You should always loosen the oil filter first on a top mounted cartridge style filter. There is oil still in the housing and by loosening you allow that oil to drain into the block and can remove it.
At the 9:25 mark, yes I agree 100% fresh oil makes a huge difference. When my acceleration starts feeling a tad sluggish or my gas mileage drops that's when I change my oil. It's usually between 6k-7200 miles. On full systhetic
I love your R8 Jesse. Great choice in cars. As you know, the R8 is the best supercar across the board. It is very reliable and the most important thing.... it is 100% daily driveable. Lots of people forget that most supercars are not really daily drivable as in they cannot be driven on most city roads. And the ride quality is horribly harsh usually. But the R8 with its quick axle lifter and adjustable ride magnetic shocks are awesome. The only BIG flaw it has is the Expecive magnetic shocks do fail frequently.... and are not cheap. So most people end up switching out to a standard coil over shock. BC has great replacement options, but then you loose the on the fly adjustability.
Why do the kits only come with 2 new plugs? Is draining all 7 mandatory on every oil change or just a good idea once in awhile? The kit only comes with 9qts too so a little confused

I have an R8 V10 also and I don’t get the method of how you measure the oil. It doesn’t matter how much oil comes out, it matters how much goes in. I feel like measuring the oil coming out to see how much to put back is a waste of time. Also, according to my owners manual, it says my V10 takes 8.8 quarts of oil which includes the oil filter change as well. The V8 versions take 10.6 quarts...... Oil sump systems don’t like to be overfilled. You should recheck how much oil is needed in your car.
Make sure you Reinforce the bracing towers on the front end herd those Audi R8 are known to bend the aluminum brace on the front end samcrack bought the cheapest Audi R8 in the States
Jesse, I know you love your R8, but at the end of the day, do you at all regret not getting a Lambo? I know the R8 is technically a Gallardo in audi skin, but you do not have that raging bull on the frunk. And I know you really wanted that tripple black Gallardo Huston took over for. Man that was a sexy ride. Do you wish you had gotten a Bull?
I would not give it a Twin Turbo Mod....Turbos on this car can make many problems due to the transmision.. there's a German TH-camr called "JP Performance"....he gave his R8 V10 also Twin turbos and his transmision blew up... go with an Supercharger due to reliability

What kind of oil do you use ?0w40?what brand we have to buy for this car ?castrol or motul?
Thats cool how you put the oil back in the tank. Something simple so you wont spill onto the engine. Keep up the great work

If u have dual clutch transmission it won't be possible to convert it into a gated manual
