"...soft..." You are correct, partially. BTS is soft but also hard, deep, shallow, political, fun, hip hop, r & b, jazz, classical, pop, edm, latin, and too many other adjectives to list here. Their discography is 300-400 songs. They all have solo songs within their albums and outside of the group. They have changed the standard and made history that no one can top. I suggest you stop sleeping on them like I did. To think I almost missed the biggest underdog story of triumph EVER and the biggest band that music has ever seen. This band is like Michael Jackson, Prince, Freddy Mercury, Rik Rubin, Quincy Jones... BTS members are all at this level and the greatest human beings that love and support one another that is just so wholesome the BTS effect pierces your heart. You won't regret it, I promise.

They don't have a Lead or Main guy in BTS but they do have a leader (RM) which isn't the same as western boybands. The leader motivates the team while communicating between the team and the label. They also have not gone solo, they have always released solo music over their ten years together but they are in somewhat of an "off period" in order to serve mandatory military service.

RM (LEADer) & MAIN rapper along with SUGA being MAIN rapper, JHOPE is lead rapper/subvocalist/danceline leader/MAIN dancer along with JIMIN, JIN is vocalist/dancer, JIMIN is LEAD vocalist/MAIN dancer, JUNGKOOK is MAIN vocalist/LEAD dancer/subrapper and V is also LEAD dancer/vocalist. So, yes they do.

There's no "Justin Timberlake" in BTS. that's the beauty of it. They're all individually amazing as a soloist, which is why when they are together as a group, they are a super group. Imagine 7 Justin Timberlakes but better as they all excel in their own area. Agust D is known for his raw lyrics and style. He is known for going hard. RM raps poetically. His lyrics are thought provoking. Jhope's rap has a lyrical flow. Then there are the vocalists that have their own styles too. Then you have the sub groups that can dance on another level, and some that are just born performers. People associate BTS as any other boy band so they don't give them a chance. but if you open your mind and give a few of their songs a try, you will realize that they are more then your typical boy band. personally, i'm really enjoying their solo stuff, and can't wait to see what they bring to the table after military and reunite as a group with all the stuff they learned as a soloist
also, when i first started listening to bts i also thought the songs were a little soft. but then i gave the rap line a chance, and was impressed. then went back to the bts stuff and it was much better after realizing that their songs go deeper then at first listen. I have an appreciation for it now. i believe when they reunite, their songs will be more mature sounding

bts didnt break away/break up theyre still very much a group while all having successful solo careers theyre nothing like western boybands. they write and produce their own music both group and solo. bts are best friends/brothers theyre very supportive of each others solo careers and have no jealousy or ego which is how theyve lasted so long and are able to do their own things while still being a group. theyve been a group since 2013 and have been making solo music since 2015.
suga/agust d is on a solo tour right now and jimin attended a few of the shows to support him from the audience. the reason why theyre all focused solo right now is cause theyre going into the military two members are already in the military its mandatory in korea. after each solo release theyll all eventually enlist. when they all get out theyre gonna get back together as a group. western boybands break up cause they dont have creative freedom and dont like being in a group. bts have taken a break due to military aka not their choice so once they can they will start making group music again.

Im 42 years old and I have been a BTS fan since 2014/2015 way before they came over here. My daughter was going to move to south Korea so we dived into the culture as much as we could. So many people dismiss BTS as a boy band/pop group but each one of them holds AMAZING ABILITIES AND TALENT and they have some music that would rival the best rappers out there. Their remake of JColes Born Sinner into BTSs Born Singer is amazing and tells the struggle.
RM has some bangers too. Not for kids ears though...lol...

I'd highly recommend you check out UGH, Cyphers 1-4, Outro: Tear, Ddaeng, Hip Hop Phile, Born Singer, Spinebreaker. They debuted as a hip hop group and so their earlier stuff is really moreso like that. If you do more of the rapline solos, I'd recommend Joke by RM, Agust D by Suga, and Arson by J-Hope.
If you do UGH or Ddaeng please do the DKDKTV "Explained by a Korean" with it. That way you get the full cultural breakdown of the lyrics and wordplay.

