For everybody that wants to know my opinion. Here it comes. I know the world is huge and we all have different tastes, but since I’ve been doing this for over 20 years, I think I have a pretty good idea what is good and what is not. All I can tell you is what I felt when I saw this car live and as I was shooting it. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. I’ve been very very critical towards Audi and their direction the last 5 years, and also the lack of new exciting models. But this, this made me feel so good inside. Yes, we have the badges situation, but I know that is gonna be solved within the next few months, and all of you that have been writing and expressing themselves on the Auditography channels, can tap themselves on the shoulder. Now, this car has such a presence in real life, and it’s so freaking beautiful, I almost teared up. The quality of the interior is also much better than for example their latest Q6, Q4 etc models. That made me feel good inside. I seriously looked over on my coworker and told him ”Do you know that this is the first time in 5 years I feel like I want to buy a new Audi?’. He looked over to me and said: ”I can’t get over how beautiful this car is”. So, I don’t call myself like what I think, it has to be like that. I just expressed my 2 cents and you do whatever you want with it. Thank you and have a lovely day!
I like the car overall, but the only downside that makes me hesitate is the look of the center console. It has a cheap appearance, and they replaced the gear shifter with a push-button gear selector, which makes it uglier and less appealing to my inner car enthusiast.
What do you mean by the ‘badge problem’? I guess I need to seemthe car live… i am an A5 lover since day 1, I guess this new A5 fka as A4 will grow on me. What I do not like in general is the flat logo …

Otherwise I really like the car and I’m looking forward purchasing one once it’s released in Australia.

As an owner of the outgoing a5 and long time Audi fan I was looking forward to the new release...but im really disappointed. The long and sleek design of the a5 sportback is gone. Not to mention the back of this new "a5" looks like a koreean smth. brand. The interior looks good but i doubt it can uplift the car to the level it should be on it's own...

Audi A5 used to be one of the best good looking models. This is the end, i don‘t know what kind of drugs the designers take but the cars of all german brands get more and more ugly. Very disappointing
S5 mit V6 top. Gefällt mir sehr gut, innen Raum Top, schade keine beläuchteten Gurtschlösser. Lenkrad find ich schön und hatte keine Probleme auf der Probefahrt mit dem Q4. "Nur" Matrix Licht? Warum nicht HD, Laser oder Digital Light? Wo ist der Vorsprung durch Technik? Aussen sehr schade keine Rahmenlosen Fensterseitenscheiben, stand für mich immer für Premium. Auch sehr schade das es das beleuchtete Audi Logo nicht auf den A5 geschaft hat. Echte Endrohre top.
Base model does 0-60 in 9.8 seconds. Even the top of the line model takes almost 7 seconds and costs almost £60k. I'm a lifelong Audi driver but tbh I'm on the verge of switching to Kia, I can get an EV6 GT for just £2k more that will do 0-60 in 3.2 seconds and has better tech and more creature comforts. There comes a point where you just have to say enough is enough.
Well, idk if this is an audi bmw benz 34d Quattro x drive 5000 but meh, I’ll stick to my 6MT b8 s4. These new cars are so boring. Lifeless. The good old audi days have to come to an end honestly.
I don't mind the look of the B10 honestly, but I think dropping the traditional Torsen AWD in favour the "Quattro ultra" on the performance cars is such a mistake, especially from an enthusiast standpoint. I'll be holding onto my B8.5 S5 for as long as I can.
I'm all for progress but I'm not feeling the big a ss single screen idea they copied from Mercedes... Everything else design wise looks pretty dope. Hopefully the 2.0 TDI Hybrid makes it to the states too.
I'd also like to add that getting rid of the A4 name is sort of a slap in the face when that model is actually what put Audi back on the map and boosted sales in the 90s when the future was bleak. And furthermore the A5 is supposed to be a coupe. How does Audi compete in that market without one?
no more 4 piston and 6 piston front brakes from the b9 generation! unacceptable why are they skimping and using single floating calipers forget tech i want good brakes

The exterior of this car is very beautiful, but the design inside the car and on both sides of the screen is very ugly. At least it would be curved and simple like BMW. It would be very beautiful. The back row of the seats is not suitable for a big person. Audi still has problems with the design of the dashboard and screen. There is a screen. He designed a crooked space
They changed the A4 to the A5 and it came out crap, similar to the Mondeo, Hyundai and similar bland cars. They changed the very nice A5 to the A6 and it came out a beautiful facelift of the A5, which is now the A6 Sportback, only with a huge minus that disqualifies this car because it is electric junk. Audi has gone down a dead end where they will lose customers and money. They went the way of Volkswagen, which got into trouble because of electric cars.
