Hi Jon there’s a lot of great crunch with that pedal. It’s definitely a great Marshall in a box. I love it 😍 It sounded best to me on the shecter Its definitely on my list as the Andertons Golden Plexi clapped out after only a month. I got my money back.

Especially your tone/presence settings made it sounding less harsh and biting, maybe will add some EQ or stack it with a warmer sounding pedal to get it even smoother :D

I'd like to hear your opinions on strat type guitars sometime. Like, what draws you away from a high gain Fender to something like the Schecter for instance. Speaking from experience, I spent a shedload on a hand built custom tele from a small luthier, and was mighty impressed...but when I look at it, and I think about what I spent on it ($$$) I wonder if I would've be happier long-term with a nice custom shop Fender. Just a thought! 🤔
Well to be sure.. not all fenders have high gain pickups.. unless you mean resale value. I chose the schecter because of what it offers to me as a player. The pickups, neck (radius, extra jumbo frets n roasted maple) are something I don’t see in a fender at that price range. I’m not really an advocate of custom build unless there’s a certain look or sound that I’m going for.. hope this helps✌️❤️
Thank you for the informative and entertaining video Jonathan. I thought I heard some harmonics in there. Was it from the pedal or your touch? I'd like to get the harmonics like ZZ Top does. I will check out your other videos on the n u x pedals I would like to get that singing violin like sustain from my guitar.

Hi Jonathan, loved that crucnch tone, and very smart design for tgat pedal. Very affordable too. Just wandering how does it compare to the Harley Benton British True Tone pedal, which offers a 3 band EQ, and a voicing button from vintage to modern British tones, for even cheaper ptice at $35 instead of $42 for the Nux ?

@@JonIsJustTooLoud allready have the HB British true tone pedal, decent crunch, may be not as articulate than that Nux , as far as I hear through the vid.
I have this one on order ... I have no Plexi in my life, so this may just be "enough until ..."
Now I am curious what Elmo would think of it ... he and his Yngwei-ish sensibilities :D
