I generally support the Kurds, and I am for an independent Kurdish nation. As an American, I know the Kurds could be a great ally in the region. Also, I do believe the Turkish government has helped ISIS, letting fighters cross their border into Syria, and other such things. However, having said all this, I do not think the Kurds pictured in this video are doing anything productive to help their situation. They are all providing the Turkish people and the Turkish government with a reason to oppose them. Marching was fine. The rioting is counter productive. The Kurds should be smarter. There is a lot of Western pressure on Turkey to help the Kurds and stop ISIS. If the Kurds would quiet down a bit, Turkey would relent.
Harry Holler Like Edward stated, it is actually much more complex. The Kurds are the most tolerant people in the Middle East, and the most oppressed. If it wasn`t for the ypg (Kurdish Protection Units) on the border of Syria-Turkye and Syria-Iraq, The Christian (assyrian) minority would have been massacred and left extinct in the region. What you see in the video is youngsters expressing their hatred towards the racist government. Ofcourse It isn`t the most productive way to express their anger, but you must understand that this is the product of decades and decades of oppression, dating all the way back just after World War 1. Since 1921 till this day, Turks have murdered over 2.6 million Kurds. What about the Greeks.... over 1million,... Assyrians over 1 million. Armenian Genocide .... over 2.5 million. The West have backed Turkey due to global interests. Now, that`s about to change.
Ballen Saleh yes, agree with you. I understand the complexities that you mentioned. I ignored the previous person that made them comment "it is much more complex than that". I just allowed this person to bask in their self-indulging narcissistic pseudo-intellectualism, because of course it is more complex than what I stated. However, this is the comments section, not a scholarly magazine in which I could write a ten page article. With respect to your point about the West's view of the Turkish government, there was an interesting article published Thursday on the US website, Politico. It is a 2 page article describing how Erdogan has become a dictator. So, yes, the U.S. Is turning against Erdogan and the AKP.

actually they are pretty peaceful in this demonstration. normally they make their entire neighborhood unlivable by burning everything down. and then complain about why turkish government dont do anything for them.
I personally don't like the majority of kurds when it comes to politics.... all they care about is having their own state. I lived in Syria most my life..... and anyone who has any idea about the Syrian society knows that kurds weren't treated badly at all. Nevertheless; they made peace with the criminal Assad regime for the sake of having their "own state". And they didn't bat an eye wile Sunnis were being slaughtered literally meters away.
Basically the Syrian government had 4 types of citizen classes. 1st Alaweits. 2nd Christians. 3rd Sunnis. and 4th Kurds. You could easily see the difference by checkign the city services in each neighbourhood. No jobs for Kurds, no high-rank positions in the army or government, strip them from their land in the north-eastern part of the country, and last but not least, forbid their language.

Turkey doesn't need to see how brave the Kurds are. They need to see that they can live alongside them, if not as kin, than as allies. Neither wants IS to succeed, but the only way there will ever be a Kurdistan is if that corresponding segment of the former empire in Iraq is sepearated for them. Turkey does not owe them a slice of their sovereign territory, but Iraq kinda sorta does. It wouldn't be the entirety, but it would be their own nation at last. Fighting for a target such as 'the greater Kurdistan' is nothing more than a fantasy as long as Turkey and Iran, the two deep-rooted countries of the region with thousands of years government tradition stand strong. Today a vast majority of the Kurds in Turkey's south east do not share the same idealistic ground with the PKK. It should not be forgotten that 'the 'power' is still an important parameter in the region and people of this region have a natural tendency towards the 'strong player' in the most cases. I guess, this is one of the reasons for the US government to openly describe the YPG as its ''ground force' in Syria. The PKK dealt a major blow in the recent Turkish army operations in and out of the country.. Their supply line, ability of military vigilance and finally the course of action were critically blocked. It is not hard to predict that they can also lose their political allies in the radical left as long as they maintain their tactical partnership with the US. We should think realistic and stick on the truth. These young people, do they fight for a Greater Kurdistan or the US 'Kurdish Corridor' project which aims secured transportation of the northern Iraqi oil into the eastern Mediterranean? Kurdish youth should stop fighting for vulture capitalists, their multi-national consortiums and finally Kurdish compradors.

