*
5/10 is a bit generous don't ya think?
It's a 5/10 game. The game itself is fine. Not a sixty dollar triple A game mind you. More like a 15 or 20 dollar PC alpha.
It really shoulda been a 20 dollar alpha on pc. Then they coulda spent a year or two adding everything they promised and released a finished GOTY Edition on console for 60. The large scale space battles looked so badass.
I say 20 bucks because plenty of similar games in alpha on PC launch at that price point. I've bought games in alpha for 20 that weren't worth that initially but improved massively.
I've never understood why games are launched on consoles broken when they can fix that shit by launching on pc in alpha.
yea way to generious
Isterbollen
let me explain why I think it deserves 2/10
Yes it does have some good stuff, but many other games have those! I mean cmon it's a 15 dollar game and even 15 dollar games have more content. Not to mention ALLL the lies. I mean it was a scam. They do deserve legal punishment but ONLY BECAUSE ITS A GAME they have the power to say "OH SORRY ITS A GAME" to protect them. I mean cmon. I promise to God as a person who is studying law right now, they would be fucked over if this was anything else that wasn't a game. I can't believe people are supporting this game.
I like how the 1st bit of this video is basically serving the game developers a good idea on a silver platter

well i have to say all these years later in 2022, this game has a lot to it now, even survival mode. Which is BRUTAL.
I cannot for the life of me understand why people are defending this game on the premise that people haven't seen all the cool stuff because the game is so huge and the likelihood of finding the cool stuff is so small. WHY WOULD YOU BUY A $60 VIDEO GAME FOR THE ~**CHANCE**~ OF HAVING FUN?? THAT'S GAMBLING NOT GAMING! 35:01 I have seen this review quite a few times over the years, ever since it was released...
Just bought NMS the day before yesterday, wanted to see what changed from a critical point of view.
What an improvement this is now, WOW.
Been very addicted to playing this game for the first time, has to really switch gears doing some much-needed work, or else I would be playing this game for hours to no end without finishing my tasks for the week.
Would be cool to see Joe going back to this game again, not just for a couple of hours in VR, you need to soak in the game to enjoy it, and it is a freaking ocean for you to soak in almost endlessly.
I love Subnautica, but this game surprised me by its deep way more than that one ever did, sure a less focused experience in some regards, but WOW.
I hope they eventually add hundreds if not thousands of base models of alien vegetation....imagine the variation on that.....it's already blowing my mind with what has been added... literally keep coming across new sights after like 50 hours plus....I dodge planets in the anticipation of it being same same up till this update but ...now tho goddamn each planets a surprise...my fav planet was a nuclear planet with jet black bedrock and cliffs it also had toxic green grass....the colours were extremely satisfying to look at...I have been looking for another one like it with no success.
No Mans Sky will go down in history as the worst bundle of broken promises and lies ever in a game.
NightcoreD3stiny 2.and go down in history to AlWAYS HAVE A SAVE DATA ON A BACK FILE. no for real they lost data in a flood NOT a single employee had a back up file. 3. and to make sure THIS TYPE OF GAME NEVER HAPPENS AGAIN BECAUSE ONE MORE AND THE INDUSTRY MIGHT JUST MIGHT START THE SECOND VGI CRASH.