The Agust D trilogy is Daechwita, Haegeum, and Amygdala (here he is telling the story of dealing with his past trauma, 90% of the scene in the MV is based on real life story of SUGA). Also, BTS' root is hip-hop, but as you guessed they explored other genres as well, hence resulting in a very extensive, wide and rich discography, there is a place for every type of fan. If you are more into Hip hop and R&B, then you may want to start from the rap line of BTS (SUGA, RM, and JHope), luckily they all have their unit songs in BTS albums, as well as their own individual albums and mixtapes. The king is again gained power being a high ranking corrupt police officer (as he is leaving the police station the other cops solute him indicating high rank) But at the end Agust D once again out smarted the cop by laying a trap by getting the king's men to turn on him/by replacing them with his own men. It could also be that he was an undercover/rogue cop because he got a lift in a cop car in the end. So it could be a metaphor for the continued fight against his inner self or maybe social problems.

Min Yoongi is his real name (Yoongi is his first name)
He was born on March 9th, 1993 in town called Daegu, so that makes him 30
Both his stage names are connected
Suga represents *shooting guard* his love for basketball made him choose this stage mabe
AgustD represents his BTS stage name + the name of his home town so it's Daegu Town Suga (AgustD)
There is a third song to this trilogy, first one was Daechwita, second is Haegum and the third one is called Amygala
The third one talks about his past, his hardships and struggles, and how he became the person he is today, so it's like a prequal to daechwita and haegum.
He has released 2 solo mixtapes prior to this album.
    AgustD (2016)

To be honest, the "big" songs of BTS that exploded in the US were the ones the US industry "let" them explode only bc they were in English. Otherwise, even their softer sounding songs are lyrically deep. And because they are hiphop based, many of their older stuff will be to your liking but also, most of their new stuff too, have hiphop elements. If you are talking with Anthony, im sure he will give you the ones you may like. But in general; know that many rapline songs also exist in the BTS discography. Some are hard hitting, some are softer just like AgustD, RM and J-Hope's own discographies. Since not all songs they make sound the same. You can take a look at their own songs of the three, or can check out more "BTS" songs to see the integration like; mic drop, trivia love, her, fake love, TEAR (especially suggesting), Black Swan (another hard suggestion), paradise, cyphers (4 of them), Am I wrong, Not Today, ON, Ma City, Hiphop Phile, Tomorrow, N.O, Shadow, Respect, Dis-ease, Born Singer (re-make of J Cole's Born Sinner), Run BTS and Come Back Home (re-make of Seo Taji's song)

When it comes to BTS, there are always really a lot of things to say, especially when someone has no idea about their music and the members, I know that you've listened to a few bts songs but you haven't really heard anything yet, never assume what is their sound after listening to couple of songs because it's impossible, and these songs you reacted to can be counted on the fingers of one hand. They have a lot of songs I repeat A LOT (300+), and that includes many music genres, such as: "Pop, Hip-Hop/rap, R&B / Soul, EDM, Latin Pop, Ballad,...+". As you've probably read in other comments bts started as hip hop group. The group consists of 7 members including 3 rappers and 4 vocalists, and yes 2 of the rappers(RM and SUGA/AGUSTD) before joining bts they belonged to the underground rap scene.
Anthony Ray, thank you for recommending this song to him, I am waiting for more.😂