And if you think that the Kurds doesn't have rights in Turkey, you must be a fool! The fertility rates in South east Turkey are 3,42 Children per Woman while the fertility rates in the rest of Turkey are under 2 per Woman. Throughout the west and north of the country Turkey, birth rates decrease massively, Exceptions to this are some cities that turn a large Kurdish migration saw in recent decades, which in turn means that the Kurdish immigrant in the western regions also have a higher population growth, what kind of Turkey does, well, the differences are greater than those between Arabs and Jews in Israel. The birth rates in some western regions is far broken that it can be assumed that the Turkish population element starts to decrease already in the 5 to 10 years. +Dillar Gamerking Turkey is not now suddenly a mixed area with many types populations. That was for centuries. And they always lived together in peace! If you wish to appoint someone in Turkey you say "a Turk", as in China for example, you also have a chinese but there live also minorities such as the Uyghurs but you still call them a chinese when you speak about the people in China. The Kurds in Turkey, also other minorities, have been fought several centuries together against foreign invaders. But then they were also kurds, but there was no talk about differences. One hundred years ago the Kurds were support by foreigns(British ...) so that they would commit a revolt and accelerate the fall of the Osman Empire. But that they would have their own land for their help, was a lie. They did not help them and fought together with the Turks against them in, as exemple Canakkale. You should consult multiple sources before you can say anything. For example: If you only hear the story behind the gangsters, the Mafia in America . You would think the rest is bad. Because they want also protect the people. And if you just look at this video and hear only what these people say, you do the same. The population does matter for a country, but you have minorities in each country. If you will classify a country for any minority, you would have a lot more countries in Europe. So the Kurds, including multiple populations, are divided into several areas. According to Wikipedia, and other sources, they share that 20% of the population is Kurdish. I'm not saying this is little. But not every Kurd wants to divide Turkey and other countries, to make their own land. I don't hear that the Kurds want to divide the land in Iran. The Pkk has there little to say. But the president in Turkey instead wanted to agree with them to stop terrorize the country. And as mentioned earlier, is if that you think that the PKK the Kurds reflects, then you are wrong. Because if you look at the attacks of the PKK, you see that they usually happen in the southeast of Turkey. And with your source, we can say that ther live Kurdish majorities. And there are therefore usually murdered Kurds than Turks. That they abduct young children to mountains and the "womens" rape is a fact. The kidnapped youths also tend to have a Kurdish roots.
+Dillar Gamerking The Ottoman empire was a sultanate, so you could be a vasal or a sultan. Not representative? The loved teacher of Fatih sultan Mehmed was Kurdish. He educated him and he could punish him if he didn't pay attention. Gurani was the fourth Shaykh al Islam and also the chief judge. Did you saw a slave who could punish the most important men from that time? His name is Molla Gurani. Search in Google. This was just a example. There were a lot more people like him who was Kurdish. The Sultans of the Ottoman Empire did not matter of wich ethnic origin you were. They looked how good he was or not. How do you know that the Kurds want to divide the country? The Kurds in Iraq are postive about joining Turkey, If Turkey make attention for Musul.

in the middle east, they basically hate each other on basis of sectarianism rather than nationalism, in my opinion as a Syrian.
Idiot. Let's take away your property, your home and send you to siberia in cattle car by train in the winter cold without water and food.

Kemal Akar ALLAH FUCK! FUCK!
***** Very intelligent response.
i think that this whole situation is 1000x more complex than you seem to realize. the kurds and the turks have hated each other for quite a long time.