NightcoreD3stiny more people play no man's sky than evolve
Jamie Hughes ya, but at least evolve was what it said it would be.
No it go down the WORST lie and the Worst Game paid FULL PRICE 60 NO answer to THAT
NightcoreD3stiny no I think Aliens: Colonial Marines was an even worst broken promise in a game ever
Even 3/10 is too much
i'd say 3/10 is ok. i found flying creatures, sand planets, and space battles. space battles have RNG to happen when you exit from a warp jump. it's based on luck for this thing to happen and find the flying creatures and sand planets, and as it seems Joe wasn't that lucky
So 8-10 hours is unlucky…it shouldn't take that long
Point is your missing the other BS they missed.
They wouldn't need to rely on space battles only have RNG if they had factions like they promised
he gave it a 5/10
He knows
so basically they did some fake game features in order to try and sell this POS. Guess what, don't buy anything ever from this company or developer.
I Think I played this game in Windows 95, it was called Stars and it normally started after you didn't move the mouse for a while... Yes, Yes i remember it was a Screensaver!!!!
LOL
Me to XD but atleast it didn't crash, No Mans Sky's crashes crash on me
😁😁😁I think
Bro this game needs a revisit. The amount of content added is equal to that of a full on sequel. Maybe even beyond that.
I mean VR support, ground vehicles, customization, larger varied planets, retuned creature ai, more game modes, outposts/ancient buildings, a 30 he campaign, underwater elements, base building, multiplayer, ringed planets, binary systems, lore, fucking sandworms, fleet elements, etc..... the list just runs.
And all for that sweet price of free.
You do realize they promised nearly all of those things you listed on launch, right?
Rodafowa yea, but the point is that Hello Games continued to add content. EA would have split each update as $20 DLC. Activison would have found a way to squeeze in cosmetic loot boxes.
@@first5435 lol it's still the same mind-numbing constant resource gathering under the guise the puddle is deeper than it is. Don't kid yourself. Is it better than launch, sure. But the fundamental issues of the core gameplay, which cannot be changed, are still there.

Instead of 18,446,744,073,709,551,616 procedurally generated planets, I would've been happy with 100 or so really nicely designed planets.
They seemed to put together a whole bunch of really cool planets for their tech demos. Ok, maybe not 100% designed but they were cool.
100 is by no means a huge amount of work these days! Especially with much more advanced hardware we have now! It all comes down to approach! With 100 planets gane scale there is nothing wrong with reusing some of the assets on some of them, so they would be slightly similar! Ten years ago i would say, that 100 planets is way too much to handle, but not these days, that we have advanced tech with much more processing power! And tbh i don't know PS4 or XBox One processing limits, but i can guarantee you it can easily handle at least 400 hand-crafted planets! If you don't believe me wait for Mass Effect Andromeda, which will have around 400 hand-crafted planets (though i suspect some of them will re-use some assets, since its pretty much inevitable, when the number is this high! Still i would take it in a heartbeat if say for any 1 unique looking planet, there will be 10, that would look-alike! 40 unique looking planets and 360 with re-used assets is still pretty good in my book!)...
So basically Star Citizen? robertsspaceindustries.com/starmap
Cryer24597 Game world of Skyrim uses shit loads of textures and different assets in itself, that fits in this entire map! With 100 planets you don't need that much assets and textures to fit into single planet! With biomes limited to one or three maximum per planet, you can easily make 100 hand-crafted planets, that would equal creating the entire map of Skyrim! Its not about size of the world, its about assets and textures and how you spread them between each region of the game! For example you don't need to many assets for the world with single biome, like lets say - lava world! All you need is few assets to make it look cool and lively, then you use another few assets to create the world with another single biome, like water world, composed of nothing, but water (just how many assets would that world need anyway?? I mean like its nothing, but water literally so...) I can go on and on...
Cryer24597 Its not all just about flora and fauna, its everything! The overall feel composed of several elements creates variety enough to make the planet with single biome feel unique and different from others! I have seen gameplay videos of Subnautica and i can already tell you that there weren't much assets and textures used in the entire map, that is why it feels kinda bland and tedious the more you play it! You can definitely put much emore effort than that into one planet with single biome! Other very important detail you completely miss is what you can do on that planet, like missions, activities etc! Granted you will quickly forget about running into copy-paste textures and assets on a planet with single biome if the whole planet would be filled with dynamic and engaging activities! Just make sure, that other activities on another planets with single or limited biomes will be different enough and you won't have to worry about getting bored!...Sure thing if any planet is nothing more, but just boring gathering of menerals and resources (NMS i am looking at you!...) then it doesn't matter if planet will be detailed and will have rich life, flora and fauna as well as multiple biomes! All of that won't matter there will be nothing to do...