BTS is a 7 member group who is now in their 10th year with a 350+ track discography largely written and produced by the members themselves conjoined by their inhouse producers. The leader 'RM' has 210+ credits making him the youngest most credited artist in Korea and the rest of the members are not far behind. BTS is known for being extremely profound at articulating what they introspect and composing it into the sound they with their artistic knowledge believe will deliver the emotion of their lyricsm. They began with their roots in hiphop but have experimented their way into currently having above 10+ genres in their discography with the main being hiphop, pop, r&b and electronic, but majority of the time its a fusion of these genres, or their subgenres. Like latin pop, old school hiphop with boom bap, rap rock, dance pop, ballads, emo hiphop, jazz etc. Since they articulate so well, their music is very human oriented adressing extreme mental health issues (all they way from comforting, motivating, to eery delivery with raw mvs that youtube asks for viewers discretion), sociopolitical commentary etc. Their discography shows the growth from school boys to the tribulations of youth, to addressing temptation, to reaching maturity, to loving onself, to finding the core essence of the mind (i work in the field of psychology and i have yet to find an artist that is as profound as bts in accurately potraying psychological themes) to fighting the pandemic to now doing solo albums as each of the bts members complete their mandatory military. They will come back as a group in 2025!
    I highly recommend watching

The word"Haegeum" has a double meaning. On one side, it’s a traditional Korean string instrument that he uses for the track but it also means "“allowing/unlocking something that was forbidden” or lifting a prohibition

This song is layered like a wedding cake. But here is the short version.
-Main theme of this new album is to encourage people to live in the present. Stop comparing yourself to others on social media.
Get rid of that background “noise” that may be holding you back. Free yourself from it. Don’t let it control you.
You want more freedom? (Ok but remember liberty does not equal license.)
Perhaps we should also try not to be slaves to capitalism, prejudice, hatred, money, and TH-cam. Again free yourself. And yes, he is speaking to himself as well.
There is also the legend of the Agust D scar, what each character represents, 3 Suga egos, the movie ScarFace/Tony Montana, The Dark Knight and perhaps an Old Boy reference but that’s for the unabridged edition.
I will leave you with a Dark Knight Joker quote as he burns a huge pile of money just like Agust D does here in Haegeum-
“It’s not about the money, it’s about sending a message.”
    Message received Suga!
    (Suga=AgustD=Min Yoongi) 30yo

Get to know them with the Guide to BTS by Taylor. It's really well done👌
As for BTS songs lyrics... look under the cover and the sweet and soft melodies. You'll find really deep thoughts engraved in their 300+ songs discography.
They have deep hip hop roots but evolved. They write and sing all genre. 3ach one has a distintive voice and tone. There is a song for everybody.
All members contribute to the lyrics but Suga, RM (were underground rappers) and JHope (former street dancer) are the most involved.

Agust D never really had to stop and get back to his roots. That's the best part about being in BTS. They get creative freedom. He was making mixtapes with music like this while in BTS, he had solo work on BTS albums, and he does some of the writing and producing on many BTS songs. He's not the only member with solo mixtapes or albums either. They have range. If you don't like one genre, BTS had enough songs that you can find something in another genre. Pop tends to be the gateway into BTS because it's the only music from them that the western charts and radio will accept. Especially if the song is in majority Korean, it has a much lower chance of seeing the light of day in the general public. Anyone who wants to find more of BTS other kind of songs will have to seek it out actively.

All members of BTS have been releasing personal solo projects for a long time, the earliest in 2015 with RM's mixtape, and they've each achieved success with these solo work.
Agust D's album "D-Day", where this song is from, was #2 on Billboard 200 and #1 on Top Rap Album. He's also killing it on his sold-out tour, earning praise in concert reviews for showing his artistry and a unique stage set-up.
His fellow member Jimin had a #1 song on Billboard 100 with "Like Crazy" last April, the first Korean soloist in history to do that. His album "Face" was also #2 on Billboard 200.
Fellow rapper J-hope released "Jack in the Box", a masterful storytelling of an album, and headlined Lollapalooza last July, the first Korean act to do that. His stage presence electrified the audience, both fans and newcomers. The album was #17 on Billboard 200 and #4 on Top Rap Albums.
Fellow rapper RM's "Indigo" was #3 album on Billboard 200, a wonderful journey through the genres where he recruits artists like Erykah Badu, Anderson Paak, and veteran Korean artists, each perfectly suited to each track, showing a true musical vision.
Singer Jin released a single "The Astronaut", co-written by Coldplay and performed the song in a Coldplay stadium concert in Argentina. The two bands are very close friends.
Jungkook performed "Dreamers" at the World Cup opening ceremony, the largest sporting event in the world.
V's song "Sweet Night" holds the record for most #1 iTunes (reached #1 in 119 countries).
Jungkook and V plan to release their albums later this year, and I'm sure their work will also see the same success as the works of their brothers before them.
Despite the success of these solo works, they choose to stay together as a group. They've frequently expressed their wish to be BTS for as long as possible, into their old age.