You cannot be stupid and think that the pkk is linked with the Kurds! The Turkish population doesn't have problems with the REAL Kurds and vice versa! And if you think that the Kurds doesn't have rights in Turkey, you must be a fool!
They can follow lessons teached in Kurdish, watch official tv channels spoken in Kurdish and become anything they wanted to be in Turkey. A lot of minister are Kurdish, even there were Kurdish presidents. You could be anything if you do it well! But if you(pkk) terrorize a country, you will always have a reaction!
+everything channel But the kurdish population is growing,.
27,1% of all births comes from the eastern part of Turkey, the predominantly Kurdish area.
The fertility rates in South east Turkey are 3,42 Children per Woman while the fertility rates in the rest of Turkey are under 2 per Woman.
Throughout the west and north of the country Turkey, birth rates decrease massively, Exceptions to this are some cities that turn a large Kurdish migration saw in recent decades, which in turn means that the Kurdish immigrant in the western regions also have a higher population growth,
what kind of Turkey does, well, the differences are greater than those between Arabs and Jews in Israel.
The birth rates in some western regions is far broken that it can be assumed that the Turkish population element starts to decrease already in the 5 to 10 years.
That means even in the west of the country, the Kurdish population share continue to increase,
According to another statistic derived from the total of 22.7 million east and southeast (absolute majority Kurds) Turkey,
8.7 million have been migrated to the West, and there are always more.
Even Istanbul could eventually still have in our lifetime a Kurdish majority.
www.hurriyetdailynews.com/birth-rate-higher-in-poorer-provinces.aspx?pageID=238&nID=33275&NewsCatID=344
Women in Southeastern Anatolia, however, are having the most babies, at an average of 3.42 children each, compared to the 1.55 children per woman in the western Marmara region. Marmara is the region with the lowest amount of babies per woman. In 2011 the average age of women having babies in the country as a whole was calculated to be 27.3 years of age.
But these details are the most important.
Here the provinces are shown, who contrary to the trend shows an increase in the birth rate,
What all of these provinces have in common, they are coveted immigration targets for Kurds
The Turkish provinces that registered the highest increase in birth rates were the following: Tekirdağ (41 percent), Kocaeli (20 percent),Antalya (www.hurriyetdailynews.com/tag/Antalya)(19 percent), Gaziantep (18 percent), Istanbul (www.hurriyetdailynews.com/tag/Istanbul) (12 percent), and Bursa (10 percent).

The Kurds in Iraq are postive about joining Turkey, If Turkey make attention for Musul.
rioting and attacking police will help the people in kobane.
"We have to keep resisting on the streets. If the PKK are in the mountains and the YPG are in Kobane, we are on these streets, fighting."---> that is funny.

What kind of technique is that at 7:32? A hop, skip, and a jump?
Just for the show. In the end, I dont think a molotov thrown at the Turkish police will stop ISIS advance in Kobane, no?
The YDG-H are just a bunch of young kiddos playing anarchy and war games in their own circle. We should have let them cross to Kobane, maybe Turkey would be a better place now.
@Rüçhan Ok did you do it yet
Turks will be angry and all kurdish and islamic guys run to syria. :)

One of the militans walk through to house and responds back with a threatining voice : ' Send your boy outside, first ' He asks for the guy's boy to join them or he just simply threatens the guy with his boy's life. Why there's no subtitle in that part ? I should translate this channel's videos into turkish. They have poor turkish ^^

Dear sir PKK isn't a communist party . It is fascist party of Tatlı su k*rtleri. They all are racists (mean members of pkk) If they have power they will kill all innocent people. It is no different with PKK and Hitler's Waffen SS
Rip Man not true stop murdering kurds
@@ripman2731 did you smoked crack before writing that nonsense, please get cancer we dont need dump people like you
In a perfect world Turkey would give back the lands they stole from the Kurds, and all of this nonsense would stop. But that won't happen as it was a key factor (to not recognize the Kurdish claim on some land) for the Atatürk rebellion/revolution, which the modern borders of Turkey are based on. But hey, at least you Turks got an never ending war out of this, always something!
this is why I love news because you will never see this type of reporting on MSM

The thing which makes me sad is "muslims fighting with muslims" . Allah says in the Quran"killing an innocent sole is like killing the whole humanity. My request to all my muslim brothers and sisters please live peacefully with each other , every soul is equal doesn't matters if it's Turkish or Kurdish. May Allah guide us to the right path.
There is no need to be upset because these terrorists are not Muslims, they are Marxist atheists, Muslim Kurds sit at home like people.
You stupid. Do you think this communist pkk ypg scumbags are Muslim. All of these are infidels
