I use a ton of different cameras for work and I shoot on a Z8 personally... I am astounded at the quality of the S5iix. We bought one for work, and it is a highly underrated camera. It simply doesn't get the love it deserves, and Panasonic stabilization is the best on the market hands-down.
That's why I'm saving up for my first Lumix system. They have done some great jobs on their camera models and it is truly impressive. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
If you using Lumix lenses and you want avoid focus hunting I recommend to tweak some setting like this Speed +3 Senstivity +3 On sigma lenses it works much better on default settings.
I think that Lumix is quietly building a really good user experience before releasing the more "pro" expensive cameras. Lately, with the frequent firmware updates, I've been amazed with the number of situations I can use my camera in . And, it's actually fun to use. With waveforms , the promise of multiple frame markers and even more algorithms for autofocus -it does honestly feel like they are headed in the right direction. I definitely think that both new ppl and "pros" should consider a used or new gh7 /s5iix given the price and features they offer. Even if you just rent one to try out. They may not offer the resolution/framerates of cameras at higher price points, but they offer a ton of great (and actually usable) features for the price. It's tempting to just want Panny to release an S1H mk II. As a long-time user, though, what would really be nice to see would be for them to take more of the market. Honestly, I don't know if they'd actually sell a lot of an S1HII right now with all the new bodies released by their competition.
Hey! Great video. I didn’t realize you could use the Sigma 18-35 on full-frame bodies! I love it and use it with my Lumix MFT cameras. But since it’s a DC lens, meaning it’s built for APS-C sensors, doesn’t it fail to cover the full area of a full-frame sensor? Does that affect the image? Do you have to crop in, or how did you work around this? I’d really love to know-thanks in advance!
@@tomwylder Hey, thanks man, yes this lens is for aps-c but when you use it with a full frame camera it automatically go to super 35 crop mode, this scenario is not ideal but even with crop you still can great results and even tho I have other full frame lenses more often than not I still choose to use the sigma as I like the image and it balances very well on a gimbal
Why did TH-camrs say when the Lumix S5 II got teleased, that the AF is as good and even better than Sony. Why should i trust them, when they always exaggerate.

I would like to ask a favor, could you hook me up somehow with the V-Log files of scenes at 0:03 and 0:48 or if its possible with more footage from this video would be extra cool. I just want to try and do a HDR 10 workflow in DaVinci on them to see how dynamic range looks, those scenes with the sun have nice highlights and i love at 0:48 hot the sun iluminates the ground. They will be used just by me, not making them public or anything else, after grading in HDR10 i will share them with you if you want to see how they ended up, they should look pretty good on an OLED display. Please?

This tests helps a lot but doing a side by side comparison with a Sony will be even better (I know it's tough).On a separate note, what do you think about Sigma FP compared to Panasonic S5iiX in terms of color grading?

I would guess he’s shooting all intra and a cranked shutter for added sharpness. He’s obviously in apsc mode. When I had that camera, the 1080 modes were very impressive

Changed my mind in 2011 with a GH2.
The AF did pretty well with a non-native adapted lens.

Did you use ND filter when you were shooting in more light? Do you use shutter angle too?
Nd for some shots and shutters for a few shots, I just felt on the moment what looked better