BTS as a group actually have a diverse portfolio of music. They're incredibly versatile and their group performances can go very hard. The rappers (RM, Suga, and J-Hope) have the heavier songs for sure - and they do a lot in three's - "Intro: Persona," "Interlude: Shadow," And "Outro: Ego" should be done one after the other. They show a progression in their development, which is very interesting. Those should all have MVs. Then, you have Cypher 1, 2, 3, and 4, which are also best done in order because there's a progression of flow. Cyphers are the shit!! Most are to be watched live.
"Outro: Tear" live version (I prefer the black clothing performance) is an amazing song.
Then individually, anything by Suga really 🤣🤣 All his mixtapes are fire. And, for RM "Joke" and "Do You" stand out.

I discovered BTS by accident and curiosity got me to listen to more, Captions on, from there I was lost. They are fantastic musicians, they can sing, rap & dance, they often write their own lyrics and are often involved in the production.
Their lyrics, often focus on personal and social commentary, touch on the themes of mental health, troubles of school-age youth and coming of age, loss, the journey towards loving oneself, and individualism. Their work also often references literature and psychological concepts and includes an alternative universe storyline.
"BTS," actually stands for the words, "Bangtan Sonyeondan," which translates to mean "Bulletproof Boy Scouts." 'Bangtan’ means to be resistant to bullets, so it means to block out stereotypes, criticisms, and expectations that aim on adolescents like bullets, to preserve the values and ideal of today’s adolescents,"
They started out as a HipHop group in 2013, first single No More Dreams, followed by We are Bulletproof Part 2 (they have 3 rappers, 2 of which were from the Korean underground rap scene & 4 Vocalists) but actually cover so many genres of music in addition to HipHop, invluding Pop, EDM, Rap, RnB, Rock, Urban, Trap, Ballads... they say not everyone will like all BTS songs, but there is a BTS song for everyone.
For anyone willing to find out more I recommend taking a look at what they have to offer and suggest the following (in addition to their first released songs, they were such babies then, Jungkook was 14/15, Jimin & Taehyung 16/17):
      Mic Drop with Steve Aoki
      Dope
      Fire
      Danger
      DNA
      Idol
      Blood Sweat and Tears
      On Kinetic Manifesto prima
      Black Swan
      Fake Love
      Not Today
      Save Me
      Truth Untold
Spring Day (which has spent 5 consecutive years in Goan's Digital Chart's)
      Your Eyes Tell
The Cyphers if you like rap
      Outra Tear at Wembley Stadium
      Then solo works:
      Jungkook - Euphoria, My Time
V - Singularity, Stigma (live version), Sweet Night (the first and only song in history to top 119 countries on the worldwide iTunes chart) I
Suga's alter ego Agust D - Daewitcha, Agust D, The Last, Shadow
      RM - Persona, Joke
J-Hope - Boy Meets Evil, More, Arson
      Jin - Epiphany, Abyss
      Jimin - Serendipity, Filter

I’ve been looking through the comments and I still haven’t found one that explains the meaning of Haegeum. Yes, it’s an instrument, but “Haegeum” also means allowing/unlocking something that was forbidden. In an interview Yoongi (AgustD) said “The word “Haegeum” came to me when I was young. I played rhythm games, I loved rhythm action games. When beating a certain stage, you’d unlock a forbidden song, then you could play a new rhythm. It was a “freedom from the forbidden.” Why don’t I try and break free from those things?”

Min Yoongi/Suga is a lyricist Genius! Not only does he write and produce most of the music for BTS, but his lyrics are really deep, too. Yes, BTS has fun, "soft" pop songs, but they also have a 10-year catalog of music on any subject matter or genre you can think of... they've/Yoongi tapped into a lot of different music and added traditional Asian musical instruments, as well. That puts a unique stamp on their music. One of the things I forgot to mention is that they're funny as Hell and are more like a brotherhood with each other. What they put each other through, like real siblings, is Hilarious!

You should hear all 3 BTS Rappers spitting bars via their Cyphers, and ugg and Ddeang and more. BTS are drenched in Hip Hop both RM and Suga (aka Agust D) were underground Rappers. Every single member of BTS is a soloist in their own right but they work as group and also put out solo work which they all support and it helps them continue to grow as artists. All 7 member of BTS are Song Writers, Composer's and Producers. Hell one member even Directed one of BTS's MV's. Suga (aka Agust D) produced the story board for Heageum which is the 2nd track in a triliogy, Dwitecia being the first, then Heageum and finally Amydgala.
They have not disbanded, as each one goes off to do his military service they are putting out their solo work when they all return from their military service they'll be back together again working together again.
All 7 member's of BTS are solo artist's so have always put out solo projects and have solo's within BTS albums and sub unit work within BTS Albums. They don't have ego's, that's why they are a global super group.
They are not a western boy band. Enjoy and welcome to the rabbit hole that is BTS.

You asked how old he is. He is 30. BTS does have some very pop-y pop songs but they also have some very hard hip hop songs. Particularly the rap line (RM, Suga, and J-Hope). You would probably mess with some of those. Sadly, many of them do not have music videos but you can find live performances with English subtitles that have even more impact. Because BTS live is even better than BTS recorded in the studio. My very favorite it the performance of Outro: Tear live at Wembly Stadium with English Subtitles. But The BTS Ciphers 1-4 (particularly 2 & 3, although 4 also has it’s own charm) Ddang, and Ugh! With their DKDKTV explanation videos to break down the metaphors and references in the songs for non Koreans.

Actually most BTS songs are not 'happy'. I mean there's hype songs but are Trojan horse because they're really social commentary, satire or even roasting their fans. One Korean person actually said lots of BTS songs are infused with feeling of 'Han' that you mentioned, which is a complex mixture of melancholy, struggle, survival and hope, that's resulted from living through S.Korean history of war and colonization. Please check out more of BTS discography, fellow Army has recommended great ones here in the comments. Looking forward to more 💜

  • @flikasingh9596
    @flikasingh9596 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Yes it’s a trilogy! Explainer:
Ok so it’s a trilogy for Min Yoongi’s (Suga of BTS) persona Agust D. It’s about who Agust D is and also in a way who yoongi is and is and what he has to say
    daechwita haegeum and amygdala.
Amygdala is technically a prequel to both this songs but needs to be watched last.
So a lil background. Suga created Agust D to talk about things he couldn’t talk as part of BTS this isn’t because he felt trapped in BTS or anything but because as a group the 7 guys have to talk as a group and not really just individuals alone. They let their personalities shine but at the same time they are respectful and mindful that it’s not imposing on one another.
So Agust D was born prior to his official solo album D-Day that haegeum is the title track to be released D1 and D2 albums as mixtapes free for Army. Daechwita is part of D2.
Part 1 Daechwita: Here both the characters the king and the other one has a scar on their face and both are angry. But one’s anger is corrupt and violent AKA the king and the other uses words but not violence directed towards anything and everything. The hero character kills the king in the end who was wasting a valuable emotion - anger.
The hero is against the corrupt and the wrong that leads to mass destruction in the aim of influence.
Part 2 Haegeum: we see here again two more characters but this time only one has the Scar the other one doesn’t. This may mean either the corrupt king could not be really killed as it’s a cycle and the wrong keeps repeating like in matrix Mr. Smith or alternatively it can mean the hero who fought corruption in Daechwita ultimately got corrupted as well because that’s how the world rolls. In the Haegeum the anger in lyrics is not towards haters but towards the system and how that has affected the people to do things that they do. He kills with the chopstick and eats with it. So to speak that everything he just spoke in the lyrics ultimately to survive we have to partake in the system to survive. Kill to survive. Kill to eat. In this the scar face corrupt detective who was actually behind the money laughs before he dies probably knowing well that just like last time in daechwita he can’t ever really die and will come back.
Part 3 Amygdala th-cam.com/video/IX1dkYoLHVs/w-d-xo.html : it’s a super personal song for suga and he has spoken in his documentary that it was the most difficult to write as it brings back his traumas.
But the song also shows us the origin of Agust D will explain that shortly but first some background for the music video scenes.
Suga when he was still a trainee with big hit and BTS hadn’t debuted, to make ends meet he used to work as a food delivery person. Big Hit was almost hitting bankruptcy anyway as they were very small. So suga one day met with a car accident that lead to his shoulder getting severely injured. But he hid that from everyone for years actually he lied at the time that he had just fallen off the stairs. He lied because he thought if the company got to know they will take him out as surely to fix his shoulder it would not just require money but also puts him in a spot where he probably won’t be able to dance or perform as well as others. And suga needed to make it in the group. Only after many years did he actually get a surgery done so for years he suffered with the pain from that accident.
Amygdala is a part of the brain that’s in charge of storing experiences and kind of learning how to respond to similar situations basis them. So our trauma is stored there and fear stems from those traumas for similar situations.
In the video the person stuck in the void is his merories and trauma and that’s the person that gives himself a scar on the face. The scar is the symbolism to feeling broken hurt and ultimately angry. Basically that’s Agust D from all the traumas and self doubted a creation that was filled with anger anger towArds a lot of things and around people.
Amygdala is the prequel but also it’s the end of Agust D as the last song for now as Suga mentioned that he is not angry towards things anymore he is a calmer happier person. And this comes from the fact that he worked on his trauma and has moved on the song therefore is his catharsis and hence it’s the story of the beginning but it’s the song of the end.
Hope this helps you get to know our meow meow suga min yongi better.
He is a wonderful human being who endured a lot suffered from social anxiety and even ADHD atleast from what I have heard the other Army say. He is a person who has opened up a lot in his mix tapes and he has least to say saved a lot of people with his music.
For every member of BTS the lyrics are the most important it would be a wonderful journey for you if you read and understand what they say through their music.
They say you never find BTS. BTS finds you. That means they find you at a life stage where you really needed to be found. Their music their personality helps you feel better know yourself better and love yourself better.
As one of the members had said once. Out of 7 remember that atleast one of us will understand you. And you will feel that as you keep listening and seeing them.
We Welcome you in their universe and hopefully you will be true and authentic.
    Thank you

Loved the reaction! Agust D / Suga / Min Yoongi is something else alright. But everyone in BTS is super talented and I think you'll especially like the rap line songs: the cyphers (there's 4), UGH!, Ddaeng and their solo work. Dynamite is a nice song, but it by far doesn't give you a good idea of what BTS is like. I would never have suggested that to you as an intro to them. Dynamite isn't even in my top 20 of BTS songs to be honest.

Loved this reaction!! I apologize for this long asf comment I just really love agustd and BTS so it ended up being a gd essay, I couldn’t stop 😂😅
I’m glad you went deep into the lyricism, it’s something that really sets them apart from others- their rapline came from the underground scene and learned rap from listening to a lot of iconic western rappers which is why their flows are on point. (nas, Tupac, biggie, jayz, Eminem, Kendrick, jcole etc). They have a song called ‘hip hop phile’ where they shoutout all their idols and reference a lot of songs/albums that inspired them, tbh I don’t know them but I’m sure you both would (I honestly didn’t listen to rap much until BTS and they actually opened me up to it more haha).
I’m not sure what you’ve listened to from BTS as a group, but they’ve definitely got some harder songs from the rapline worth checking out! The BTS discography is VAST (over 300 songs) so there are definitely some more you might like. Some are certainly softer if the are focused on utilizing the four vocalists more so than the rapline, but the lyrics ALWAYS hit- tbh dynamite is actually the one song that the rapline DIDNT have a hand in writing lyrically, it was essentially just a fun pop song all in English to break into the US market (which it did!!)- but their Korean music is wayyyy better!
Some BTS rapline songs I love that have music videos as well: Interlude shadow, intro persona, intro boy meets evil
    >>More w/o videos: UGH, DDaeng, Cypher Pt 3 & 4, intro nevermind, like, born singer (jcole cover/rework, they changed all the lyrics but kept the same beat), Ma City
    >>>And one of their most iconic live rap performances, Outro tear: th-cam.com/video/UDuaJGYe8EQ/w-d-xo.html (this song was one they wrong when they considered breaking up as a group fyi)
I highly recommend listening to UGH next and then watching the DKDKTV explanation of the lyrics, they are amazing lyricists and you’ll be blown away by the depth!
Since they are required to do military service, the group is on a pause and each member is releasing their first official solo album and doing shows/concerts etc before they go, the rapline has all released theirs, RM with Indigo (he has a song w erykah badu!!), Jhope with Jack in the Box (he headlined lollapalooza Chicago this past summer) and lastly Agustd aka Suga with Dday- he is on tour right now. They have some past albums but released them as mixtapes as they were focused on BTS. I think you would likely vibe rlly well with a lot of their music- def would love full album reviews if that’s something you guys do!
A few songs from each of their solo work to checkout:
    >>>Agustd: agustd, give it to me, strange ft rm, people, dday, HUH? Ft jhope, polar night
    >>>Jhope: arson, more, airplane, what if (samples wutang)
    >>>RM: joke (the flows in this song are insane, but it’s an older one so his music has evolved significantly fyi), moonchild, wildflower, still life, change ft wale
Lastly - a great site that does translations is doolset bangtan if you ever are looking up songs! They add in cultural context and past song references (they tend to intertwine some of their lyrics across albums). Just google the song name and doolset and their site pops up.
OK SORRY LOL but if you want links to any of the above just reply and I can prove some! There have some good subtitled live performance videos for the ones w/o mvs.

BTS was formed to be a hip hop group and MANY of their songs are hip hop. The songs you probably heard, were most likely the all english songs, created during the pandemic to bring happiness. But, most of their songs are hip hop and very deep. Agust D (Suga) alone has 2 mixtapes and 1 album with very heavy lyrics that are worth listening to. But both as a group and soloists, they talk about heavy topics in a lot of their songs. I hope you guys give them a chance, you may be surprised💜

Oh dear, these boys dont want to be like any body else, someone said they were the Beatles of the 21st century, but they replied they wanted to be the BTS of the 21st century. All super talented.
Suga released a solo track some years back which is crazy good called Daechwita, and should really be viewed before this.
There are 3 MVs in this series about Suga's emotional journey, the last one is Amygdala ( medical word for a part of the brain that holds trauma and emotion).
Most BTS stuff isn't soft Bruno Mars, they brought out some tracks to be lightweight fun during covid. Actually much of their music has deep meaning.
Haegeum has another meaning, about a release . I cant find the right words. He is now 30, been rapping for about 17 years.
By the way The K2 is brilliant, also watch Healer with the same star Ji Chang Wook.
